    Great upgrade! Always loved a Fazer and good to see one getting the ‘naked’ treatment! It really suits the character and attitude of this bike! Good job! 👏👏

    How far from center did you mount the magnet? Trying to figure out how to set the speed but mine is way off. Did you use 2 magnets or just one?

    • @ShooglyShedMotors
      @ShooglyShedMotors  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I didn't use the magnet, I used the Fazer's speed sensor that's built in. The speed can be adjusted in the settings of the device. Mine was way off too but I spent some time dialling it in.

  • @nicholasthomas9186
    @nicholasthomas9186 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    This video was a huge help for me putting the same gauge on my 2000 SV650. Just out of curiosity, what did you set your speedo settings to? I can also link directly into my speed sensor, but even with the correct circumference, it's still reading about 3-4 times too fast. I'm guessing I should mess with the magnet quantity settings?

    • @ShooglyShedMotors
      @ShooglyShedMotors  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ah yes, I spent a bit of time adjusting the settings. A bit of trial and error is required! But it's essentially a case of adjusting the bottom left numbers in the settings screen. I think I'm on 07.50 or similar for the fazer.

    • @nicholasthomas9186
      @nicholasthomas9186 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ShooglyShedMotors Yeah, I ended up finding out that I didn't size the wheel right for starters (actually ended up finding a calculator that would do circumference by tire size) and 4 magnets seemed to do the trick after a few short rides through my brother's neighborhood. Only got lost like 3 times! Glad I subscribe since I was going to go with a MUCH more expensive option til I saw this video. Great stuff as usual! Loved your GS build series too!

    I NEED HELP !
    First i had connected both [+]wires (red and black) at the key of my moto so when i turn it on it should move the needle up and down and at the same time the light turnes on, but the settings on the speedo's menu resets every time i turn off the key... 2 days ago I changed it, the red wire is always attached to the battery [+]pole and only the the black wire is on the key so the speedo is always powered on and displaying all gears, speed and gas level but with no backround light (the backround light is the black wire which is powered only if the key is on) Everything was running perfectly but the other day the battery was dead meaning that the speedo shouldn't be always attached on the [+] pole but if it is not always attached the speedo menu settings resets!
    Did i do something wrong ?? Please I need your help
