Hey thanks! I’m a 55 year old woman who enjoys trying to tackle projects myself. Got this changed out with no issues thanks to your video - but also mainly thanks to your TOOL LIST! Awesome! 👍🏼. Had to buy a deep socket and an extension and then It was smooth sailing 😁
Nice work Debora. Well done.
Best comment on the internet! Way to be a go getter Debora! As a pro I can assure you if you can change mounts you can do a loooot yourself!
video was posted 8 yrs ago and still relevant. am glad i found it!!! thank you!! just did mines today
This is absolutely top notch.
So informative and well laid out. Even down the lighting, angle and audio.
Thank You so much to all involved with ZipZapDIY
I have done this job 1/2 dozen times ..I have never taken the battery out .... Remove the airbox ...3 screws ..much easier
Easier to remove the airbox. Don't have to worry about removing the battery and fuse box.
I doing this to.
Thanks for the video. I think I need to do my engine mounts too though. Bummed you didn't show that.
🤔How do you take the transmission mount bolts out (not the bracket that holds it) if the heads of the bolts are rusted out and socket just crushes the edges of the bolt head and make it into a round bolt head?
Woulda been nice to see you support the transmission with the jack.
Thank you. I just pulled out a non-OEM transmission mount the previous owner put in 😅
hello, excellent video, a question, when you remove the mount does not that part lower a bit? or underneath is something to raise and level?
Thanks bro. Very helpful.
life saver thanks for the help
happy to!
Impact wrench a must if old one was put in with impact wrench, or some kind of breaker bar.
Thank you
good vid thanks
Excellent
thanks Men, you help me a lot with this vídeo!
Do you have a video for the ither mounts? Title of this video led me to think they'd be included.
Do you know how to remplace por a standar versión model 2007 honda element?
is there anyone that as changed the rear mount
Does this show a manual transmission, or an automatic transmission? Are they similar? Thanks.
Automatic in this video, manual should be nearly identical.
Manual mount does not have the weight, and bolts to compartment differently. I'm still trying to figure out how to get to all the bolts.
What size impact wrench is best ???
3/8" drive
is there a reason aome mounts have weights and some dont
I think that is there to protect the tranny from falling too far forward if the mount should fail, but it is kind of unneccesary as the circular metal part that holds the rubber mount in place would have to fail also for that to be useful and is highly unlikely to happen. If the mount fails, you will likely know it before it becomes catastrophic so really just an unnecessary waste of iron to put that on there.
How do you automatically tell which mount has gone bad without having a direct visual on them????
I don't think there is a way to determine without visual inspection. If your motor rocks and the mount you can see is fine, then it must be one of the lower mounts... right?
@@ZipZapDIY ...and where do you show how to do that? The kit I'm looking at shows 3 motor mounts and that 1 transmission mount.
THis mount is hydraulic? Mine gets oil from the rubber of the support, it's weird. Regards
stock is not hydraulic, just a standard rubber type mount.
Could it be that the same model but hydraulic? I saw it in a video. Mine dripping liquid
very unlikely on a Honda. what color is the fluid?
ZipZapDIY the fluid it's a little brown.
i'd check the brake lines around the mount, the brake fluid reservoir is above the mount
is that the front motor mount?
+Crystal Hinojosa No, this is the transmission side motor mount..
Ooh okay yeah that's the one I needed

Link doesn't work anymore. :( Got a new one? I can search online but it won't be an affiliated link.
@@psilver03 where you able to find a new link?
@@iamKareem. No, sorry. I kinda gave up on our Element. Not fuel efficient anymore so any work is minimized to basic maintenance if possible.
