Hi Kat this Raquel from Puerto Rico I have never done Kumihimo so as a beginner can i use this is it easy for me thank you as always great teacher blessing stay safe
I realize you guys are in the middle of a major change-up and working on getting somethings back in stock, I just wondered if this would include your Kumihimo kits? Or if you think those will not be coming back?
We provide the patterns for free on our website. If you follow this link here it will take you to the kit listing and then click on PDF Instructions midway down the listing beadaholique.com/products/graduated-kumihimo-bracelet-in-nautical-exclusive-beadaholique-jewelry-kit
I just went to a flea market and I got some kumihimo bracelets that have no clasp on them they just roll over your hand it's one solid bracelet how do you make these?
Sure will, in fact these kits use 11/0 miyuki rounds. If you're wondering about the more cylindrical miyuki delicas those would work too for a graduated but the overall look of the bracelet will be a little different with he beads stacking together more tightly. Here's an example of a kumi bracelet using slightly smaller 10/0 delicas to give you bit of idea of how delicas look in this sort of braid: beadaholique.com/products/beaded-kumihimo-wrap-bracelet-new-years-eve-exclusive-beadaholique-jewelry-kit
Kathy's got it, the well is 6.2mm. You can see the clasps we used here: beadaholique.com/products/magnetic-clasp-tube-cord-ends-fits-6-2mm-cord-1-set-silver-plated beadaholique.com/products/magnetic-clasp-tube-cord-ends-fits-6-2mm-cord-1-set-gold-plated
Hi Lori, I appreciate you asking about this. We ask that people not sell any of our designs, including assembled versions of our kits. They're meant to be worn by you or given as gifts. We do encourage everyone to take the techniques and styles you learn from our videos and use them as inspiration for your own for-sale designs. Try designing a new color palette, incorporating different beads, or adding your favorite charms to make the designs your own.
We're using graduate here in the sense that the pattern gradually shifts from one color to another. Gradated would probably also be correct here, but to me that phrase implies many different shades of color, each a different grade. These kits use only two colors so it's a different effect; less smooth, more striking.
We used Miyuki 8/0 rounds. You can see our selection of them here: beadaholique.com/collections/seed-beads?_=pf&pf_t_style=0-Style%3ARound&pf_v_brand=Miyuki&pf_t_size=0-Size%3A8%2F0
Kumi can be overwhelming at first, it can be helpful to see it from a few different angles. We have a very popular video from a few years ago that shows a necklace in a similar style, you might find it a little easier to follow: th-cam.com/video/q03uH3y4XvY/w-d-xo.html
I ordered the orange kit and can’t wait to receive it. My first time for kumihimo.
Oh that's wonderful, you're gonna have a lot of fun with it! Thanks for your order!
Thank you so much for the new Kumihimo tutorial. Now I just need to decide which color to order.
Glad you like these Paula, we're glad to be back doing kumi work too. I think my favorite of them is the gold and teal
Looks like fun to make
I didn't know much about Biz, but I studied a lot while watching videos!
I'll watch a lot of other videos!💖

Thanks, Kat! I want to learn this.
Happy to help Sherron! Let us know if you have any questions
Such cool Bracelets. Looks kind of easy. A bit time consuming. But they are so pretty.... 💖💖
Kumi is very easy, but time consuming, but oddly relaxing. That's why we love it, because honestly most of the best crafts are pretty time consuming.

Can anyone tell me what size seed beads Kat was using on this video?
In another comment Kat says they're 11/0 miyuki rounds

We do plan to bring back kits in the near future. We recommend signing up for a notification for any kits you may be interested in. beadaholique.com
Would you add the extra beads to make it bigger on each row front and back?
Yes, since the pattern features solid colors at both ends it's easy to add a bit of length by adding more rows of solid color at the beginning and end
Why do you not show the patterned paper? You show it for one split second and you cant read the pattern

I know I’m a year late, but those are crocheted.
@@NCGrace413not necessarily. Could be a tubular peyote or tubular herringbone
Look into tubular stitches. Tubular peyote or herringbone is likely. Potomac beads has amazing tutorials and kits
Would 11/0 miyuki beads work with design?
Sure will, in fact these kits use 11/0 miyuki rounds. What size well is the clasp?
I think it is 6.2 for the well size....FCR-4246 is the product code # at beadaholique...hope this helps

What kind of cord are you using?
We're using size 18 s-lon, you can see the colors we carry here: beadaholique.com/collections/beading-cord-ribbon?_=pf&pf_t_style=0-Style%3AS-Lon
It might be Macrame Cord. is what it looks like to me.
Does Graduated mean change in color or gradiated? Is the word gradiated?
We're using graduate here in the sense that the pattern gradually shifts from one color to another. These kits use only two colors so it's a different effect; less smooth, more striking.
@@beadaholique So that means, graduated colors? One darker color to a lighter one, right?

They are beautiful bracelets. It's not the presentor's fault that I could not grasp what she was teaching. I am going to have to pass on kumihimo.
