Just want to say, this is indeed a paid promotion - but a rare one. I reject most all of the stuff i get in my inbox. I only agreed to do this paid promo after i independently verified that these pedals were fkin legit as hell. 🤙
Integrity, Kalya, it's something you possess in spades. Being picky as to who and what you allow to sponsor you on this channel speaks volumes about you as a human, don't change!
That’s a kickass set up! Thanks for sharing. I’m getting back into playing guitar after about… 15 years or so. Starting to piece stuff together. Dime was and will always be my favorite guitarist. You got that tone down!
Looking all innocent why being totally ready to melt faces has to feel pretty badass. That tone would've made brother dime proud great stuff. keep shredding!
Thank you for this. I would of like to seen what the pedal can do before loading IR's into it, but that is ok. I got to say, you are awesome. You have nailed DIme's style and tone and mojo down to science. Have a great day and keep on smiling.😊😊🤘🤘😊😊
This is the absolute most spot on dime feel I’ve ever heard in a video, literally blew my mind. Can you make a video about your guitar routine or excercices that helped you get to where you are now? Absolutely incredible 🤘
I just swapped a 535q crybaby and $50 for an old school Dime camo wah, it's very cool. I have Ola's I.R. that he done for Dime, it's great, worth a few dollars for sure. Thanks for the great content. 🤘🏻
I should know by now that every time I drop by this channel, Kayla is going to melt my face off! I really appreciate your honest reviews and the Kayla-esque humor.
I never really chased dime's sound growing up but I got a preset and impulse on my FM3 that nails it down to a pitch shift for his tuning. It makes playing covers so much more fun
I have an FM3 as well! I've been looking for a good dime tone. Is there any way you would share the preset? Im not too technical with trying to create them myself
I have to admit that if I wasn’t mature, I would really be butt hurt and intimidated by your skill level, you inspire me to go back and get it right! One more thing, the expression on your face was like “ this shyt is actually boring” lol! Salute
I luckily held on to that hole setup. The amp is not great, but the cab is awesome. I bought 2nd of those cabs when I got my first Marshall jcm 900. The 800 was still expensive mainly because nobody liked the 900, but to me, it said Marshall, so good enough for me.
I'm very interested in this gear. I enjoyed your review. Could you do another where you go deeper into settings and how knobs respond, etc? Also, while it does seem to expand the sound, could we hear the pedal without the flange? It's a bit heavy on the colorization. I do like your content and would like to see more of this particular gear. Keep up the good work!
I had a Randall RG100 in 2003/2004. Back then that head cost me $299 brand new from Guitar Center. I ran it with a Weeping Demon and Bad Horsie 2 Wah, MXR 10 band EQ, and some delay pedal I cant remember. My guitar was a 1982 Ibanez Iceman from Japan with EMG 81/85, Kramer "Rhoads Style" V with same pickups, Dean ML with Dimebucker, and Dean Cadillac (with a Floyd Rose!) with a George Lynch Screaming Demon + Pearly Gates pickup set. I had the best tone in my high-school 😅 Boy have times changed as far as my setup goes.
Hi Kayla! Nothing but respect for you. Do you ever consider touring, doing live events, etc? As an old Pantera fan you are talented as hell and it would be great to see your chops live. You really capture the feel. Cheers and happy shredding.
Easy Dimebag tone: guitar with Bill Lawrence L500XL > Solid State Amp (a good one). This pedal will probably help further shape that tone. His tone was so unique.
this is amazing, well done! The first of your videos that I have seen but you have a new subscriber! Also I beleive it is safe to say Ola would be proud!
oh cool, i just got their eqfh pro in the mail yesterday and its awesome. its incredibly loud, which i didnt realize until i flipped the hi switch out of curiosity and blasted my eardrums out lol. great stuff. (edit: that led is bright as hell lol. great if you need a flashlight and all you have is your pedalboard)
I see I am not the only one who thought that Kayla looked a lot like Hot Velma shredding in this video !! 👍🏻👍🏻 As always ... Thanks for sharing , Kayla !! You are a BADASS !!!
just sounds like a phaser to me. Not trying to be a Debbie downer but, his rig was pretty simple to begin with. It does sound good, though this vulgar pedal. Companies are going to suck the life out of his tone trying to mimic it and they never succeed. Nothing compares to a Furman eq. You are an incredible guitar player Kayla! I envy you thats for sure;)
Nice playing as always. But as far as the pedal goes. I doubt I’d use it much. Dime is the reason I picked a guitar up, and I love his sound, but I think I’d probably end up fiddling with it for a bit and then going back to my sound. I can play pantera with my sound. Very cool though.
