Thank you for watching. Do you believe that your voice is affected by your emotions? Yes or no? Let me know.

Yes...very much in my case ... I've been suffering from it for years..it has changed my voice completely and affected my life adversely.. I'm still hoping desperately to get my voice back...

Definitely believe this. I have anxiety and it causes globus hystericus and I can never sing when I’m anxious and have tight sore throat for a long time. Always causes the tight lump in throat feeling. I found when I did deep breathing for exercises for 3 weeks it helped me sing better. But it happens often where my throat gets tight and sore and I can’t sing again

Absolutely and I've been struggling with it for 2+ years. My neck and throat seem to carry all my emotions!

Useful exercise. Thank you Katarina. I’m like you - long meditation is tough, but a simple breathing exercise like this seems like a good compromise.

Yes, I am convinced that emotional tension tightens up the vocal muscles .
I remember at Princess Diana's funeral, Luciano Pavarotti couldn't face trying to sing ,
because he was so very upset...😢
In my tiny, insignificant way, I found that I couldn't play my piano if I was under stress....
had to be in a " neutral " mood , otherwise it came out badly...
( wasn't that good to start with ! But not bad for self- taught .....😊🎼🎹)
I've noticed if folks are about to cry, their voice tightens , the pitch goes up and sounds" strangled",
so it's clear the state of mind is important , in order to express the music properly....
Thank you, it will be interesting to learn more.
    😊🎼😊🎹💕😊🎼😊

Absolutely, funerals are not a place to showcase your voice.

The moving diagram for the breathing exercise
is easier to follow than counting 😊.
Just follow the expanding and contracting blue circles !
    Very good ! Thank you.

I find the app useful too. Just follow the circles so that you don't have to count in your head.

Absolutely, I always notice increased tension in my voice when I've had a ZOOM meeting that has been stressful and yes I think it affects my volume which increases the tension.
