Any corrections or edits will be here since I was making this guide entirely without the game: The palico pouch IS a thing once you hit HR8. When you start, your pally will just pick up small materials, but once he gets the pouch he can actually gather larger materials and then you can tap the bag when it's full. "Potions do NOT heal 50 hp, they heal 50% max hp, so the hp up skill increases the amount of health Potions heal and is a huge reccomend from me for new players." Thank you @shinyrainbowumbreon5156 for that correction 🙏🏻 In case it's unclear, you have a BUNCH more customization options once you get the game started. You can then click on tour character and change their appearance again.
Minor Correction. Potion do NOT heal 50 hp, they heal 50% max hp, so the hp up skill increases the amount of health Potions heal and is a huge reccomend from me for new players.
With 4x SNS in grp it is easy to pummel basically everything really fast. My go to weapon is SNS while I don't have time to stop or just want to do fast farming runs. But I rather play with all weapons especially when hunting in group.
I really hope that they add longer fights to the game, and a multiplayer options for friends long distance. I’m still fine with the AR aspect like I’d still have to go out to paintball the monster but when I get home I’d like the hunt with friends all the monsters we found on our trips. I don’t have any friends near me who play these games and this game won’t have as big of a following as Pokémon go so I doubt i will be able to find strangers to play with
This video had a TON! Thanks for thinking about us noobs when crafting this. I learned a lot from this. I think I have to rewatch it a few times to make sure I absorbed it all. Thanks again and good luck in your journey.
I’ve got a foldable bike and I’ve found my exercise to be more regular as a result of playing this and riding the foot powered bike. I think the foot powered bike is so good for getting around compared to a foot powered scooter or skateboard. With the bicycle you can coast down a hill which helps a lot. Where as with walking or running, you don’t have that option due to not having the wheels. Also, a bike has a seat.
I actually did hit NO to "do you want to be a Hunter." She makes a comment about disbelief and you could do it, and then asks again. After refusing 4 or 5 times, it becomes clear that she will always make the same comment, gotta say Yes to progress. Good luck
Thanks for the guide, i'm actualy a bow player, so dodging and time monsters attacks it's my priority now. I can't rush, i live in one of the high temperature citys of México, and i can't go outside now. Another things to add, i don't know if is arrown de world, but the map change some times, a day start at 5 or 6 am in my city, so any one can count 3 hour after 6 to the new spawns.
Recomendations for ranged players: Elemental damage it's your best friend, especialy poison, if you are out of range your attacks can do a lot of damage, you need to study your prey. Affinity it't the second best damage bonus if you use a long bow. If you use light blowgun sneak attack it's the best option, why? When you dodge you will see the lizards rear a lot, but blowgun have rapid fire, and bow charge the attack, and when the bow it's full charge you will able to make a crit more often. Jagras Mail will make you hunts more easy, you will took a lot of seconds dodging, reloading and charging, you will need that last seconds extra damage. You can't use Lock on of kulu head, use another thing. Pukei will charge your bow more rapid, and kadachi your reload in bowgun.
Also save up the free stuff every 10 HR, I assumed it would give them constantly and now at HR 110 I lack paintball and could only rely on the free palico paintball if I don't wanna spend gems
In all seriousness, thanks for the guide as it gives great insight to what to expect. Looking forward to your future content. Now I just gotta find more people who actually play the game where I live.
I'm kind of thankful that I can play MH in my phone. I don't have any kind of consoles. My laptop is also not powerful enough for games on that level. ❤
Great video; subscribed! I really like your focus on which armor sets to go after for the early game. I've kinda been crafting too much stuff without really understanding what I need so this helps a ton!
So to clarify, go through the game at your own pace but make sure that once you unlock Rathian to stop and grind all the gear you want to use up to at least grade 5 to prevent locking yourself out of using that lower rank gear. Other than the Kulu helm, are there any recommendations for armour that can be useful later in the game? Thanks for the vid, was well put together.
Hope they add more content like crafting heals and other items or even tamale monsters to aid in battle and kinda bring back the whole monster territory battles
Im still holding out hope they let us play online with friends. Most of my MH friends I made thru online play, and Id love to be able to hunt with them, even if we arent right next to one another. (Also please add dual blades niantic/capcom, please, I feel naked with only one weapon)
it gets super boring when you get to later parts of 7stars level, you can already get any equipments you need for any build, from there it's literally just repeating for bigger numbers, there's no difficulty changes or monster moves, just more HP, bigger numbers, pure mind numbing grinding.
So… with Pokemon go, the goal is to catch all the Pokemon and level them up. With monster hunter now- is it the same as iceborn? Defeat enemies to get better gear or what?
At the start of the video I was laughing, thinking that a mobile format could never work for a monster hunter game... At the end of the video I have taken enough notes to fill an A4 sheet of paper 🤣
Great vid, hope you had also time to play the actual game in first days 😂 Fun fact: I tried selecting No multiple times when you are asked about joining hunters, wanted to see is there anything hidden there. (like in some FF games). Unfortunately nothing there, or then I gave up too soon. 😅
Already favoring Hammer, you'll get it around the time you gotta fight the Paralysis Jagras whose name eludes me for some reason Edit: GIRROS! Damn I'm mentally fogged up today
Question for OP, or anyone who can answer, regarding pausing to grind once you unlock 4-star monsters. That sounds like good advice, given what was said about losing access to 1-4 star monsters after you unlock 5-star monsters. However, in this video, it was said that getting to 4-star monsters happens when you meet Rathian for the first time. Did that change? I just unlocked 4-star monsters, but it happened when I completed the story quest to kill Jyuratodus, not Rathian. So I still can't find Rathians to farm in the field. Did they change which monsters unlock which Star-levels? In the storyline, I'm now on the last step of Chapter 7, where I have an Urgent Hunt to fight a 4-Star Barroth. I'm hesitant to complete it because I'm concerned it will unlock 5-star monsters before I've had the chance to farm up mats to level up the armor I want. Should I just sit tight where I am and farm from here? Or can I still keep going even though I've unlocked 4-star monsters, until I get the story quest to kill Rathian? TLDR: Killing Jyuratodus unlocked 4-star for me. Can I get to Rathain while maintaining the 4-star limit, or did they change something such that I have to stop here to farm before unlocking 5-star monsters?
So killing Rathian will unlock 5 star monsters. Pretty much all this info is from the soft launch/beta so some has changed, but mainly just the spawn rates. Honestly the drops are crazy hard to get anything higher than a rarity 3 and you will still see lower mons pretty much always. But they aren't even needed because like I said the drop rates now are primarily 1 rarity stuff haha. Now that I've played the game for almost 2 months, the only reason I would recommend you slow down at any point is if there is a difficulty spike. So if you can't do enough DPS to take down your highest stars relatively easy, then you might want to wait because you will get a lot of mons you just can't take out. I hope that makes sense. TLDR: Killing Rathian unlocks 5 star monsters. Don't stop unless your weapons are really weak and you need to grind.
My only issue is big rare resources are lock in old pokemon go pokstops locations. Which I only have 1 in my area. I can't upgrade some weapons to grade 2. Lucky is not the only way to get rare resources. Hope this change in the future. Minor grip about monster appearing in biomes that they not suppose be in. I understand the reason why, but this probably going be fix when they add more monster and biomes to the game
It go pew pew. lol I have a brief overview in my weapons video that was made before the game came out. Hi just wondering why in the paralysis build you don't use girros coil and the legs together as both provide paralysis boost? Can skills not stack in this game?
The only major downside of this game is the inventory. It is so easy to max out without spending money to increase your inventory size... and having bad drops doesn't help. You can't even upgrade your weapons/armors pass Grade 5/6.
I wasted 300 gems with the double rewards because its right above the "accept" button, and unless you change the settimgs, it wont ask for confirmation