True, but these days it’s about getting people to shows and having ‘known’ players does that. It’s like Sammy Hagar getting Joe Satriani to do the EVH stuff. Doesn’t make sense when their are players out their that NAIL EVH.
Damn this really makes me want to pick one up, that sounded shreddy AF!! @KaylaKent if it's possible do you think you could do a video going over your digital setup (software you use, effects/pedals, how you set it up, etc)? I want to get more into the digital age but I know almost nothing about how to do it. You don't necessarily have to explain every single detail, but maybe some general thoughts and approach about what you do, and maybe some links to good introductory information on how to get started. Thanks! \m/
Damn...that is as close as i would ever need to get to Dimes tone to be more than satsisfied...unlimited fun if i could learn to play a little more like him. Maybe just me doin 45 minutes of squeels!!. Gonna have to get me one
I absolutely love your tone and your videos. Question - I see you use a behringer equalizer. As a fellow guitar player, I’d like to know - why would one use an equalizer over let’s say a compressor pedal? Thanks. 🤘🎸
Hey Kayla. I love your videos! You are an amazing player! To be honest I like the way you play better than Zak Wylde (can I say that?). Phil should have picked you!!! I have a question for you. I used to play more years ago, but I would like to start play again and get serious about shredding. I didn't know much about gear back then and still don't. I'm learning a lot from your review vids. I want to get some decent gear but I will probably play in my condo with some headphones. In terms of pedals, do you think a wah pedal and the vulgar pedal is enough to get started? I would love to hear your recommendations! Keep rocking, you are amazing - Bri from Canada ❤
Thank you for the demonstration of your guitar skills and not putting the focus to breasts as ALL OTHER FEMALES doing these videos feels is the only way to get views. ROCK ON and keep up the awesome job :)
I would totally fanboy over this girl. The ending music was a nice touch, dire dire docks. Need a chick who loves Dimebag like you to play guitar with and put on my street glide
Well you make me want this pedal. But i know i can't pull of all that you do. You are perfect. Awesome guitarist. I watch your videos religiously. You can play dime bags shit spot on. Now i want to hear your originala. Even if its on thevfly noodling. 🤟you rock.
it does sound pretty close. i think dime's tone is hard to find cuz i think he used like 2 different distortion pedals and then used a compressor gate to get rid of any ringing or white noise during pauses. that's what i heard anyway, i think it was zakk wylde who mentioned it in an interview. apparently van halen did the same thing. but besides that it's all in the fingers, and you happen to have a very similar style to dimes anyway
Just want to say, this is indeed a paid promotion - but a rare one. I reject most all of the stuff i get in my inbox. I only agreed to do this paid promo after i independently verified that these pedals were fkin legit as hell. 🤙
Keep doin what you go girl! No shit… That guy that drops the mic in the tuba is from my hometown news! Cory! Too funny! 🤘🏼
Thank you for the honesty
Killed it!
Paid Shmaid, this sounds legit AF lol. I want one :D
Integrity, Kalya, it's something you possess in spades. Being picky as to who and what you allow to sponsor you on this channel speaks volumes about you as a human, don't change!
Paid promos are totally fine if you legit like the gear you're promoting! Nice work
HELL YEAH! Sounds friggin great
thanks ola :)
supp ola
Dude send her an X, she definitely deserves it.
It's really awesome!
Did my comment get deleted, I will say again, Ola send the girl one of the X shapes, she deserves it.
I really enjoy listening to you play. You put your own nuances into the solos and make them more your own.
Velma can SHRED!!!
I need some ice for my melted face.
Zoinks Scoob 😂😂Thats perfect🐕
And Daphne's a hater.
