The one thing the Metal Zone does really well is, when set right, nails the Dime tone

@@dimebag205 the trick is to basically keep the EQ as close to noon as possible, if you're gonna boost or cut, go very light on it. Crank the level, don't turn the gain up too high
This reminds me that Kirk Widenstein and the Acid Bath guys keep theirs with Distortion at 0, Level at 100 and the EQ knobs right in the middle.
The metal zone has capabilities of a parametric eq, and also can be used as a pretty powerful boost. ❤

Dude, I recommend buying yourself a Hercules guitar stand for that type of guitar...locks the neck & it's floating, so you can adjust it to size. Don't fuck up that killer axe!

Tristen Oberlender the parametric EQ is always on, delay is for solos, flanger is for certain songs. Really the only one for cleans is the chorus

I got it sounding better in front of the amp and dialed it in decently close in my opinion. However I haven’t used it in a decently long time as a friend sold me a 126 at a great price. You can get close to the Hellbound flanger with this Boss one. And the doubling effect really isn’t apart of the core dime tone

It’s the PE-15, the SP-15 was an earlier and I believe similar model

travis hartwig not really a “Dimebag “ setting, as with this rig I’m just using it for feedback and to get enough gain for leads so that the gate doesn’t chop off notes. But both Drive & Level are at 1 O’Clock, and the tone I like to have around 10

(Besides the guitars) probably the most expensive thing in that rig was the power supply, or the CE-2. And the 100es was my very first head so lol

Tristen Oberlender I believe at that point he was using the Warheads for clean, probably using a built in Chorus effect on them. If not than a Boss CE-2 could definitely pull off that tone

H_exterm it is an overdrive, but I’m using it to be able to hold notes and make harmonics jump out better/longer. Which having more output/gain from an OD let’s you do if you set it a certain way

I think I’m running it in the loop here, but I’ve since changed to running it in front. It’s much easier to dial in
