  • Hi fellow dog lover!🐶 My dog Billie had so many behavior problems… she was jumping, peeing inappropriately, overly aggressive, pulling on the leash… she was just crazy…🤪 Then I found this one solution that stopped all the problems!🙌 The sad fact was…The training I first tried with my dog was a complete fai...lure.😔 I went through the average cookie-cutter training programs. These programs used outdated and ‘mean’ dominance techniques. It turns out those programs had no qualifications and were developed by complete phonies.😱 So this is what I did to stop my dog’s behavior problems... In a few simple words… I discovered my dog’s hidden intelligence!🧠
    Let me explain… In my years as a dog owner…this is the one big lesson I have learned. More intelligent dogs are better behaved.👍 A more intelligent dog takes commands easier…and understands what you need from them. What I found out was… No matter how clever I thought my dog was. I could still unlock my dog’s hidden intelligence quickly and easily!😄 Don’t waste a second longer putting up with your dog's behavior problem! I’ll explain everything you need to know in the link!😁

    Shiba Inu Dogs 101 - Small Dog Big Attitude
    The most astonishing highlights of this dog are its prick ears, curly tail, thick coat, and squinty eyes. Honestly, these cause a dilemma among people: is it a fox, is it a bear, or a stuffed toy? It's neither! So, what is it? I'll give you a hint.
    This is the smallest and one of the ancient breeds that originated in Japan. It is the Shiba Inu. Despite its size, this dog was initially bred for flushing birds and hunting wild boars. Who would have known that this small creature would be equipped with such agility, prey drive, and intelligence to hunt for its handlers? But these are not the only reasons why people clamor over this breed.
    Today, let's look into one of the cutest and most ancient dogs - the Shiba Inu. How will you know if you're a suitable fur parent for this breed? Tune in to find out.

    My shiba inu tricked me outside knowing once I light a cigarette I will finish it. So we went outside because she wanted to but she wanted back in once I lit it, then went inside and ate my beef jerky while I smoked..... she has done it twice.

    My shiba Inu came from a Amish family that left it outside in a cage with his siblings and mom for most of its 8 week life. He didn’t know how to react to the toys we got him, but after patience and lots of playtime outside. He is the best decision I have ever made.

    My two shibas are the greatest, only command they know is run to the garage door if I jingle my car keys. It took them less than 10 minutes to learn they run the house lol. But even though you can't really train them easily they are not bad dogs, just independent and super intelligent.

      I know this commwnt is old but do you think they're similar in handfulness Huskies? Cause I adopted a dog from a shelter a couple years ago and the shelter said he was a husky but he doesn't look anything like a husky except his eyebrow dots and his "eyeliner" and hardly acts like a husky too. But his coloring is almost exactly like a shiba but he's taller

    We chose a Shiba Inu for my 9-year-old grandaughter and they are absolutely devoted to each other. We walk her to school every morning and Foxy (the dog) insists on acompanying her, mostly I think for the attention she gets from the other kids who love her too. She also comes to meet her from school, except when it's raining! Yes. Foxy can be boisterous but so can Lucy so they make a pretty good match! I'd recommend the breed to anyone but make sure any little ones understand that they should not play rough because a Shiba will nip if the warnings they give are ignored.

    We have a blend of Shia inu and German Shepard and the Shiba inu are prone to glaucoma. Our dog had to have her eyes removed because of her glaucoma issues! 🥲🥲🥲. The rest of the information was true! Our babe has never had the negative behavior traits described.
    We love our girl, she is the sweetest puppy we’ve ever owned! She’ll be 14 nov 1st!
    Btw she’s developed dog Parkinson’s, my husband has just been diagnosed as well. They say it’s sympathy issues…😩. Love her all the same. She’s never been simple but very very special to us! God bless the shiba Inu and German Shepard!
    Her best friend is her kitten!

    Love my little shiba.. well not little he is 35 pounds, I adopted him just over a month ago. He had a rough 7.5 years before i adopted him he was lost/abandoned then adopted only to be returned a year later for severe ear infections. The vet checked him out and couldn't find any sign past or present ear issues with him. They are great dogs though like the video states they can be stubborn to the point its commical.

