List Of Ingredients For Filling/Stuffing
4 meduim onions
4 green Chillies
4 stems of Springonion
15 mint leaves
1 Bunch of coriander
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
500 grams of mutton mince meat
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of ginger and garlic paste
1 heeped teaspoon of mixed masala
List Of Ingredients For Pastry
3 cups of all purpose wheat flour
1 flat teaspoon of salt
300ml of tap water ( cold water )

No spices to pastry
Yes samosas can be made in many ways. You get prawn samoosas, cheese and corn, just about whatever you wish to use.

I have a question please...if i want to freeze my pastry...in what way I will do ..does it need to toast my dough and separate before freeze or freeze it before toasting...?
Always first toast or I use the term bake. You cannot use frozen dough. Samosa pur is so unforgiving

Hi Saleem, greetings from Vancouver Island in BC Canada, I am from Capetown ( left in 1988) always loved the real deal Cape Malay Samoosas. I can probably cheat the flour process by using Phylo Pastry, but then I would be a fraud.
I was wondering, once the discs are oiled could they be frozen in a zip loc bag ?
We have a Readest Digest SA cook book from 1990, with details on how to make these but nothing beats the visualisation from a video by a master.

Frozen pur is readily available in sa so I sure you can make and freeze pur. (strips)

You need to go the whole process then into Ziplock bags. Don't let water get in

I always put the mandas on hot tawa...but baking mks em more crispier i guess
Use what works for you. Baking can make it hard sometimes
