It WOULD be criminal if, say, TH-cam were shadow-banning her. I think it's just that (a) this content is only for a niche audience and (b) it takes time for people to be aware of its existence. Let people know: via facebook, twitter, word-of-mouth, etc. I discovered this channel by sheer chance. Another thing: likes and subscriptions count way more than views. I someone watches for a few seconds and moves on then a view is still registered.

I have spent a lifetime looking at ways to heal childhood trauma, and found many useful things, but this has to be one of the best so far and I wasn't even looking for it, it just came up on TH-cam. I find it honest, straightforward, kind, empathic, sensitive and most importantly "do-able" and I intend to do just that. I am very grateful. Thank you.

After doing this exercise for the very first time, I slept all the way through the night (which doesn't happen for me)! I had dreams, I went into the deep levels of sleep! And I woke up feeling not immediately afraid or anxious which is usually how I wake up each and every morning! :') I feel so ready to live life today this is so unreal to me. I practiced this right before I fell asleep and I feel so present this morning and able to identify and separate harmful beliefs and counter them with correct thoughts!! I've never felt happier :')

My mind loves to drift around to different thoughts and ideas. Kinda like day dreaming. And I keep saying “thisss……thiss…..” and I just kinda wander. It’s nice wandering.
I’m always giving up on meditation because I get so overwhelmed with trying to “stop” the wandering. And the perfectionist in me says, “gosh, you can’t do this. Just give up.” So I do.
But the wandering feels good and then “thisss….. thissss…” and I’m picturing the sounds swirling around.

I’ve been able to continue this exercise for a few weeks even though I apparently suck at it. My mind usually wonders to my limmerebt object, and my mantra starts getting replaced by the voice of my saboteurs. Recently, I had a full-blown anxiety attack mid-practice. I tell myself if I can just get a few seconds of inner quiet, and increase it by a second or two each time, just maybe I can reach the point of being able to meditate successfully for the full 20 minutes. One thing I have noticed which seems to suggest it is working is, I get less cravings for unhealthy habits. I’ve been snacking on filler foods all day but just now when I did the meditation, I immediately felt like having a healthy beet and veggie shake. So that’s an encouragement 🙂. If you are struggling to make this work for you, don’t give up!

This was wonderful. I also listened to your video on "hurrying". Wow, thank you for that connection. I'm always feeling rushed and doing a crappy job on everything I do and it's exhausting. Hurrying causes more hurrying. If I go "slow", I'm afraid of looking dumb or old, which brings up a lot of feelings of unworthiness (from childhood of course). I work with a lot of young people, and they get things so much faster than me. Quite the vicious cycle, but now I'm aware of it thanks to you. Thank you.

I’ve been doing the Daily Practice and Meditation for a few weeks now and didn’t have the right mindset going in because of my severe ADHD. The writing part is so soothing to complete now. Getting all that crap out of my head feels like freedom. Meditation was challenging because my brain broke the off switch! I kept at it and this morning made it for a full ten minutes( I actually dozed off)!😁 What a peaceful time just for me to have a physical & mental vacation without guilt or shame. Being present during meditation is tough but don’t give up. Learn to enjoy hanging out with yourself!!!
I notice my days are more structured with fewer cycling thoughts. We charge all phones and tablets. Think of this as plugging yourself into the wall and you’re waiting for that fully charged to appear! We can learn to self soothe and be happy in it!

Thank you very much. I've tried a few times to meditate for a month with other methods but I couldn't relax or understand what meditation was really about. This method was really helpful and easy to put in practice. After 5 days I already felt calmer and could do things I normally avoid without even thinking about it, I also could see the difference in my dog, she always mirror my moods and she was calmer than ever. I allways thought meditation is an spiritual practice and couldn't grasp as an skeptical and practical person what it could do for me. Now I get it: meditation is training for your brain to learn actively to calm down and focus. Again, thank you.

You know, I don't quite have CPTSD exactly, but I've been binge watching your videos, the ones that I felt might be relevant to me, for over 2 hours now. You're really amazing. You seem like such a kind, compassionate, genuinely caring human who truly wants the best for the people she is trying to reach, and you share many insights that speak deeply to my soul, some of which are reframing things I know and some of which are new and very helpful to me despite many years I've spent in a very profound healing and growth process. It kind of feels like having a heart to heart with a close and very wise friend, or a "good" mom. I just wanted to say I salute your tenacity over these many years of healing, and, as I'm sure you already know, it's very clear to me even as a stranger that with CCF (and wow, WHAT a brilliant name!) you are truly fulfilling your life mission and purpose (at least, part of it), and that with an uncommon excellence and heart. What a beautiful thing to witness, and to receive. Thank you. I just wanted you to know, it is seen. As with all who pursue their true calling, I strongly suspect the work you are doing is having lifechanging ripples in many, many peoples' lives, people you'll never hear of or meet, in ways you'll never know until that final curtain call...and then wow, what a final gift that will be for you to see!! And I know, as all who labour in a sacred way, you are working as part of a team of beings who walk alongside you, assisting, supporting, and loving - because neither they nor we can do it without this mutual togetherness. May these truths warm and bring a glow to your darkest nights, past and future. Many blessings dear soul!

I noticed that the more dis-regulated my brain is, the loooonger this meditation feels... the more centered I am the more quick it feels. Same meditation with same length and yet, very different perception. This reminds me of the dangerous situations I lived through: everything went into slow motion... I can write a 2 hours story for a second event... this proves to me the high jacking of our amygdala, when we are triggered, hence the need to do your meditation twice a day for sure..,

    • @CrappyChildhoodFairy
      @CrappyChildhoodFairy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Yes, perception for sure changes based on our dysregulation. but the twice a day really does magic on our brains!

I'm sure I'll improve with practice . I love your calm approach to every video... I love your honesty you make me hold my interest ...this has been a long time coming . Bless you X

You are giving me the will to keep living. I grew up in a violent and alcoholic family. Depression, attempted suicide. I have lived alond and avoided dating for 30 years. I came across your presentations by chance in a limerence downward spiral. My family is cold and hard. They don't want to deal with me anymore. They just say I am the crazy sister.

This is my favorite meditation- thank you so much for this! Beforehand, I do a 4/7/8 breathing and then a progressive relaxation exercise. It gets my body in a parasympathetic state and helps me really relax. The combo of my c-ptsd and my chronic Lyme disease symptoms felt like a life sentence, but doing this practice enables me to function. Truly, so thankful.

    Hi Anna
Thank you for this video abt meditation.
I do have a meditation practice that focuses on mindfulness. I found this vedic meditation very helpful because when my mind started to wander the word 'this' brought me back to focusing on the here and now and my breath. Its definitely, something i will include everyday.
    Thank you.

Thank you Anna. I’ve never meditated before and it was so amazing. Ive tried but it didn’t really work in the past.
This time I felt my whole being relax from my brain to my toes and even my gut (which is usually tied up in knots!).
At the end, I got tears in my eyes because I realized I didn’t feel frantic, I felt an overall calm.
It may not always work this well for me, but I’m grateful to know it’s possible.

I practice standing meditation in the morning where you just sort of go NO- MIND. And in the evening i sit with head phone in a bineral beat 30 min session. This meditation is no joke. It really brings up alot of repressed stuff. I find standing meditation to be very good at clearing out and releasing blocked and stagnant energy. I will try using the one word montra and see if there is added benefit. Great video. Thank you.

Feel like I've lost myself totally. Using the word "release" and the beautiful music really helped...I desperately want to reconnect...but only with what's good, nourishing and will help me grow...I don't know how to start again or how to get out of my situation, it's making me feel too trapped...thank you for all you do xx
