      @@azizdrivesAll new cars have a small deviation in their fuel consumption numbers. They are setup this way because they get more accurate the more kilometers you put in them and they can even become more economic than what they're showing when you rack up a lot of road miles.
      Since you always drive cars with low mileage, you'll most likely fall in the first part.

    I was considering buying that car and loved torque wave, but had enough of diesels for now after owning 4 of them in the row, so ended up with 540i Xdrive touring. Driving like you did, it would take about 7.5l/100 max with OEM+ MHD map 360hp 500NM. What actually positively surprised me is, that going across continent including autobahns, it never took more than 10.5l/100 and I do not drive slow, quite far from it. Mine previous f31 330d Xdrive LCI was burning about 8.5l/100 in the same conditions but was much slower on autobahn even after remap. So taking into account potential future costly problems with this complicated quad turbos, DPF, carbon deposit issues, EGR cooler saga, etc, I am happy with the petrol version and can highly recommend it after 3 years of trouble free driving. Moving around in the big city heavy traffic is completely different story as mine is without mild hybrid, and start stop is coded out. Expect about 15l/100. Thank you and safe driving everyone.

      Same story. After too many diesels decided to go with a 640iX. Done a 44km round trip to a small town to my parents....6.5l/100km (avg speed 65km ). Im big city with a lot of stops and accelerations....15l/100km. I decided to go for gasoline for the same reason, tired of all the anti-pollution systems which are a pain in the ass if they fail. Easier to put gas in tank than send it to service

    • @derbigpr500
      @derbigpr500 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      It hasn't. Modern petrol engines consume less fuel than they used to in the past if you're driving them slowly. A diesel still consumes little fuel no matter how you drive them. If you're just cruising around as slowly as possible a modern petrol can come close to a diesel, if you touch the throttle the consumption in a petrol engine will go up dramatically, but in a diesel it wont.

      Drive a modern Diesel and Petrol on the same german Autobahn and you will see at least a 30% difference at cruising speed (180+ km/h).
      An example: Your 3L I6 Diesel needs 10L/100km. Meanwhile the Petrol needs at least 15L/100km. Massive difference.

    It must be the same station and the same piston! First you filled with more than 50 litres so there was a lot of foam on the top that stopped the piston. Actually, you should calculate and stop for some every 5 litres near the last quarter of tank to avoid it. Or you should swing the car like maniac on the station with the other person and fill it to the top. And the second time as well. Little bit weird, but it works.

    My car at 100kmh = 1L=22 km. Every 20 km speed I add 2km fuel economy lost, so 120=20 , 140=18, 160=16 180=14. Higher speeds? Who cares about fuel :)
    Do that with gas car with lots of accelerations, then you will not get far on a tank. Diesel is superb for long journeys at high speed, not for sensation, because there is none.
