@@sdg-brawlstars1621 hello bro
ØīŲØąØ§Ø§Ø§Ø§Ø§ðŦ
I watched this video and gave it a try since I had a six day old stye that kept growing. The first night I did this, I woke up with my stye smaller and lot of crust around my eyes. I had a feeling it was the stye draining so I kept doing it. Today is the third day and Iâve noticed that this does actually work. My stye got 60%smaller in two days. I did this by washing my eye with baby shampoo then using a warm compress to soften it. When softened, I did the massages for 5 min on the area then washed my eyes again. Do this at your own risk and take precaution.
I have been using baby shampoo for some time, and after experiencing increased problems from dry eye, I went to an eye doc who told me not to use baby shampoo anymore because it is drying. I just thought I'd tell you.
Anyone else watching this video with one eye closed? ð
Lol yup. With a sock filled with hot rice sitting on it. Hoping to get rid of a chalazion.

Ive seen 4 walkin doctors 2 optometrist and 1 optomologist and got basically nowhere....i tried this simple procedure snd i feel better already.....much appreciated
happy to hear that!
When my son was little, 3 y/o, if his Dad has a headache, he would offer to give him an "eye mashage". He would use his fingertips and very gently move them in small circles on his dad's closed eyelids for about a minute. And amazingly, his dad's headache would immediately "go away" and my son would be showered with love. He's 40 now and occasionally he is asked for an eye mashage by one of use.
That's adorable
âClosed eyeâ massage? Showered with love? Have you contacted your local police department?
@@NickM92 that sounds alarming

Thank you this really works. Gently massaging the eyelids with the finger tips makes the headache go or at least decreased it. Thank you for sharing.
After trying warm compress and *months* of Restasis dry eye drops, Dr. Allenâs seven minute video on massage (which none of my providers have ever mentioned) has given my eyes a glimmer of good-feeling and relief.
Dr. Allen is a well-made man. I bet he and his staff make an eyeâĒxellent team. ð
My doctor recommended looking into this - good to know I found a valuable video.
@@CalamityJenJonesMine told me to massage and I found this video because I like to see visuals :) Glad to know my eye doctor is on the up and up lol
This is unbelievably helpful. Proper explanation and actually doing what you are teaching (others just âpretendâ to massage the eyelid). Very hepful
doing this for dry eye! Thanks for the detailed, visual tutorial!
That eye massage actually works wonders! Using for chronic allergic conjunctivitis.
Warming an area up before you massage the area always improves results. I'm glad you noticed the benefit and mentioned it. I will try this the next time I have dry eyes. Thank you for making this video sir, I was happy to learn this self-massage technique.
I have chalazion in my lower left eye lid, the doctor prescribed tobradex eye drop and Nevanac for a week, with warm eye compress, he didn't mention anything about the massage. Thanks Doctor for this video.
Thank you. Your videos are absolutely essential to us. Please donât give up on your followers. Thanks again.
I'm dealing with advanced eye dryness. Even though I went every year to my eye doctor, my problem wasn't caught early. I am now seeing an eye doctor who is treating me a lot as you are recommending but I am also picking up some very good tips from you. Thank you so very much! God Bless You.
I have extremely dry eyes to the point of tearing. The doctor told me to add this to my preventative routine.
Thank you so much. This was very helpful.
Iâm here because I just found out I have dry eye symptoms.
Iâm happy to get this detailed information.
I love this - my eyes always feel immediately "cooler" when I do this - you can feel the oil being released and it's HEAVEN!!!
Thank you!
I just used your method for an eye massage for a sty and it worked!
I have been suffering this for over a week, used prescription salve and it took your video to 'open' the sty!
God bless you! âš
Out of this 7min video I got a real solution to my dry eye problem. Better than the appointment with the eye doc who told me to use eye drops multiple times a day which only combats the symptoms not the cause. Thank you. You got yourself a subscriber.
Very useful thank you. I have been struggling to sea for the last few days and my optician said I have sticky eye. I was told to use a heat mask and to massage my eye lids, so your video is absolitely brilliant for me .Thank you
This is a great video. My wife was recently diagnosed with Meibomian Gland Dysfunction and the optometrist recommended performing this massage explained in the video. The video is excellent and provides a great narration with the hands-on massage demonstrated and explained. Thank you! This was super helpful.
Ive been doing warm compress and the lid massage Ã2 a day morning/night to help maintain my Blepharitis to minimise a flare up and to help unclog the oil glads. so far it seems to be helping alot!
I have blepharitis too and try to do everything right to help my symptoms but nothing comes out when I do it...
@@Alix777. Mine ended up clogging up really badly. so I found a optometrist who now does heat therapy on mine every two months she expresses the oils from my glands. I'm now down to warm compress once a day and the lid massage is no longer necessary for mine. It took almost 7months to unclog mine with the heat therapy.
And because my eyes are so sensitive every eye drop I have tried even preservative free ones burn and swell up my eyes. So I'm only able to do the heat therapy and the warm compress at home for maintenance.