Yeah as a monster hunter vet I just play fashion souls and pick a set that I like the look of. I never get hit anyways, so I just max out my weapon and ignore armor. At least until 5 Star then I started building armor for the bonus dmg.
I clicked on a monster to fight. Then I had the option to fight it solo or with another player. It just happened this time that there was 1 other person I could fight with. So I picked this option and then we fought together. My question is, how close do you have to be to be able to detect another player that you can fight with like in my scenario? This was such a rare incident for me. I didn't actually think I'd find another player to fight with but then again it was within possibility as the game had only recently launched globally and the hype is still there.
Quick question! I have unlocked four star monsters and I'm really having fun! But, what is the absolute last chapter I can complete before making five star monsters available? I wanna do the gear grinding but also want to do as much of the main quests as possible 😁
So you unlock 5 stars once you defeat Rathian. Honestly after having experience with the game I would stop right before fighting Rathalos and chill there for a bit. The jump from 4-5 Stars doesn't feel like much but the jump from 5-6 makes the monsters feel much more Tanky.
Ya, the introduction is quite coarse and abrupt. Personally, it could use some more pacing and polish, but that's just me nitpicking. Other than that, the game holds up fairly well. (Small note, the Palico item bag collection still applies and unlocks at rank 8, I think. Just did this a few minutes ago.)
Bro I'm about to post a video with this in it, but you're not being punshed! If you stay under HR10 you will ALWAYS stay at 10 first aid meds indefinitely! So you can grind endlessly early game! If you're already over it then whatever, but even in main line games you can only hold 10 because they are provided by the guild. You have no cap on potions though, so just don't ever use those until late game! That's my plan. You get at least 5 First aid meds a day though, so you should at least use 5 to take advantage of that.
Any corrections or edits will be here since I was making this guide entirely without the game:

If you're already over it then whatever, but even in main line games you can only hold 10 because they are provided by the guild. You have no cap on potions though, so just don't ever use those until late game! That's my plan. You get at least 5 First aid meds a day though, so you should at least use 5 to take advantage of that.
@@HuntersNotez ok I'm extra confused then because I'm hr11
I'll keep grinding tho 🤷♂️
I’m not seeing the founder’s medal anywhere. Know where it is?

What phone? Sounds like you have a very bad connection, or the app isn't fully supported on your phone.
Title "Monster hunter now"
Ost : Pokke Village theme
Okay, thanks bring the ost that make me sure I will play OLD MH again😂
I make sure to look out for the fellow OG Fans 💪😎❤
Just got you know even the elder dragons can only be for in 70 seconds
Thanks a ton Glen! 🥰
You’re welcome! 😁
What does it mean by gather resources in gathering thing I’m near nothing
Walk to a gathering node. They'll be like pokestops in pokemon go. Or reset your app every 15 mins and let your cat gather for you.
@@HuntersNotez Tysm!!!
I’m enjoying your game so far and I really hope to meet other hunters!
Unga bunga, I like my big sword with its big damage !😁
Do you know what time when small monster respawn?
I tried saying no to becoming a hunter. She asked again. Apparently 17 "no" and 1 "yes" is all the consent that she needs.
Great sword user here 💪😁
it's finally here ^_^
