the only thing i would also do is when the oil has been drained pour in a little bit of good clean oil and let it drain out... that way it gets out any of the old oil out of the bottom of the pan... same way with a transmission fluid change...
Oil change well done. Couple of suggestions. It might be worth while to buy an oil wrench for the filter. You can use a short extension on the bottom of the oil filter wrench and loosen it easily with your rachet. I do it in 2 stages to let some old oil out first then loosen again for the rest. Then drain the filter into the drain pan mine has a little “platform” to place it on. You might consider using another funnel that fits in the oil spout better then add the new oil. Valvoline is an excellent choice and so is your Mobile 1 oil filter. I use a large piece of cardboard under the car that I got from Costco to catch any oil spills. I was shocked at the amount of salt stains you had on the underside of the vehicle. If you get a chance consider going to a car wash over the winter. I’m looking around for a 2016 CR V to replace our 2002 which has been a great car!

I got to tell a coworker that he can take his old oil to an auto shop for disposal. All thanks to you RQ
Helping the world take more breathes of fresh air! One oil recycle at a time!
What if change filter first, ? Before drain plug
After you fill the oil let the car run for 15 seconds so it fills the oil filter. Then check the dipstick again.
Thanks for the great tip! That is a great step to do when doing an oil change. I appreciate the feedback!
