Also, I would recommend always shaking of your oil before installing. The detergent and lubricating additives often are settled in the bottom.

Crush washer "still looks ok" is not a thing. Its used. It's crushed. Always replace.

I used a paper cup to cover the filter cartridge to avoid messy oil spill.

@@albertopazos6581 I'm curious, how many miles in between each oil change? and what's you total mileage so far? How much oil will it burn?

Great thank you. I notice your mini screen is white, I have a 2016 and only have blue and the best option back colour

Just FYI, the lubrication and detergent package in the standard for synthetic is superior to the platinum. The ultra platinum is truly top-of-the-line, but not by much over the full synthetic.

It’s funny everyone has different opinions on what should have been done, but I’m sure half of them go to express oil change places.😅

What if the milles suggest not there yet but the oil life is 10% what should we do ?

You should pre-fill the oil filter, that can cause a temporary dry start by not doing so. And also those crush washers are supposed to be replaced at every oil change.

I generally agree, however this oil filter was on a 45 Degree slant. I suppose I could have added a small amount in the filter. I would also expect that gravity would bring some oil into the filter prior to starting.