    • @jcoghill2
      @jcoghill2 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's weird. Makes you wonder if it wasn't the people with ear infections. Or more than likely it was an invented answer to the question, "Why do you want to return this dog?" See this way the dog isn't at fault and he's still highly adoptable. I don't think there is a behavioral problem with being comically stubborn as long as I'm left with a laugh. If it gets to the point you have to pick them up so be it. Eventually they will get the idea that it doesn't matter what they want, things are going down your way and they might as well give up.

    Shibas are brilliant but very, very difficult to those used to a dog who will obey them unquestionably. They have a HIGH prey drive--mine killed rats and squirrels left and right when we went to the park--and are escape artists who will not hesitate to dive through an open window. They tend to be destructive unless kept entertained.

    I call them shiba-ken. Ken means also dogs in another way (onyomi) to pronounce in Japanese. There are shiba-kens with different colors: brush (shiba) color, which is most common, white, black and goma: it literally means sesami seed color, which is mixed with black, red and brown. Goma shibas look like coyotes and they are so rare to find or more expensive to purchase. if the color of goma is more reddish, then it's called akagoma (red goma). if it is blackish goma, then it's called kurogoma (black goma). Mame-shiba means tiny shiba ken: however, it is not an actual breed. Mame shiba is just smaller shiba-ken.

    I have had 2 Sheba and I would never have any another breed. Very easy to train when you discover they are really training you. Both have a schedule that they do not deviate from. Treats are giving on a mat. When they want one 3x/ day, they sit on the mat and I know it's treat time. Morning routine they have trained me to meet their needs first and I'm free to go about my day uninterrupted. They have certain places in the house that they claim and that where they can be found when you need them. They don't roam the house looking for entertainment. Very obedient, off leash walkers, they sit and wait for me to catch up (rarely walk them of leash). Not chasers, very focused on walks, not distracted by others. Never have have to worry about accidents no matter how long I've been away. This is perfect dog if you can unlearn any other dog training rules youve learned in the past.

    I see many Akita-inu pictures used mistakenly as Shiba-inu. I also find several Japanese words were mistranslated. Check twice.
    I am an owner of a fifteen-year-old Shiba-inu. Actually he was very stubborn and had too much pride when he was young. I remember I had a quite difficult time to tame, since he hated "to be ordered" and even he felt I'm trying to pick a fight with him. So instead, I changed my attitude, "to ask him" with "keigo", talking like to your boss with respect, then he became to accept my request.
    Now he is an gentle and generous, great old dog. We trust each other from the bottom of our hearts. He shows "very sorry" attitude when he makes mistakes, and stays calm and be nice before the kids touching him blatantly. I hope he lives long happyly and healthyly beside me.

    You forgot to mention a couple things. #1. They can be quite insulant. #2. They're excitement on a walk is like trying to walk a sled dog. Not all are this way, but many are. They mean well, but even at 4 years of age, their energy and eagerness can be quite annoying. I love my Shiba, but they are definitely an attitude challenge.

    • @kuniakinakatsu7107
      @kuniakinakatsu7107 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The cost of keeping a Shiba Inu is not that different from that of similarly sized dog breeds. Of course, the amount varies greatly depending on the person who keeps it, but I don't think it needs to be particularly large compared to other breeds.

    • @kuniakinakatsu7107

      We also have a Shiba Inu (4 year old male). We spend about $100 a month on food (mostly treats), $70 a year on rabies vaccinations, a few dozen dollars on mixed vaccines, and almost $300 on filarial preventatives. I'm making this on a translation site, so my English may not be accurate.

    • @georgemorrisey7146

      They typically don't eat too much, maybe 2 cups of food all day. My shiba brings me the empty bowl and throws it on the floor until the buffet opens back up! Vet costs have been minimal for me, the cost of vaccinations and preventative medications like de-wormer

    I don’t get why people can’t be bothered to learn the proper pronunciation of a couple Japanese words. It’s not that bloody hard. No shiba owner is gonna take you seriously if you can’t pronounce the name of the breed.
    Also please fact check before posting.

    People need to understand that Shiba Inu is an aggressive dog, not saying they can't be loving, they just don't get along with other animals and that well, and they play aggressively too so I don't think socialization helps that much either.
