I do have an idea that the Mokka will probably be no stranger to garden centres, and probably has a tin of travel sweets in the glovebox. James really must be firm with this man now.
Mr Mokka gave 🚩🚩🚩when he gave a new car back then asked you to pay his tax 🙈 you are a good person James, I hate to see it when people mess you around, you don’t deserve it ☹️
Bloody hell James 🤣 Month max before tiddles is leaving you another message. I think in a previous life you've got to have been some kind of guy leading a donkey around with a lady expecting her first child looking for a stable 😂
James he wants you to put new engine gearbox and replace every component on the car with a new one supply a lifetime warranty and wrap the car in bubble wrap haha
At this point James, tell him to do one or buy the car back, you will never get him away because he knows you'll fold and help him. Your too good for your own good. 😊
Lesson 1. Don’t sell old Vauxhalls Lesson 2. When someone tells you they’ve got rid of a new car and want an old dump truck…RUN! They’re skint Lesson 3. Don’t give them discounts. They’re skint and trying it on. Lesson 4. Keeps copies of all the service info and documents. Lesson 5. Tell him to piss off he’s a total chancer.
I keep a full digital record of all history/ documentation etc on every vehicle so can refer back. Also do 3 month/3000 miles warranty on vehicles up to 5 years& 1 month /1000 miles over 5 years.
Noooooooooooo 🙈 What have you learned from this? The more you offer to do here the more it will look those items were not done originally won’t it? If I knew they were done I would not budge. You don’t want a return customer like this.
I will never understand people's thinking when they buy a used car for that sort of age and money. I personally think it would be a smart business move to start selling newer cars
My neighbour had one of these melts. He privately sold a guy a Zafira ( the sporty one) and after about 2 days the guy called up and wanted to give it back! My neighbour politely but firmly declined. The guy was not happy. Who the f**k does that!!?
Alternators are a pia on the 1.7 diesels. Oil pump runs off the back & their known to be a weak point. Add GM legendary design guys removing the battery charging light on the dash so, no indication that the car is not charging beforehand & their you have it stranded without warning "A total balls up" allround 👍💪.
@ChopsGarage I had a y reg astra with 1.7d. Turbo went and engine ran pm it's oil. Revving it's nuts off. I thought that engine was gone. Mechanic put a new turbo on it. Right as rain.
James, you go above and beyond! I’d have no hesitation in buying a car from you (I’ve already wore one!) but I would be much more realistic about what is my responsibility after that! Mr Mokka Man sounds like one of life’s eternal worriers/overthinkers! Just enjoy the car!
As I said in the comments a few days ago James. Trade to trade on the sub 5k cars. One side of your units as a workshop and a handfull of higher priced cars in your other unit which could be made into a nice showroom. With your level of after care, you need more margins to give the service that you give. All the best, Tony.
Mr Mor-ka ( sic ) strikes again !! He'll be back for blinker fluid, brake dust and spark plugs next . . . ( Yes I know it's a diesel ) You're a far fairer and patient man than he deserves and I just hope he is actually grateful, however I fear you haven't seen the last of him !!
Bless him my arse, sorry james but hes a complete end of bell and chancer,he's never gonna give up so when he comes back which hewill either tell him to bore off or give him his money back for the love if god🙈🤣
Sadly Alice is not at the bottom of all Rabbit holes 😬 i feel your pain and i am dealing with someone very similar at the moment, he just won't go away but Mr Rude will be coming out to play shortly 😡
James, you should have walked away at the start. He’s the kind of bloke who would order streaky bacon and then demand a discount because you haven’t trimmed the fat. There’s no pleasing some people. Maybe in future you should copy service records until you’re home and hosed.
Wow what a bargain for a cambelt he’s done alright out of you James. Hope this is the last now you have been more than fair. When the cambelt snapped on my sisters Saxo in 2013 she only had it a month the dealer in all fairness collected the car he said as part of the terms we don’t cover cambelts under the 1 month warranty but he said he would pay £200 of the £340 bill for a head rebuild due to the fact who he bought the car off which was bought from another dealer who ever they had to fit the belt didn’t do it properly. Funny enough when she had it she felt it was sluggish compare to her previous 1.1 Saxo but she put it down to maybe being 5 years since driving the previous one maybe she was imagining it but obviously she wasn’t. Just lucky it snapped when starting going up hill around 30mph.
Why I only sell pickups they sell fast people don’t mind dents don’t expect it to be perfect understand it’s a work horse cars are to much hassle they have to be near perfect condition which then costs more to retail them
Currently got a 2016 2.0 tdci mondeo, on 180k, had four issues in four years, new radiator, new thermostat housing, rear caliper and master cylinder snapped at clutch pedal, use genuine parts and oil and change the oil every 7-10k miles, and never use supermarket fuel, cars still as it keft factory apart from the above and brakes and tyres........brothers got a 2015 525d on 208k, thats had a new gearbox at 190k and new timing chains at 205k.....if he had changed the oil at 10k intervals and gearbox oil at 60k intervals, they probably would have lasted double the mileage they did....but he insisted on using main dealer intervals which says gearbox doesnt need services in its lifetime....
I can never work out why Alternators, as a whole unit, fail. though I can understand the cost to refurb one is more in UK labour than buying in a newly assembled one
