Great video bud, if you could have afforded to keep it, it would have been great to see it done, but if it hangs about it'll drop a grand a mth in the book, might not stabilise until January, another point is with how customers are if it got rejected retail, maybe on finance mths down the line you could be 1000s out, so probably best, personally I'd have sorted it, tried it for a while and maybe sent it to a good auction, but anyway a wage is a wage bud,proud of you.

Chops , on first impression that is absolutely filthy.. As a BMW owner not keen on that colour. Looks like Individual Ruby Red but very flat. It's a X5 with an M Sport pack. As it's a YE plate there is a good chance it was originally registered by BMW and was owned or used by them. Good B58 3.0d engine in that motor.
I was once told BMW have a large holding area in Yorkshire somewhere for newly registered and demo cars, which would explain the YE suffix... my own car is a YE...

the the recalls for the EGR valves on the BMW diesels are a regular thing. l owned a 530D for four years and had three EGR valve recalls one check and the EGR valve was replaced twice. BMW say that if the EGR valve is not replaced it can result in a thermal incident, also known as your car catches fire and burns to the ground 🤣🤣
Glad to see you quickly passed on that BMW X5 James . Can't see the point of having an ultra fast SUV and crossing the fingers when you go around a bend .

Sounds more like he got a Kia because he couldn’t afford the upkeep of his x5 Absolutely love the look of this tho. Love when the originals owners go a bit bold and don’t just buy black white or grey. They look so good in some colour
I think it shows he was smart! The oils the same. Filters the same. Why pay 4 times as much. It's probably why he has the cash to buy it outright in first place

Not having a full BMW history on an 4 year old 40k car could just screams red flags for some buyers Also that recall has been around for a good while now my 71 plate works x5 had it when I had the car 2022. So that’s been outstanding a good while if it had been serviced by bmw they would have done the recall not left the egr system clogging up and causing issues down the line

I have recently had the EGR cooler (including the valve) replaced on my 2015 320D FOC by BMW. There's a 15 year warranty on the cooler!

Usually the miles are too high for their normal stock. They get quite fussy with that
I didn't think garages gave out details about vehicles they had worked on unless you provided proof of ownership
No quite happy to do so unless we are talking main dealers, they can be anal about it

It is just too far removed from the other stuff but in saying that people can get there finance before they come to you
