Glad to see this model again! I used to have a 2017 238d, factory M Sport xDrive in Alpine White over black-fully optioned, and I can’t complain. Only regret is not doing the EGR delete and tuning it back then. Here’s hoping enough people buy the M5 Touring so we can finally see the G81 in the States!
@@TopherParkerCars You haven’t got the insane fuel prices like here. Big petrols are not common, plus we get screwed for high road tax the bigger the engine.
I owned a 2016 F30 3-Series for 7 years. It's a good car. I wouldn't get a diesel though. BMWs are already a specialty item when it comes to repairs and maintenance - most mechanics hate working on them because they are overly complicated. To add the complications, rarity, and specialty needed to work on a diesel version would scare me off. I doubt even the dealership has much experience working on the diesels. Best years of the F30 is 2017 and up - to avoid the n20 and also get the small overlap crash improvements.
@@IEATU95 most won't last that long. That's why there is a government manded recall after years of litigation. A simple Google search will tell you you got lucky. Very, very lucky.
There was an F30 320i in the US. The thing is that first of all the Euro 320d and USA 328d aren't the same. While the early 320d and 328d both used N47 engines. The US cars used a different cooling system, tune and turbocharger. Also these were priced and equipped very similar to a 328i so it makes sense to call it a 328d rather than 320d. 320i in the US was more of a base base car.

We have 3l twin turbo diesel beemers here in Europe. They are a beast
We got a 335d in the previous generation, but that’s it for the diesel 3 series

15 base gas f31 328i here. I do love that it's playful and gets pretty ok mpg.

I had an n20 328i go to 190000 miles with not a single problem. Also it was a 2013. So this is false.

Weird they called an euro 320d a 328d in the US. I guess it's because they don't really do 320i in the US