The world needs dimebag in a box. Its difficult to nail his solid state high gain tone without guidance.
Thanks for any direction!
hello Kayla I am here to remind you that you were among the choices of possible guitar players for Pantera, have a good one
They should have chose her, honestly
@@Vivi_9what do you mean don’t be absurd, she’s awesome.
If she's invited to Pantera she needs to jump on it!
I second that @@jessehutchings
The Mario 64 "Dire Dire Docks" track at the end! 😍😍😍
That’s a kickass set up! Thanks for sharing. I’m getting back into playing guitar after about… 15 years or so. Starting to piece stuff together. Dime was and will always be my favorite guitarist. You got that tone down!
Came here for Dime, stayed for Kaylas awesome playing!
Looking all innocent why being totally ready to melt faces has to feel pretty badass. That tone would've made brother dime proud great stuff. keep shredding!
Thanks for demoing, I love pedals that emulate a specific tone. I have the Sabra Cadabra pedal, which is a blast jamming Sabbath
I also have the Sabbra Cadabra. It is very genuine sounding indeed!
Your voice is so soothing
Thank you for this. I would of like to seen what the pedal can do before loading IR's into it, but that is ok. I got to say, you are awesome. You have nailed DIme's style and tone and mojo down to science. Have a great day and keep on smiling.😊😊🤘🤘😊😊
Sounds fantastic. Actually amazing. Great review Kayla.
Dang, that does sound like Dimebag. Great playing!
Same here. She totally nailed it. Amazing!
Damn, your dime riffs are next level!
Rad. Next step is to hire Grady to be there and do all the behind the scenes work as well.
The Animal Crossing music is cracking me up! xD
Anyway, uh, that tone works super well with the 1:40 A New Level Solo (for my ears anyway).
I have to look that up animal Crossing heard the music before
This is the absolute most spot on dime feel I’ve ever heard in a video, literally blew my mind. Can you make a video about your guitar routine or excercices that helped you get to where you are now? Absolutely incredible 🤘
youre so good. i always gotta jam the song after your vids.
I just swapped a 535q crybaby and $50 for an old school Dime camo wah, it's very cool. I have Ola's I.R. that he done for Dime, it's great, worth a few dollars for sure.

Glenn Fricker would be delighted that you found the tone in the impulse response.
Dude that new level solo was absolute fire.
The intro solo is the sickest Dimebag solo Ive heard so far. Im not a Dimebag fan, so I know Im missing a lot of his solos.
that was the solo from this love from vulgar display of power. lots of great lead work on that song
Your not missing much.
I have to admit that if I wasn’t mature, I would really be butt hurt and intimidated by your skill level, you inspire me to go back and get it right! One more thing, the expression on your face was like “ this shyt is actually boring” lol! Salute
Nice work! Love it when you shred the Dime stuff.
Niiiice
I love the way the channel is going !!
Humour, nerdy things and metal AF !!
Great job!
I luckily held on to that hole setup. The amp is not great, but the cab is awesome. I bought 2nd of those cabs when I got my first Marshall jcm 900. The 800 was still expensive mainly because nobody liked the 900, but to me, it said Marshall, so good enough for me.
I respect that you were honest about it being paid and wouldn't do it until you tried it. That's how all of that shit should be. Keep being legit.

Finally someone other than Jake E Lee that understands the correct angle to place your neck single coil pickup
OMG...........YOUR TALENT IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

really gives the dime effect sick pedal!!!
Analog is allways best! Im glad that you are trying this preamp!
Easy Dimebag tone: guitar with Bill Lawrence L500XL > Solid State Amp (a good one). This pedal will probably help further shape that tone. His tone was so unique.
Damn!! That this love solo sounds phenomenal!!
Cool!! I'm glad that you got to try it out and got dime's sound!! Keep shredding!!! I only wish I could do the crazy guitar stuff you do...
if zakk ever needs a break or cant make it to a show Kayla or Ola would be my choices!!! so damn good!!!!
this is amazing, well done! The first of your videos that I have seen but you have a new subscriber! Also I beleive it is safe to say Ola would be proud!