You are never going to see the back of this person even after 3 months is up.You really need to take it back and refund him on the very soon next visit. Its going to be the battery next as the weather gets colder.
You've done well bud, 80 quid labour is a massive favour, I'd have added something for yourself tbh, alternator is fair enough, it's how the job goes, I woke up to 2 complaints this morning, slightly noisy thrust bearing, even tho I'd mentioned it, car at 850(!)sent him 50 quid, newish bike, 1k miles, as new, saying it was smoking, I'd been riding it, was as new, anyway he'd put loads of fuel additive (why) in it and it made it smoke, crazy, you couldn't make it up. As dave says, ripples in the pond of success, ha, ha.
I tell people that if I give a decent discount, all bets are off and it's as is, they can't really have both, no basis in law I know but you've got to fight your corner, no real easy way round deals like Mr mokka, he just wants it all.
I reckon he thinks if he keeps coming back you will buy him the new car he returned. Time to tell him to bugger off and never darken your doorstep again.
I had a mk5 Astra 1.7 diesel years ago the thing used to eat alternators had 3 on it in 5 years then the mother in law got one and that was the same 😂 look forward to your Christmas card off him
James you now have a friend for life. He will be ringing you on Christmas morning because he has a flat tyre or a blown side light bulb.
So his alternator had gone, you wouldn't have rung up? Of course you would 🤦
@stepheng8779 Wouldn't have rang about 6 times and left messages.
Just wait until he runs out of washer fluid !
Remember Harry Enfields "Only me "
That customer seems like him 🤣
You don’t wanna do it like that. 🤣
I do have an idea that the Mokka will probably be no stranger to garden centres, and probably has a tin of travel sweets in the glovebox.
James really must be firm with this man now.
James just say no 🤬
When the 30 days are up, you need to be firm, no means no
Are you listening James?
December 25th, "hello James, my Christmas tree lights won't turn on".
James, you couldn’t make this stuff up! You deserve a medal 🥇
Dudes a freeloader, getting people to subsidise his life! I'd like to know what happened with the brand new car!
1) Don't discount cars, James 2) Don't discount cars, James 3) Don't discount cars, James 😀😀😀😀
Lol love it
@@ChopsGarage I have a camp bed you can have if you want to park him in the corner of your workshop . If you are missing him after a week James
@@bigsy2mercshe'd find something wrong with it and come after you as well.
The next time he comes back ( as he is highly likely to do ) just buy it back off him and send him on his way .
Thinking the same.
Just tell him to go away and multiply…….forcefully!
Mr Mokka gave 🚩🚩🚩when he gave a new car back then asked you to pay his tax 🙈 you are a good person James, I hate to see it when people mess you around, you don’t deserve it ☹️
There’s always one unfortunately you got him.
The start of the video was next level, definitely vibing with it.
Yeah you can have the cambelt but you pay it yourself
Someone who would like a Vehicle but really cannot afford to own one and use it daily.
Enough is enough.
What you might have is a part swapper. I would give him his money back if he brings it back again
He probably has a slight ocd obsessive trait, maybe no malice but still a utter nightmare.
I have a gut feeling this will end up on TV in judge Rinders Court.
I've been waiting for this one!! I knew he would be back.
I would buy a car from you James.
Nest week...the marriage proposal 😅
He returns a brand new car then replaces it with a 10 year old car with over 100000 miles,🤥yeh right.
Bloody hell James 🤣
Month max before tiddles is leaving you another message.
I think in a previous life you've got to have been some kind of guy leading a donkey around with a lady expecting her first child looking for a stable 😂
"Only Me!" 😂
Topman, you are the most reasonably car dealer I have ever seen, keep up the good work with your videos
Thanks, will do!
As the saying goes “that’s put the mockers on it” 🤦🏻♂️. You’ve more patience than a saint James.
You’ll be putting out an extra place setting at the dinner table soon 😂 You’re doing the right thing and explain the principles brilliantly … 👍
Buy it back, I am so angry listening to this.
James he wants you to put new engine gearbox and replace every component on the car with a new one supply a lifetime warranty and wrap the car in bubble wrap haha
Lol possibly
Call no.21 will be about a slight coating of rust on the wheel hubs...
Lol

Bit labour intensive. This is first time I've had the issue in probably 1000 cars or more now
"James, I cant see a receipt for a brake fluid swap and I might have a crash.
James, the cars dirty, can you pop over and wash it?"
He'll be back for you to pay next years insurance, tax and MOT. 😂

I will never understand people's thinking when they buy a used car for that sort of age and money. I personally think it would be a smart business move to start selling newer cars
You should of cancelled this sale ages ago, MR mokka is going to keep coming
Sounds like you have set yourself on fire to keep someone warm… got to stop selling to those that expect a used car to have 0 miles
I think this Mokka man was in the film HOT FUZZ, something
about his swan running away.
Lol
😂😂😂There is always one out there
Oh no not the blue Vauxhall Mokka

You must invite him to your Christmas works party 😂
Next time he calls beck. Tell him you want the car back at cost minus what you have spent since he's taken it. The man is a head ache
Might be best call

Solution: avoid Vauxhalls.
Been used to running new cars under the 3 year manufacturers warranty. Hes for whatever reason moved down market but still has the mindset of new car.
That 1.7d is the isuzu engine. Bullet proof. Literally.
