Love watching your channel and it gave me the confidence to do the trim delete myself! However, after doing the trim delete in gloss black Avery film I find that the areas that tuck under the trim or where you would stretch it at the ends to get a clean finish eventually peel back a little and I'm finding myself going over tucking it under before i go for a drive. I prep'd the surface and cleaned it with prepsol and starting to think that because I applied it when it was only 10 deg. Celsius the adhesive has not taken to the aluminium trim....or maybe it the design of the trim? For reference it's an Audi A6 avant.

I did a chrome delete on my grill trim, and on all my window trims. Looks professionally done too! Definitely didn’t take me a longer than a hour and a half though. Could’ve been faster but it’s my first
time doing it. I personally think it’s not worth paying over $100 or $200 or even way way way more! to get it done at a vinyl/Tint shop. DIY! People! Save you money and you learned something new.

I have an Audi s5. Just took a look. I see the rubber seal on the top chrome is on top and bottom. So just gotta get blade in between rubber and trim, right. Looks like you have to wedge your blade in between the seal, because it’s pretty tight on the top seal. Also, On bottom trim, little easier. There’s no rubber seal on the bottom part of the bottom chrome trim. Bonus, the mirror is not in the way, it’s actually about 6 inches away from the corner of where most mirrors are, there actually a black plastic plate on that little corner, so I can do that part without removing mirror. Only fear is cutting the seal by mistake. But I’m might try it if I can’t find someone to do this job under $125. It it wasn’t such a nice car, I would just go for it, without being nervous lol

When applied properly will last for quite some time. But all white sounds like a cool idea! Hope this helps a little!

Admittedly it's cheap ebay vinyl as I just wanted to give it a go. Tried post heating too but it still seems to lift after a day or so on the ends. Is there a particular vinyl that has a very strong adhesive?

Painted quite a bit of trims that were wrapped...never pretty once I've taken the time trim off. Even if your extremely precise cutting it, Always a cleaner job and lasts when parts are removed so theres no peeling up. Good job though 👌

Can you show a video of a trim delete on a harder car? My 17 fusion has a very tight rubber lip right up against the chrome and a wide curved piece that i'm kinda lost on.
