Hey, Scotty, a couple of weeks ago on one of your live streams I asked about a Datsun pickup that I had worked on that had a 4 cylinder with 8 spark plugs. Even though that question never made it into one of your videos (and I didn't think it would), I just wanted to thank you for answering. That has been bugging me for 30 years. Have a safe trip!

My Dad was an alignment professional for over 50 years. He was very honest and never recommended unnecessary repairs. He had three month waiting list scheduled in advance . The best ever ! Miss you Dad.

My respects to you Scotty, you never let the fame or money get to your head. You remained true to your roots, you tell us about your beginnings as a mechanic and teach us all you’ve learned over the years, and you keep your grandfather’s legacy alive by telling us all these crazy stories😅. One day when I have my own children I will tell them about you and your channel and how you were an honest mechanic who wanted to help people wherever they were. A true American 🇺🇸.

Big Smoke.. well written.. need more good Americans like Scotty.. The good old-fashioned mechanics are a dying breed. Mechanics today all they know is laptops plug-in and replace parts. They don't know the old days when you took apart a carburetor or distributor fixed it and put it back and was very happy when the car ran fantastic. I would love to work with Scotty on a car and learn so much from him. 🐻🇺🇸

My mother was born and raised in Niagara Falls. Great people are from western NY. Scotty is a great example

Wow, your mother must be very durable to have survived being born and raised in the falls. How she was raised in the falls seems outlandish though, because the water is flowing downward at an incredible rate.
I'm just teasing. It's cabin fever, and my dyslexia causes me to read things as literally as they appear even though you meant she was raised in the general area on land beside the falls. I'm sorry, it wont happen again, probably not, though maybe.

I've been watching for a little over three months and I love this dude. My father was a mechanic when he was still with us and he had a personality similar to yours Scotty. I lost him when I was 15 and turned away from what I had loved doing with my dad. 9 years later, after some other life events and some other medical issues, I have returned to things that I loved doing before. Thank you so much for helping me in maintaining and learning a lot of mechanical knowledge, Scotty. I'm looking forward to seeing many more videos. 🙌🏽🙌🏽

So what have we learnt; well, Scotty's from the devils hole, the old girl had curves, the middle-class are taking over, people have bizarre emigration methods, cocktails origins, everyones dead, seagulls in these parts have a penchant for laxatives and uncle Billy liked both flavors.
Middle-class is disappearing, sad but true. The gate between the poor and the richt people shrinks day by day.

I used to enjoy hearing my Grandma telling me the story about our family 70 years ago. Unfortunately, she passed away last year and I still have lots of questions for her. While my Grandpa is still with us, but he is reluctant to tell me any story about his early life. That is a really bad time for him during WWII.
My first father in law dropped over Normandy he was apart of the 101st trooper airborne and he told me so many stories about the war. He seen grown men’s toes fall off from the freezing cold. Just crazy stories but he never shared those stories with any of his sons. I miss him. He told me birds of the same feathers flock together. Took me a minute to understand what he meant by that and I stayed away from bad people because of it. Sorry to hear about your grandmother and I wish your grandfather would share those stories. We’re loosing a great generation . God bless all our military and we will never forget 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

My dad ran a Texaco full service station for 35 years. worked several summers helping doing mechanic work and pumping gas. Great memories.
Still got dad's old Texaco station. No longer open to the general public but like to tinker in the shop on the family cars.

You gave the impression that you were back in New York to stay. I was going to tell you that you are out of your mind considering I moved from metropolitan South Florida 3 1/2 yes ago to Tennessee.
Tennessee has been great imo. No toll roads, no income tax, most of the drivers are civil, the country roads are fun (tail of the dragon honorable mention), cost of living is cheap, gas is really cheap (presently $2.50 a gallon vs the $2.99 my sister is crying about in Pennsylvania), rarely any traffic etc. Good stuff all around 👍

@@CB-wq9wp ask away. I moved from Ft Lauderdale FL to the Chattanooga TN area about 3 1/2 years ago and I'm very pleased with the results.
When I first moved here it took about 6 months to dial my hostile and guarded big city life condition down. I'm going to assume Scotty lives up near Nashville, that's still big city imo. Nothing compared to S FL but close.
I'm 27 years old. People around my age and younger don't appreciate guys like Scotty. They helped build this country and paved the way for these spoiled iPhone toting kids.

I lived in Lewiston until I was 7. We moved a couple places and then in Niagara Falls when I was 10. Went to Niagara Falls HS and La Salle HS. Loved this video.
I also lived in Lewiston until I was five that was 70 years ago our friends would watch TV in the front window of the furniture store Howdy Doody was my favorite show.

Good for you Man, you'll be employed forever. stay honest and you'll have loyal clients forever. when I met my now wife she had a mechanic she really liked (her dad was also a mechanic) in town, he got busted in a sting by the state for dishonest business practices. My father in law told my wife " sometimes they get dishonest, they have a baby or something and need extra money".

Scotty, I'm from Stratford Ontario Canada. I used to work for SAFTRONICS Canada, we has a sister plant in Youngstown NY. I transported parts to Youngstown and crossed the border @ Lewiston many a time. When you mentioned Lewiston it brought back memories from the 80's. I'm getting old as well, but like you my mind is still shrape as a tack. Keep up the great video's, I've learned lots from them. You have a huge following in Canada. My nephew and great niece just purchased a 2015 Rav 4 for her first vehicle. I just purchased a 2008 Ranger, my first Ford and I'm going to be 60 in November. Absolutely love it.
