I have always struggled with pull-ups, barely able to do one, I will try with resistanceband and see if it helps. (Also cute dog, should definatly be your mascot :) )
I highly HIGHLY recommend the resistance bands! I'll put a link in the description in just a second. They're a super awesome way to maintain form and slowly work your way up. Now you could also do jump pull ups, australian pull ups, or inverted rows, HOWEVER, I like the bands the best because then you do the actual exercise with the same form -- not just a substitute. I tried doing this active rest between sets thing. It was making me really tired and I had to cut my workout short because I literally couldn't do any more reps. Does this happen to anyone else or do I just have shitty genetics?

Keep working your way up to it! For example, active rest for 20 of the 60 second rest. During the active rest stay very loose.

I'll do anywhere from 3 to 5 sets 🤘
