Very helpful I'm gonna bust out the manual and set ours, especially my daughter driving hers she isn't so easy on the servo, already replaced gears in hers only had it since Xmas. But I know it's her on the wheel...thanks again...

i was about too go to sleep and i saw this and i have new plans for tomorrow, i just got my xmaxx 3 weeks ago and im boared waiting on parts lol, i got it used and there were issues and i broke it more lol

A little word of advice for people who are seriously into the hobby I have a struggle with reading they rely on videos to be accurate so correctly setting the endpoints is what you need to be doing when you make videos like this for people with disabilities
I'm truly sorry for any confusion this video may have caused. The only thing I did different was taking the front tires off to try and make it easier for the viewers to see the movement of the steer links and the hubs. The process is still the exact same and you are mostly using your ears to set the endpoints. Thank you for the advice on helping me be able to help more of my viewers. My father in law had a major stroke last year and is just now starting to be able to move his left side. So I would really hate to think that I'm not doing my best to be able to help all of my viewers. Please let me know if there's anything else I can do to help make the videos easier for you to follow. Wish I had this information a year ago. My son and I bought have an x maxx. I have changed 7 servos as was not aware of the setting.
That's one of the main reasons I started this channel, to try and help people out. Feel free to ask any questions or to let me know if there's a specific video you would like me to make, I'll do my best to try and help out.
I have now managed to set my steering On a new servo now thanks to your amazing and clear instructions on setting up the servo. Thank you so much
How do I not have these instructions after buying a x-maxx and a Maxx 🤷🤦🤯
I'm pretty sure you can download a pdf off of traxxas' website. But if you need me to take a picture of something specific and share it, feel free to ask.

Yes, sir. The computer I use to edit and upload videos was messing up and we just got it fixed. So we will be uploading on a regular basis again and your suggestion is one of the first new videos I will be shooting. Sorry for the delay and thank you for the suggestion.
Doesn’t come with the transmitter instructions from the box..
You should be able to download the pdf file from the traxxas website, if not and you need me to load a picture of something specific, let me know.

I did this, but the settings are not remembered unfortunately. Everytime I shut off the car and transmitter, the servo is back at full extension and have to start all over again 😑
Hmmm🤔, are you holding the menu button until the green light on the transmitter turns back on after you set the points? If you are, than I would maybe try and rebind your receiver, because that definitely shouldn't be happening.
@@beardownandrc1064 Yes I followed the procedure correctly. Rebinding is a good suggestion, I also thought about this. I will give this a try soon. I hope it cures my problem.
It would also help of Traxxas for the price you pay, would send that setup sheet programming with the menu button. Like endpoints, and the whole list you have. I bought mine 6 months ago and it only had the diagrams and and esc modes. I.e. Forwad/Brake, Reverse, training mode. Where did you get the page to use the menu button to change all the settings? Thx in advance.
Apparently I got lucky with getting the TQi manual in the box with my X-Maxx because I've heard of several people not getting it. If you go on google and search traxxas xmaxx tqi manual, you can download it in pdf form from Traxxas' website or take screen shots of the color manual like I have.
