    I wish i learnt most of these principles about seven years ago. A lot of people have been trapped strongly in the matrix-- Go to school, get a job, and then slave your whole life. Many miss out on life-changing information that could have great effect on their finances. I played with the stock market sometime in 2020, and I was surprised at how well it turned out. I want to put in $90k more into the market. I heard people are making really great returns despite the downturn. Any recommendations?

      @Robertgriffinne ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over 250k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are a lot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look.

    I officially got into "tech" ~5 years ago. First job I learned a lot of basics, jack of all trades type of situation. I only got into a larger networking job the past 3 - one thing I noticed is the CLI is only ever used for ad-hoc maintenance or traffic engineering. Most of the basic architectures are now deployed using YAML, Jinja, and Python. A lot of programmatic concepts and pipelines are used now, and the need for skills with Linux is growing. Linux is by far the greatest toolset I've learned, it's helped me understand networking better, it's helped me understand systems better. The amount of times I use common Linux tools on our config repo to bulk-audit and edit is more often than I think I do full configurations from scratch.

    Great video David! Detailed and well thought out Have enjoyed your content for a few years now. Really enjoyed the OccupyTheWeb stuff, and am looking forward to his networking book.
    A couple of observations I hope you’re happy for me to share
    - Often people will recommend certs but it’s not always for the cert, it’s for the body of knowledge attained by studying the material. Where exams can be stressful or expensive (and the cert itself not always being particularly recognised, depending), is it worth distinguishing this in your future videos, IF you mean this, that is.
    - Your growth mindset is absolutely correct and a great thing to teach. I think in addition though downtime/fun/relaxation is important for enjoying life ‘in the moment’ and also the long-term payoff is probably stable mental wellbeing. I guess it’s a balancing act!

    In my opinion, stocks are WAYYY better than 5% fixed income. IF YOU PICK THE RIGHT equities. There are doubts as stocks historically return 7% after inflation. My wife and I are currently adding a variety of stocks/ETF to my present holdings for the long term. We've started following inflation-indexed bonds and stocks of companies with solid cash flows, I believe it is a good time to capitalize on the market for long-term gains, but it also wouldn't hurt to know means of actualizing short term profit.

      Please I'd like to get some advice . I am an electrician , I'm 34 years old and i started educating myself on something whicth I've not finished yet .Now do you think is a good idea if I should be learning two things in parallel? Moreover I know nothing about programming like python,..would starting AI , Machine learning or data science be beneficial for me ? Your suggestions are very welcome and thanks in advance.