Scared to do this because I'm heavy handed (might over massage) but I'm glad that I finally did it tonight. My eyeballs glide easily, no blurring of the vision too - instant relief âĨïļ. Thank you! Will do this everyday.

This has to be the best explained video for styles! I canât believe this worked in 24 hours! Just watched this yesterday, saw other peopleâs comments and gave it a try. Itâs already starting to drain. Thank you so much! I heard of doing an eyelid massage but didnât do it properly, and my eye became even more swollen- 4 days before Christmas ð. Also thanks for the heads up about pressure. I get these a lot and wasnât thinking about applying too much pressure.
The eye compress works for me and now Iâll try the massage.
Thank you very much Doctor. I wish you were in California, I would have been one of your patient, I have painful dry eyes as sometimes I get blood in the eyes. I never had my eye specialist explaining as goog as you do here. Thank you againI have learned about Hypo Chlor, I will get it right away. I am so grateful to have founf your video, You are a very good teacher.
I apologize for commenting so much but today my eyes felt their best in 6 yrs and itâs because of your videos! I learned I had dry eyes and other vision problems besides the exotropia I was being seen for from the vision therapist I demanded my ophthalmologist refer me to in 2018. Iâve spent yrs battling to be heard by optometrists and ophthalmologists. I had 20/20 or better vision until my 40s but could never see clearly with both eyes to read well and do many things people take for granted. The vision therapist said most eye doctors donât have the diagnostic tools to test patients for vision disorders like mine. I learned to cope with the Exotropia but the discomfort of dry eyes was a battle as they got increasingly worse. Only 2 days of adding the eye massage to the list made a huge difference. Thank you for all the videos!!!
This video is a public service. Well done, Dr! The lid massage method is tried and true, and if his guidelines are followed, is very safe. THANK YOU.
I have a sty. First time ever, didnât realize how painful these are. Thank you for sharing the information regarding eye lid massage. Very helpful âhow toâ as my ophthalmologist recommended me to do this after using a warm compress.
Thanks Carolyn!!! Glad you found it so useful! I hope your sty improves very soon!
Just started doing this and my eyes felt better today! Iâve tried everything! Helpful video, thanks! Hope it keeps helping!
Very helpful. My eye doctor recommended this but it really helped to see your demonstration. I believe it helps my dry eyes.
Very clear and useful information. I have a chalazion on one eye, but both the Meibomian glands on both eyes have become clogged. My new opthalmologist had me start using the Bruder mask, and instructed me to massage my eyes after using the mask. I wasn't sure if I was doing the massage correctly, and now I know that I was not! Thank you for posting this!

