Its inly a 3 month wait for RAV4’s right now. I decided on the Corolla Cross (11 month wait) and ordered one yesterday and they told me 3 months for the RAV4 with any model.
You should put "Hybrid" in the title. I did not know that RAV-4 Hybrid was available as FWD. Also, two crossovers and no off-road test, even a mild one?
I stopped watching when you were testing the top spec awd corolla cross and a mid tier 2wd Rav4? should have been either mid tier with same drive train, or top spec with same drive train. not a fair comparison.
Thank you for a great video in comparing these vehicles. Appreciate the helpful, knowledgeable and interesting facts which will help us make a more informed decision.
Drove a rental Cross today from Newcastle to Lismore - great little car. Effortless on the motorway, handled some rough secondary roads well too. Surprisingly good. Even the CVT was bearable.
I have a brand new rav4 cruiser, you complain about the reverse camera but in the new releases or higher models it has the 360 view camera, you also didn’t mention the fact the higher models come with sunroofs. Such a cynical view of a pretty good car. Both cars are good options depending on peoples budgets and needs.
They are a great little car, mine is 6 months old 6500kms, love driving it, can't fault it mechanically, shame about the paint tho' already flaking off the rear spoiler.
Thanks for the video, love Rav4, how cool is that Toyota Cross, first time I saw it very nice feature, it is a complex decision Wich one to pick both amazing.
True but the Toyota can tow and has a spare tyre. If the Honda HRV hybrid had these feature we would have bought one. In Australia at least the HRV hybrid does not. So we are buying a Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid. I’m not totally happy about this as the HRV was so beautiful and perfect. I wish we could have bought it but unfortunately Australia when driving in the country not having a spare tyre is really risky. Also being able to tow a small trailer opens up a lot of options if you have a farm.
I own two cars, both from different manufacturers and the screens do not sit up like after DIY afterthought and both are easier to use and read than the tablet format because they are both angled at close to 90 degrees to my eye scan angle. I’ve been driving renters for the past 3 weeks both with tablet style screens and both harder to use due to viewing angle
@@stuartferguson7947 you're describing your personal preference, not ergonomics from a design standpoint. Higher screens are safer before they're closer to your field of view when looking at the road ahead. It's as simple as that.

What a cynical marketing exercise. Can’t wait 2 years for a RAV4 ? No worries, go buy a Cross, they only have a few months wait! How about the world’s largest car company works out how to make more cars and maybe put some effort into the interior design?

funny here in Canada back in november 2023 pre-order corolla 2024 cross hybrid se was 2 to 2 years and half then 2024 rav4 hybrid 6/12 months i am having my rav4 xle hybrid premium end of june. no going back being 6 feet3 men the rav4 was a no brainer and a wopping 3500$ more then the corolla cross is not so much more for so much more the package in rav4 will be.
@@davidnguyen9409 The only complaint was the CVT transmission. No more CVT issues. 2023 onwards Nissan uses a chain-driven CVT, as does Subaru. The interior is extremely luxurious, and the car drives very smoothly.
If you are right then It is only one year Nissan changed the Cvt to chain type. Still have to prove it self and given the decade old horrendous record of nissan transmission I can't trust it.
@@Barry-26 because the new-gen C-HR only just came out and probably wasn't available for filming yet and there's no point in doing it with the outgoing C-HR. Also, the Corolla Cross is more similar in size to the RAV4, so makes sense more people would be cross-shopping between these two.
the comparison here is because the rav4 wait time is soooo looong that the corolla cross with its slightly raised body could an alternative while still staying with a toyota.
Poor review, you failed to mention what badge the Corolla Cross is? GX GXL or Atmos? fwd or AWD? 1:02 you failed to mention the market leader the Mazda CX-5 as the competitor the outlander and shortage are shit cars.
Please do more of these comparisons. I enjoyed this one.
The table shows that the RAV4 has 360 camera
I think only top trim got 360

Luv this type of comparison reviews. Thank you.
Thanks for this comparison, was looking for an Australian version for a long time.
2 years to wait for a Rav4 is ridiculous
In Italy i have to wait 3-5 months! I have ordered my 20 dicember
How? I live in a 3rd world country and the local dealership has tons of RAV4 in inventory 😂
it's a tactic to sell that car without any discounts.
Components supply has normalized 12 months ago.
We have to wait in Australia. The plus side it gives us time to save up to buy the car with cash.

RAV4 is the way forward
Unless you want a RAV4 that’s a bit smaller like they used to be.
I don't really like it. Feels a bit sluggish in comparison with the CC. Due to added kg and not so powerful engine feels like a snail.
I stopped watching when you were testing the top spec awd corolla cross and a mid tier 2wd Rav4? should have been either mid tier with same drive train, or top spec with same drive train. not a fair comparison.
It is a fair comparison because it's also a huge $ difference. Mid tier AWD CC doesn't come close to the base RAV 4 (at least here in Europe).
Corolla Cross should be known as Sprinter Carib (Corolla 4WD Wagon)
Thank you for a great video in comparing these vehicles. Appreciate the helpful, knowledgeable and interesting facts which will help us make a more informed decision.
Great video, especially the visual side by side comparisons. Nice and easy to understand.
Reliable, cheap to fix and maintain. Toyota l = less stress and peace of mind.
In 2 years time, when the car shows up.😆
Once upon a time🤭!.

Coz i think all interface almost same but pricing its too far
Nice but not a fan of the centre screen design so many makers are using, it looks like an after thought added by a backyard DIY guy.
I’ve got a Yaris Cross. I get your point but the centre screen is in a good spot for viewing and access. So, practicality over aesthetics…
It's for viewing angles so you don't take your eyes off the road.

No way non-hybrid cars have under 5L/100km consumption. Just used Rav4 for 1000km highway trip. Average was 7.8L/100km
Your driving matters, just about light throttling and an avg speed of 60-65 mph might get you closer to 5l/km
Hybrids are less efficient if you're doing a lot of highway driving. They use the frequent braking in city driving to recapture energy
