The 2290 is good and I use it for 2 Years, but try the larhe Promodeler, this is awesome. So I changed all likaage fromnthe steering with Vitafon parts. They use 7075 Alu and it's steonger then 6061 Alu. But the costsbare very high at last 😢😅
@@redbanditracing I have the whole hot racing steering rack and adjustable steering links, with what you have , makes sense to do everything, my Xmaxx’s steering is super responsive .
Wow great timing I just bought an xmaxx and purchased this exact servo to upgrade I’m wondering if you bump up the voltage will the receiver handle it since it’s only 6v rating?
Stripped the gears out that servo in a couple runs on my xmaxx wasted money. Regardless of how much torque that servo has its a 10th scale servo. The giant tires on the xmaxx strip out the gears in no time.
Another great video...😎👍👍
Thanks! I appreciate it!
Great repair, very detailed.
Moat honest rc channel on TH-cam. Appreciate the honesty fellas
Not being honest about a product doesn’t help anyone who’s looking for answers. Thank you
Awesome man! Can’t wait to see it in action.
Awesome job improvements, im excited see you with the vigilante.
I went with vitivon for my servo horn and link. cool videos bro.. this one of my favorite new rc channels..
We tested the new servo with the HobbyWing Max6, stay tuned in. Thank you for the comment.
That noise is a savox thing.. ive literally owned dozens of different brands of servos and savox is the only ones ive had that do that..
That’s what we were thinking, sounded normal.
Mine has been doing that in my xmaxx for at least 3 yrs. Heck of a servo an no issues. Have Fun and thanks for the Entertainment
@@redbanditracing ya its totally normal.. savox is good quality no doubt.. but the price is a little to much imo..
I bet the Traxxas tqi can handle the 8.4v, great vid

Anyone interested in a standard servo you can buy the GPM adapter kit which will require no cutting.
Upgrade the whole steering rack too
What’s wrong with the steering linkage?

The TQi receiver is able to handle 7.4V, I haven’t tried 8.4V yet.
@ wow that’s awesome I ordered a hobbywing max 6 I’ll bump up the Bec 👍👍
We couldn’t believe how much faster that servo is at 7.4v.
@@seanconnolly2179 on the traxxas website it says the reciever is only rated for 6v.. could be a gamble at 7.4..
