Imagine if the Gungans had *updated their military* with pragmatic efficient designs and "modern" tactics. Their _handheld Force shields_ were a *very powerful* item that gave them a amazing edge. Use it in one hand in combination with a good blaster pistol or carbine in the other and a Gungan is a scary opponent. And instead of using plasma balls with slings and catapults, use them as warheads in launchers - from grenade launchers (single or repeating) or even large bullets, all the way up to vehicle mounted missile systems. And with shields on small vehicles they would be pound for pound the deadliest ground vehicles. But handheld force shields are the game changer, they even work against Sith lighting!. A Gungan Jedi who used it with a Lightsaber would have a terrific advantage, there's a reason that sword and shield was the favourite combination in historical warfare. Well as much as id like to agree with you those handheld shields arent very user friendly... There's a reason not everybody uses them, its bcuz they emit a certain amount of radiation that can prove lethal with prolonged use. Considering that Episode one shows this hatred between the Humans and Gungans, it showed a trend that the prequel trilogy would follow in the form of politics.
No, mate, the whole point of the episode one relationship development between the humans and gungans was learning to work together. The humans could not have infiltrated the palace without the gungan distraction and the gungans could not have battled the Trade Federation by themselves. The lesson was for the two factions to respect the cultures of one another and establish a relationship around reciprocity.
I always love the unique architectural style and culture of the gungans. They muster and marches from the swamp, their underwater cities, their shields and plasma ball. It is so authentic. Still hate jar-jar tho, couldn’t figure out why they made him a general.

There's a lot of videos showing the clues hidden in TPM, with Jar Jar clandestinely using Force abilities and his bumbling fool devastating everything in the main battle was him playing sly and using a _drunken master_ fighting style. He has Sith eyes and the Venator twin bridges look a lot like his face. There was to be a slow transition after the reveal, as the Venator design work was done way before. That's the irony, fanboy hate ruined the best twist in the prequels.

I always respected the gungans, mostly because one of the characters that stuck with me after watching Episode I when I was little was Roos Tarpals, the gungan captain. He was one of my favorites, partially because he serves as the straight man to Jar Jar antics, and partially because he was an actual badass. He was even ready to fight to the death during the final battle, before Jar Jar surrendered the army. He is the one that shows what a real gungan is like, not Jar Jar.
Dark history of the Wookies (And the Lasat). But the Wookies were in some way idiots. They had *a lot of advantages* which they didn't exploit and they left themselves vulnerable to exploitation and slavery. Physically one of the most powerful species they also had the huge advantage of a 400 year lifespan, so Wookies that went out into the wider galaxy could get very skilled and move up the ranks to control companies and organisations just by seniority, and they didn't have to worry about workplace bullying. And as a species they knew secret hyperspace routes and had a special Pathfinder class that could discover new hyperspace paths. Wookies could've taken over a bunch of merchant companies (and other organisations, a Wookie with 20 years studying business!!!), by moving up the ranks, and _gotten rich enough_ to buy some serious firepower, and security and influence against the Trandoshans. And they should've set up colonies far away as safety bolt holes, they can live in far more rugged environments than a human. Maybe they did? And there's a secret Wookies planet, just like with the Lasat species… But consider, _5 times the lifespan of a human, possibly 10 times the strength, and can survive naked on planets_ where a human in full protective gear is still miserable and at risk of illness/infection/exposure. Their only real disadvantage is hairballs and maybe matting …
The fact that Naboo was once inhabited by super dangerous alpha predator fauna that were driven to extinction by the sentient inhabitants may have something to do with Palpatine's innate instinct to kill the Zillo Beast.

I always respected the gungans, mostly because one of the characters that stuck with me after watching Episode I when I was little was Roos Tarpals, the gungan captain. He was one of my favorites, partially because he serves as the straight man to Jar Jar antics, and partially because he was an actual badass. He was even ready to fight to the death during the final battle, before Jar Jar surrendered the army. He is the one that shows what a real gungan is like, not Jar Jar.
Dark history of the Wookies (And the Lasat).
But the Wookies were in some way idiots. They had *a lot of advantages* which they didn't exploit and they left themselves vulnerable to exploitation and slavery.
Physically one of the most powerful species they also had the huge advantage of a 400 year lifespan, so Wookies that went out into the wider galaxy could get very skilled and move up the ranks to control companies and organisations just by seniority, and they didn't have to worry about workplace bullying.
And as a species they knew secret hyperspace routes and had a special Pathfinder class that could discover new hyperspace paths.
Wookies could've taken over a bunch of merchant companies (and other organisations, a Wookie with 20 years studying business!!!), by moving up the ranks, and _gotten rich enough_ to buy some serious firepower, and security and influence against the Trandoshans. And they should've set up colonies far away as safety bolt holes, they can live in far more rugged environments than a human.
Maybe they did? And there's a secret Wookies planet, just like with the Lasat species…
But consider, _5 times the lifespan of a human, possibly 10 times the strength, and can survive naked on planets_ where a human in full protective gear is still miserable and at risk of illness/infection/exposure.
Their only real disadvantage is hairballs and maybe matting …

Maybe because most epic stories were greatly inspired by human history... Check the senat, check how one tyrant / dictator grew more and more powerful until he transformed the galactic republic into a galactic empire it's basically Gaius Julius Caesar's story or even Hitler since that bastard was also chancellor before becoming a dictator. Also the troopers and their officers kinda resemble the f******* Nazis of WWII. The amazing warfare of the Ewoks is greatly inspired by the Vietcong with the traps and hiding and stuff.

I love Naboo, it’s so gorgeous and diverse and interesting. I wonder if you’d do a video on the history of Naboo after the events of Episode I? I think I remember some revisiting of it and it’s senator in TCW but after that the only thing I know is that they were edited in to be cheering at the end of Episode VI for one of the rereleases lol

It is make believe.
Gravity rock pressure creates heat. Sand/ rock of different grades will melt into lava. Water just turns into steam. Heated pressurized liquid gas is plasma , but " water " still can't in the planet's core. It is too light and will steam out.
Can you have a complete jungle planet? I can see a snow planet, a water planet, and maybe a desert planet (even mars has snow at the poles.) This is Star Wars.
