    What a pleasant surprise to find these two great geniuses chatting like nothing about such interesting topics. Congratulations to both of you for your openness and kindness to us pilots.
    Happy New Year to everyone !!!!!

    Nice interview, good to see that we can do more with logical conditions. Do you know of a way to use logical conditions to make a pan (or pan &tilt) servo move more smoothly? Now I do it by using the slow down and slow up function in opentx. But i'm looking for a way to use some sort of expo to make sure the servo starts and stop smoothly when e.g. moving a slider on the transmitter. This would make the fpv view and recording more nicer to look at.

    Ha! I didn't realize how bleeding-edge INAV 2.6 was since I had just upgraded my drone a couple days ago and flashed 2.6 to the new flight FC! Looking into all the changes now!
    I upgraded the entire "drivetrain" of my 5" drone, from some cheap Garrt 2205 2300KV motors generic 4-in-1 ESC and an aging SPracingF3evo with Betaflight 4 on it, to the EMAX 2207 2400KV motors and an F405 Mamba flight stack! Seems like BetaFlight is losing popularity due to certain design decisions, people only sticking with it for having the best performance on 5" builds. Having seen Paweł's comparison video I figured INAV 2.6 and mentions of merging the DSP magic form BF into INAV, it would become the best of both worlds :)

    Did Lee just shave his head?
    No, wait. He looks familiar.
    I'm on the wrong channel. This is Pawel's channel. No?
    ???
    Oh! OK, I get it.

    Thanks, Painless360! Do I have to disable the fail safe in my TX? If I set up mission flighting, does it return home when I turning off my TX but there are serveral on-going points to reach?

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Didn't I cover thay in my INAV mission planning video? I would expect that on failsafe the model would head for home..

    Merry christmas !
    just from the intro I saw a line "f3" no longer supported. I do not have f3 boards, but F4 and recognicing F3 boards are dead now I am asking myself if and when F4 will be dead and if I should sell my F405 now to get F7 whatever - for wings only.
    I have close to none inav experience and no feeling how long the F405 will or can be good enough and I am at the edge of investing money into flightcontrollers , in particular Matek ones that worked for me really well.
    Maybe another point to cover in your content line invav and flight controllers.

    • @tin2001
      @tin2001 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      As far as I understand, F3 to F4 is a huge jump in the whole chip, while F4 to F7 is more about the IO options....
      Been a while since I looked though so I might be wrong.

    • @flyingdream777
      @flyingdream777 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do not worry about that, the older versions will always be available that support older boards. I still fly a old BetaFlight on a F3 board on one of my oldest 5” quads and it still flys great. I think it will be a few more years before the F4 boards are out paced but they will still fly great even when there development has reached its limits.

    I've just set up a Dart XL for a friend and installed Inav 2.6 onto the 722 wing. The problem is that speedybee said it is only compatible with 2.4 and 2.5 which is going to make it a real pain to make adjustments.

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not nessesarly. Check out the new OSD menus while the Speedybee app catches up.. ;)

    • @51im
      @51im 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Painless360 I don't like using osd menus due to the vtx sitting and cooking itself while trying to find and adjusting the settings. Speedybee is so much more convenient and you can use the CLI

      You may need to manually enter DFU mode by holding a button or shorting a jumper... It *is* still the normal procedure, except for that manual step you might need to do that is normally done automatically.
