I work as a Signmaker for over 20 years now in the Netherlands, and love watching your video's with so much tips, tricks and enthusiasm: you're at the top! Keep it up 👍🏻
I'm wondering why you didn't wrap that bottom part of chrome that you had removed off the car. would it not be easier to wrap it around some of the bottom edges while the piece was off the car?
Love every single video of yours. The way you make things making it look so easy , but in reality its an absolute nightmare. I spent 8 hours other day try to delete chrome on my car and next day 4 hours just to peel everything off that i applied eventually.
I have an 08 impreza hatchback and it has chrome on the grille and on the hatch. I went with gloss carbon to delete it. It came out pretty good for the first things I ever wrapped.
I learned this trick my third time wrapping my fender, my passenger side came out way cleaner then the drivers side, im probably gonna re do it, but good trick
I’m attempting this today. I’ve already watch this video once to get an idea of what to expect, and I’m watching it one more time before I head out to my garage to do it. I want to laud you and thank you for making these videos for us. They’re top-notch.
Very through and the emphasis on problematic and more difficult sections is probably going to save me from having to waste wrap an time doing it over again. The only suggestion I have is in regards to the lighting. Because the lights are thin they reflect off the gloss paint and happen to be right around the focal point and make it difficult to see the chrome trim... A cheap hack is to have nice bright lights behind plexiglass you can very lightly frost with a spray can to reflect the light evenly
I might have missed it; why did you remove the bottom window trim pieces when you did the vinyl install & cutting with the trim laying in place on the door? Seems like a lot of extra work. Thank you for your long & detailed video! So many youtube videos are done by professionals that race thru or skip the small details. Great job.
Sorry to comment on old vid, what if rubber trimmer is super tight against the chrome trim? Should I just remove the trim instead and wrap then install?
@@CKWraps - I know, I meant why take them off then place them back in situ to wrap? Once they’re off, would it not be easier to wrap them on the bench?
Ah I see what you mean. It's because I need to pull on them to wrap around the corners, it's actually easier to have them mounted to something like the car itself. If it was on a bench then it would be sliding across the bench as I pull around the corners.
@@CKWraps oh car isn't wrapped. I didn't watch the video. By the way thank you, I got into vinyl wrapping bc couldn't afford to wrap things I want over and over bcI like to change up colors lol. Now I have guys from car clubs bringing cars to me to wrap. Though I haven't done anything bigger than hood and rear lower bumper. But did all trims in and out on multiple cars and people say info better job than couple pro shops we have in town. Thank you for being my teacher I learned so much and watched countless videos of yours multiple times. Lol hope that helped you too. I got one problem with center consoles with big holes, can't get wrap to stay on inside it keeps pulling out. did this center console piece like 5 times same problem. I am either retarded or something. Thanx mate.
@@russianamerican7397 I don't mean to be impolite but I can answer more questions on my website and draw out how I would do it based off of the pictures you guy post in the forum. There are challenges to everything wrap related. In most cases I know how to make those challenges much easier.
I am surprised my post even got replied to, to start with. And I didn't expect you to start answering some random dudes post. 24 a day don't enough for me right now, I wish I had time to go to your website and do all that. But I lost my only family, my mom 2 months ago, and without life insurance right after a year I spent almost all on her medical I am trying to keep roof over my and Chappies head(my cat and only family left). But your videos taught me enough to bring in extra $600 home this month. I am sure I could make more, but I do wrapping instead of sleeping half the time. lol. At least 13 years in military trained me well to run for days with no sleep. Anyways, thank you so much for your videos. I'll try to watch as much as I can. I have passed out and woke up in my car(taking a middle of night nap while driving for Lyft and Uber) with your videos going on TH-cam. Peace.
@@CKWraps and no worries, no one thought you were impolite. I didn't expect anyone to answer at all, why I posted question only god knows. Nah, he wouldn't know neither.
You can buy it in a slim roll about 2"-3" but it doesn't work for a lot of window trims. Some window trims have a rear quarter window trim that's in the shape of a "V" so you'll need a wider piece
@@CKWraps Wow. I was surprised with that price. I chrome deleted my previous vehicle myself so wasn't expecting this amount$$. Guess it helps having a steady hand and patience. Would the 3m 1080 gloss black work well? I truly appreciate you replying to my comment. You do great work, If your shop were closer to me I would have you do some work on my car.

superb presentation. watched the whole thing and now confident for my first wrap.

that subtle whistle got the song dont worry be happy stuck in my head
Chrome delete jobs can be some of the most time consuming and challenging parts of wrapping cars
I was waiting your video. 😆
Great job it looks awesome 👌

Hi, awesome video. I was wondering how do you do if the ends of the trims ended in plastic and not chrome?
We stop there
Amazing great tutorial best vid i found
Words of wisdom 'better have extra film than a little' : aka dont be cheap doing quality work
Better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it 😇
Good job 💖💖
you ever do an audi s6? the upper trim above the doors on my car has like texturized lines on it, makes it difficult for the wrap to stick to.
Must thank you for great videoes. Wrapping mt-07 and cbr125r this winter. Have been a dissaster or very expensive whitout ckWraps💪
Is it better to cut just where rubber seal meats trim or a bit over size and tuck between rubber seal and trim by opening seal a bit.
Wish you were located in Illinois
Great but is plsstidip better option
Can you tint chrome to make it like a black chrome?
Is there a wraps to have the black chrome look or just a tint and not that black gloss
great tutorial.
great video
I don’t know about everyone else, but it’s the peeling off of the excess that does it for me
This video was very helpful!! I was able to chrome delete my CLS successfully! Thanks for posting this.👍👍👍
If you are planning on putting rain guards on should you use vinyl wrap on the areas the rain guards will cover?

Any cutting tips? I attempted this yesterday but my cut wasn’t perfect and some small edges of the chrome are visible when looking at the right angle.
Don't worry.... be happy. 🎶
What brand are you using for wrapping cars tnx.
Do you ever do any work on MINIS at all?
Can you test sonoma green metallic by Hexis? Is it really close to the original paint by Audi?
2009 ish Benz wheel center caps... vinyl cut the emblem.... do you think it stay on long?
Where did you get that vinyl tape?? Can i find it on amazon?? Thanks
So much better in black. Why wouldn’t you do the lower piece off the car? Especially having gone to the effort of removing it from the car?
The lower window trims? I did wrap all of the window trims.

3m is good but other companies like vvivid
Work too

Material used?
Why do you use gloss wrap for the trim and not satin or matte?
Matte will look too much like the rubber seal
@@roberte4605 copy that. I just used satin.
do you have any tricks to wrapping jeep tj fenders. i am having a very difficult time wrapping my fenders