This was very helpful, thank you! I have chronic dry eyes due to clogged glands. My eye doctor told me to use a warm compress, massage my eyelids, and use a tree tree oil cleanser, followed by a lubricant eye drops.
Thank you for the awesome videos on eye health. Best resource on TH-cam by far
I cannot thank you enough for this video! You told me so much more about this than my own eye doctor did.
This seems like a lot of tugging on the thin skin covering the eye causing sagging of that skin.
Well, you just explained to me why glaucoma might be a future issue. Never knew this about eye pressure. Great tips!
When is that
Wish he said it at the beginning of the video as I followed the massage all the way through and only heard him say that after when I have a chazalion thatâs pressing against my eyeball on the inside
Extremely helpful, I'm treating a stye and my ophtalmologist just send me to youtube instead of demonstrating how to do it himself. For being based in Switzerland where we supposedly have the best health care system, you're surely scoring higher than my local experts, thanks!
Excellent video! I am recovering from an eye infection precipitated by a clogged oil gland that actually ruptured. My opthalmologist said to do the warm compresses twice a day during recovery, then once every other day going forward. He said it's good hygiene, just like brushing your teeth on a regular basis. He didn't say anything about the eyelid massage, but I will probably incorporate that going forward. I have been suffering with dry eyes at night since March 2020.Thanks for the demonstration!
Just wanted to say thanks for the information you provide. I try following another eyecare site and they have numerous times gone off on some outta there subject other than just eyes

Thank you Doctor. Confined to being home. Two days ago, a stye started developing in the upper right eyelid. Very puffy, red, and doing the treatments as per your videos. Can't wait until it drains and my eye looks normal again. Of course, this happens when I was supposed to do an important Zoom video-meeting. Thanks again for the information.

I wish, someone had told me about this 10 years ago. Thatâs, how long Iâve been suffering from chronic dry eye and all they ever told me, was to use eyedrops - which work for about 10 min, tops. THANK YOU ð
@Tommy Harris
Ahhh...unfortunately not. I had such high hopes.
I've looked into this some more and unfortunately, it seems, that these glands can also just stop working period, not just clog up.
But go ahead and try it...it's a valid treatment, it could very well work for you, even if it didn't for me.
Tommy Harris
Well, luckily the climate is very moderate here in Germany...we donât really have airconditioning and there are no long, severe winters, either....that makes it easier to deal with. I donât wear contact lenses anymore, obviously...I try to be consistent with applying eyedrops during daytime, because the dryness (even if bearable), can lead to damage on your cornea over time.
Unfortunately, dryness at night, has increasingly become a problem, lately. I tried wearing an eye mask, to make sure, my eyes are tightly closed during the night...didnât really help. I tried wearing swimming googles. That did actually help, but was very uncomfortable.
Now, Iâm considering, getting used to waking up every 2 or 3 hours, to apply eyedrops. Maybe in conjunction with one of those sleep cycle measuring devices, to try and not wake up during deep sleep. I mean, we almost wake up anyway, several times a night, naturally. It should be possible, to time it in a way, that doesnât impede sleep quality too much.
I just think, my eyes would feel much better overall, if they could get proper rest during the night.
Iâm also taking high dose fish oil capsules, amounting to 3000mg of fish oil or 450mg of DHA a day (in Trygliceride form), as per another of these videos. Iâm on week 4 now and itâs supposed to take 6 weeks, to take effect, if it does. I think, Iâm noticing a small improvement, but canât say for sure, yet. There have always been fluctuations with my symptoms - possibly due to hormones and stuff.
@Tommy Harris
Thanks. Just write again in a couple of weeks, if you want an update.
@@raraavis7782 I think that is my problem (stopped working) after my cataract surgery. So many help-aids were recommended. No luck. @@tmissyjeogiyomuljomjuseyo1992 Since you have extremely dry eyes, it would be best to see an eye doctor that takes a closer look into your eyes to see what else could be causing you not to be able to open your eyes due to the feeling of dryness. Something as simple as allergies can create dry eyes. Sometimes there needs to be more along with eye massage which your doctor can share with you to get the oils flowing so you can do the eye massage. I was also suggested to take Omega oils for dry eyes which have helped, again check with your eye doctor.
Iâm also gonna use this technique of eye massage. Which brand of warm compressor do you use? What actually helped you while taking treatment for dry eye. Iâm suffering since 1 year.

