    1. Perform Warm Compress to warm up the oil glands

    I watched this video and gave it a try since I had a six day old stye that kept growing. The first night I did this, I woke up with my stye smaller and lot of crust around my eyes. I had a feeling it was the stye draining so I kept doing it. Today is the third day and I’ve noticed that this does actually work. My stye got 60%smaller in two days. I did this by washing my eye with baby shampoo then using a warm compress to soften it. When softened, I did the massages for 5 min on the area then washed my eyes again. Do this at your own risk and take precaution.

    I apologize for commenting so much but today my eyes felt their best in 6 yrs and it’s because of your videos! I learned I had dry eyes and other vision problems besides the exotropia I was being seen for from the vision therapist I demanded my ophthalmologist refer me to in 2018. I’ve spent yrs battling to be heard by optometrists and ophthalmologists. I had 20/20 or better vision until my 40s but could never see clearly with both eyes to read well and do many things people take for granted. The vision therapist said most eye doctors don’t have the diagnostic tools to test patients for vision disorders like mine. I learned to cope with the Exotropia but the discomfort of dry eyes was a battle as they got increasingly worse. Only 2 days of adding the eye massage to the list made a huge difference. Thank you for all the videos!!!

    I wish, someone had told me about this 10 years ago. That’s, how long I‘ve been suffering from chronic dry eye and all they ever told me, was to use eyedrops - which work for about 10 min, tops. THANK YOU 🙏

    • @raraavis7782
      @raraavis7782 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @Tommy Harris
      Ahhh...unfortunately not. I had such high hopes.
      I've looked into this some more and unfortunately, it seems, that these glands can also just stop working period, not just clog up.
      But go ahead and try it...it's a valid treatment, it could very well work for you, even if it didn't for me.

    • @raraavis7782
      @raraavis7782 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Tommy Harris
      Well, luckily the climate is very moderate here in Germany...we don’t really have airconditioning and there are no long, severe winters, either....that makes it easier to deal with. I don’t wear contact lenses anymore, obviously...I try to be consistent with applying eyedrops during daytime, because the dryness (even if bearable), can lead to damage on your cornea over time.
      Unfortunately, dryness at night, has increasingly become a problem, lately. I tried wearing an eye mask, to make sure, my eyes are tightly closed during the night...didn’t really help. I tried wearing swimming googles. That did actually help, but was very uncomfortable.
      Now, I‘m considering, getting used to waking up every 2 or 3 hours, to apply eyedrops. Maybe in conjunction with one of those sleep cycle measuring devices, to try and not wake up during deep sleep. I mean, we almost wake up anyway, several times a night, naturally. It should be possible, to time it in a way, that doesn’t impede sleep quality too much.
      I just think, my eyes would feel much better overall, if they could get proper rest during the night.
      I‘m also taking high dose fish oil capsules, amounting to 3000mg of fish oil or 450mg of DHA a day (in Trygliceride form), as per another of these videos. I‘m on week 4 now and it’s supposed to take 6 weeks, to take effect, if it does. I think, I‘m noticing a small improvement, but can’t say for sure, yet. There have always been fluctuations with my symptoms - possibly due to hormones and stuff.

      @@tmissyjeogiyomuljomjuseyo1992 Since you have extremely dry eyes, it would be best to see an eye doctor that takes a closer look into your eyes to see what else could be causing you not to be able to open your eyes due to the feeling of dryness. Something as simple as allergies can create dry eyes. Sometimes there needs to be more along with eye massage which your doctor can share with you to get the oils flowing so you can do the eye massage. I was also suggested to take Omega oils for dry eyes which have helped, again check with your eye doctor.

He would use his fingertips and very gently move them in small circles on his dad's closed eyelids for about a minute. Whether with respect to the eyes, or even other areas of the body, massage can be really helpful for a number of ailments, and I’m dismayed that so many doctors everywhere seem ignorant of that. They’re really missing out on helping their patients in a big way. This is already helping my dry eyes and I hope that in turn helps reduce my eye strain headaches that are greatly interfering with my work. This eye massage video might potentially be life changing! So thanks!

    I have suffered with styes for years. My doctor did not recommend anything but hot compresses many times per day. I returned to his office when heat did not work. I asked for preventive care and received no answers. Finally, while treating a second chalazion I found your video. Gentle massage was the answer! My cyst is almost gone now with compresses and massage. I will continue the heat and massage twice a day to stay on top of the problem. Thank you so very much. This routine is a God-send!

    I have a chalazion. It has lingered for too long. My opthamologist told me to put warm compresses several times a day and to massage my lid afterwards.
    I wish I had seen your videos quite done time ago. I would have learned then the proper way to care for my chalazion and most likely would now be rid of it.

    It’s rarely rare that I feel a need to comment on a video but I wanted to tell you that your channel is lovely. It’s like coming to see a friend who’s non-judgemental and jovial and yes, I would like a cup of tea!
    Since MS/Lupus/Sjogren’s diagnoses (plus scarring from ocular shingles a couple of years ago) I’ve found loads of really condescending advice and it is driving me slowly bananas.

    Excellent video! I am recovering from an eye infection precipitated by a clogged oil gland that actually ruptured. My opthalmologist said to do the warm compresses twice a day during recovery, then once every other day going forward. He said it's good hygiene, just like brushing your teeth on a regular basis. He didn't say anything about the eyelid massage, but I will probably incorporate that going forward. I have been suffering with dry eyes at night since March 2020.Thanks for the demonstration!
