This is great to watch, only just discovered these videos. I've raced Glenn a few times and I know he's a beast. Would love to join this race sometime!
@@OzempicFace dumpstered, LOL. Crits have different strategy and physiology, so you don't just pull power averages and compare. No world tour rider could drive up and auto-win at this level.
Good ol' Red Gloves vs. White Socks. Takes me back to the days when Pappy took me down to Fenway Park to witness the heated rivalry in person. Waiter! Another drink, please. I'm enjoying this trip down memory lane.
Hey @NorcalCyling, is it possible to include a current gradient thingo in the corner. So we have some ideas of whether the race is going uphill or downhill (it's kind of hard to tell sometimes just from the video). Thanks!

@@pierrevandenkieboom wow! And still stay at 180bpm for a very long time. That's really painful. This race really must've hurt him...(according to him as well)
At the beginning, guy in yellow was in the soon-to-be-banned 'imaginary aerobar' position the whole time, even through those bends in a park in Holland at 47kph. And UCI says that dangerous.
You need to adapt your next vlog title to the cast of riders in the race: Night shift(Glenn) drops 1500 watts on Red Gloves or White Legs White Socks takes a flyer off Blue Jersey. Let's make it comical.
Wouldn’t be pretty. Netherland and Belgium breeds “big” guys / girls (cycling standards) with very high power like MVP and Wout. Also pretty aggressive in general. There are a couple videos of good pro US teams like Elevate that go there. Just tough when you have a team of mostly 65-75kg riders compete against 80-90kg with 400+ FTP. Maybe throw in some long hills and it would be interesting. Perhaps not apples to apples since not sure how good this team is in the area vs legion with a national champ. But Europe in general is just better...😪
@@bam0505 Justin williams actually raced in the Netherlands when he was a u23 rider. Trainerroad had him in one of their podcasts. Legion has superior team tactics, can maintain 33+ mph unlike here in the late 20s and giving the Conti guy time to attack(same as last video). Also, Justin and Cory can hold 1900watts, 60+ kph sprint for up to 15 secs. However, Dutch crit roads are way too narrow and would be unusual for Legion.
Around 8:25, there's a guy why touches the seat/butt of the guy in front. I see this a lot, but don't really understand what it's about. Is it essentially just a lazy way of breaking or is it more for situational awareness or signalling a team mate?