Glad you found the channel! I hope to have much more content around dry eyes soon! Any specific questions I can help with?
My eye doctor seemed to be very helpful throughout an examination, including a flashing LED camera that determined half my glands were 'lying down, or dead'. All seemed straightforward, but then he suggested a $1150 treatment, reduced to $795, for the express purpose of expressing my Meibomian Glands, and talked me into a medical credit card with zero interest for 9 months, then 29.5% interest on the unpaid balance after that. I employed your techniques, with the same feeling of healthy expressed eyelids, comparable to the 20 minute expression/suction machine I paid 3/4 of a grand for. I understand professional courtesy in the various industries, but as an engineer I am also used to 'second opinions'. What say you? And thank you for your well thought out, filmed and edited videos, Jon.
Hey Jon. Thanks for your amazing comment. Happy your enjoying the channel. I have had the lipiflow done myself and it is one of the only/ best treatments available for severe MGD. Eye Health QOTD: ðī What are you using warm compresses for? Dry Eyes? A stye or chalazion?
Mesenteric dysfunction, which has bothered me for a year.
My glands are totally blocked so dry eye. I also have borderline glaucoma
Would this assist in scar healing of incisions around the eye?
I think it's dry eyes? That's what the optometrist thinks, at least. I have to blink a lot, and I have major redness. It's far worse in the mornings. I'm kind of at a loss, though. Even seeing an ophthalmologist wasn't that helpful. Maybe I'm just skeptical that massages will fix my redness and over-blinking problems...
Dry eyes, and Recurrent Corneal Erosions. I do eyelid massage and drops but haven't done compress in a while.
Can you do a video on corneal erosion? Or even just regular non-recurring corneal abrasions.
I did the upper eyelids while watching rhe video. One at a time, obviously. It actually felt really good.
Thank you for this advice!
I find that putting a facial tissue over my face as I recline makes it much easier to smoothly stroke my eyelids without pulling on the skin.
Super helpful, thank you! I was told to do eyelid massage by an optometrist but his demo was 2 seconds long so I had to look it up - luckily I found your video! Also, I saw my ophthalmologist today and apparently I have viral conjunctivitis. I have MGD and dry eyes (I'm 69). Is it ok to do the warm compresses and massage with this condition or should I wait until it has cleared up? Thanks.
This was so so helpful, I have had two chalazions on my bottom right lid for almost 6 months, and I have been not touching them at all and just doing heat compresses, but it hasnât been doing much. Hopefully massaging my lids will finally get rid of them!
hows it going
Any update ?
Thanks so much for you videos and tips this is so helpful! I was diagnosed with MGD a few months ago and despite going for regular eye exams my eye dr did not catch this early. Since doing the eye compress/massage and Occu eye wash my eyes have actually become more irritated and red so not sure if I was using too much pressure. Anyway hoping your tips on how to massage the lids will help. Thanks again! Oh and side note I am a 55 yr old female who used make up and eyeliner since I was a teen.
All your videos are excellent. I never had an eye doctor tell me any important information ðâĪïļ
I would love to use an eye mask it looks great but it will probably make eyes blurry when you take it off and for me that would cause a massive anxiety attack as I worry about my eyes so much..Iâll keep to the hot cloth
I used a Qtip to squeeze my glands without the warm compress. My eye now feels like it's covered in vaseline.
Iâm going to use this on a current Stye. I also have dry eyes and eye doctor never mentioned this technique. Shame one him! :) I will be doing this. Thanks so much!
I am so frustrated! I have had Sjogren's and zero tears made for well over 20 years. WHY HAS NO DOCTOR OF MINE EVER TOLD ME ABOUT THIS??? It seems for anyone with dry eyes, this should be one thing we are told about early on! Thank GOD for the Doctor that did my exam, at America's Best in Ann Arbor, MI. She is the ONLY one who told me about using warm compresses and eyelid massage., just yesterday. I have already tried a session before bed and looking forward to using this to help preserve eye health as much as possible. After thousands of boxes of eye drops through the years, it will be awesome if this helps.
Thank you for the tutorial!
Hey i love your videos. Wonderong if you could do a video about amblyopia. Explaining what it is. It confuses me and i was hoping u could help me out
For sure! I am hoping to get a whole series on that sometime soon! Keep a lookout for it! (sorry for all the eye puns)