Could you cover “We’ll Meet Again?” The solo or even the whole thing, totally cool song that doesn’t have a lot of covers on TH-cam.
Thank you for another killer video! Keep em coming!
Kayla you nail dimes tone every time
Master Effects rules! I just got the trinity deluxe from them which is a Mark IIc+ in a box, and it nails the tone!
Sounds awesome! You’re fantastic, and down to earth. What a great channel,
I got a carpeted RG100 and a Peavey 2x12 for $150 off marketplace.
A rightful heir for Dime's place!
That's quite an awesome pedalboard you got there.
Interesting review... great Jamz BTW... Have you ever considered multi Effects Pedals ;ike Boss GT 1000 or Kemper, Line 6, Donner Arena 2000 ?
oh cool, i just got their eqfh pro in the mail yesterday and its awesome. its incredibly loud, which i didnt realize until i flipped the hi switch out of curiosity and blasted my eardrums out lol. great stuff. (edit: that led is bright as hell lol. great if you need a flashlight and all you have is your pedalboard)
Insane playing ! give me chills !
Kills me you play his stuff so effortless
Awesome vid! That pedal is sick! Love your shredding too! Getcha pull!! 😎🎸🤘
I've watched this video four times. Unreal.
I see I am not the only one who thought that Kayla looked a lot like Hot Velma shredding in this video !! 👍🏻👍🏻 As always ... Thanks for sharing , Kayla !! You are a BADASS !!!
Ola recently talked about guitar players, that can nail Dime in Pantera. He should add you to the list.
just sounds like a phaser to me.
Turn it up, it’ll sound even better
Nice playing as always. But as far as the pedal goes. I doubt I’d use it much. Dime is the reason I picked a guitar up, and I love his sound, but I think I’d probably end up fiddling with it for a bit and then going back to my sound. I can play pantera with my sound. Very cool though.
wow, I own the dime-strortion pedal, and this thing sounds so much closer to his tones.
I wish they would have picked you for the Pantera tour instead of Zak Wylde! 😂

Absolutely Smoking Kayla! Really like the sound of that pedal.
Awesome review. And great video, Kayla. “Rawdog the Vulgar pedal.” About fell over laughing.
Hey Kayla. I love your videos! You are an amazing player! To be honest I like the way you play better than Zak Wylde (can I say that?). Phil should have picked you!!! I have a question for you. Kayla, you just rock. Full stop. Keep growing ❤
I do like the sound of that Tuba
I don’t care if this is a paid promotion. It worked. I need a dime in the box now.
f'n savage take on that solo
Thank you for the demonstration of your guitar skills and not putting the focus to breasts as ALL OTHER FEMALES doing these videos feels is the only way to get views. ROCK ON and keep up the awesome job :)
The Audio Assault Randell R412JT Cab Pack has Randall JAguars too. For 5 bucks is a steal.
You have one of the meanest shreds there are today
Cool video! Sweet Johnson head off to the side.
Is that an ankle monitor there!?
….really bro? i hurt my ankle months ago. thats a brace.
Impressive to say the least! Keep on shredding!
Another awesome video! Have you ever considered doing tutorials/lessons on Pantera songs?
Love the Super Mario song in the background
Sick chops Kayla! 🤘
Great Shreddin Kayla
That is FIRE...
you can shred !!! good stuff
Killer Content!! 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
I would totally fanboy over this girl. The ending music was a nice touch, dire dire docks. Need a chick who loves Dimebag like you to play guitar with and put on my street glide

I watch your videos religiously. You can play dime bags shit spot on. Now i want to hear your originala. Even if its on thevfly noodling. 🤟you rock.
You definitely can play 💪🔥💯🎸🔥🔥🔥🤟🤟🤟
The mxr full bore metal will rock your sox off, too me its another dime in a box. The controls look almost identical as the vulgar pedal.
it does sound pretty close. i think dime's tone is hard to find cuz i think he used like 2 different distortion pedals and then used a compressor gate to get rid of any ringing or white noise during pauses. that's what i heard anyway, i think it was zakk wylde who mentioned it in an interview. apparently van halen did the same thing. but besides that it's all in the fingers, and you happen to have a very similar style to dimes anyway
