    I've watched a few of your videos this afternoon, and its some of the best instructional content out there. Content is well edited and explained as well. Great to see.

    Great tip about pushing the shock shaft in when tightening the cap to reduce rebound 🍻

    1:35 for taking out the shock, you did the things I knew how to do, take the screws out. And then skipped the one thing I did not know how to do. It don't come out with just the removal of the screws. What I need to do after that?

    • @TeamRC3D
      @TeamRC3D  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Once screws are removed there is a pin that’s just pushes out

    You can really see the body roll is reduced in that clip at the end. 👍🏼

      Yes it better - will also try different springs

    Thank you for this awesome video!! I learned a lot. And why is it good to have no shock rebound? I’m still learning thanks agin👍

      Glad it was helpful! To be honest on this trucks it won’t make much difference but if you have rebound it acts like an extra spring. Also can build up pressure inside shock

      @@TeamRC3D thanks agin I actually did my Xmaxx shocks today and followed you way and worked out great! 👍

    Awesome video I got a question all my shock springs rub agnist the shock body on my brand new xmaxx anyway to fix it ? It keeps scratching the shock body. In ur vid I saw ur shock body was scratched a bit to is it normal for it to get scratched ?
    Thanks !

    If I'm running on the beach, what setting should i run for my collar? And if i have ~1/4" where it has no resistance at all then it kicks in, is that a sign of low oil? Could i top off on the car? Thanks!

    • @TeamRC3D
      @TeamRC3D  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Collars just set the ride height,and yes shocks may need a refill

  • @lukmankarlia8058
    @lukmankarlia8058 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Any Idea why my springs are curving into the shock when compressed and rubbing all the anodising from the shock bodies?

    • @TeamRC3D
      @TeamRC3D  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They sometime do that particularly if you run them under a lot of tension . Not the best springs

  • @bettyg7710

    2 things you did or said wrong 1, the washer helps keep the shock metering plate in place and helps to keep the rod from punching through. It has nothing to due with hydrolock. 2, always use the proper tool. Even a little marring is bad on shock shafts and your mark goes all the way up into the dust seal which will cause it to fail early.

    • @TeamRC3D
      @TeamRC3D  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Agreed should use the correct tool, but didn’t have it to hand, shocks have worked very we.l since this rebuild!

    Hi, could you tell me what you think the sound is on my x maxx? I’ve uploaded a video. I use a gpm rear diff, and it has a little of wear.

    • @TeamRC3D
      @TeamRC3D  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Had a look and almost certainly a gear somewhere - as others had said probably rear diff gear - it will need stripping down and should be obvious when you find the problem - there will be teeth missing or damage on a gear

    • @LGsRCs
      @LGsRCs 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TeamRC3D looks slightly worn out(the rear) but shouldn’t be enough to make it slip. No gears missing from anything. Two people have said shims.

    • @andyb9994
      @andyb9994 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Don't worry about a little noise all gears and diffs sound different....if it's not right it will fail and you can fix what's broke, but usually will be fine!!!!

    • @TeamRC3D

      Just fill to the top then bleed the oil - you will need some big bottles of oil!

    Thicker oil dosnt make suspension stiffer it slows rebound! Springs make suspension stiffer

    • @TeamRC3D
      @TeamRC3D  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well yes springs have biggest effect but stiffer oil slows the shock movement. We could do an hour long video on how piston size oil springs mounting position all have an affect but think it would bore most people!

    That's just terrible. How can you spoil the rods, not be able to properly assemble shock absorbers and teach this. Bro delete this video. I hope no one will collect shock absorbers according to your recommendations.
