Sorry, the instructions are broken up in a someone what confusing way on that page. Here a few of our most popular videos that show the whole process including the braiding: th-cam.com/video/Vo9EOU_D-I8/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/q03uH3y4XvY/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/gbB2cfjFXwI/w-d-xo.html
Do you put the end caps only over the unbraided section of thread? Or cut off the unbraided section and put the end cap over the beads? I've not done beaded kumihimo yet...
The caps go over the braid, but not over the beads. What we do is braid about an inch of un-beaded cord before we start to add our beads, then we finish the end the same way. The caps go over that braided portion. Depending on the size of the caps we often bulk up the ends by wrapping them in a little more cord before applying the glue and slipping on the cap. This makes a strong bond with a lot of surface area for the glue to grip to. We have a lot of kumi videos that show the full process beginning-to-end that you might find helpful. Here's a good one, you can see the cap and glue finishing technique well here: th-cam.com/video/Vo9EOU_D-I8/w-d-xo.html
Have been watching all your videos on kumihimo quick question, when making the necklaces with a certain pattern how do I know how many beads to use for different lenghts, is there a way to calculate before I start to bead Thanks I can figure out the bracelets
It can vary a lot based on the size of your various beads, how many warps, the cord you use, and even how heavy your weight is. What we typically do is braid an inch of the pattern we want, count how many beads that took, and then multiply that by the length we want. To give you a point of reference though: 6 inches of 8 warp kumihimo, made using 8/0 round seed beads on our usual size 18 S-Lon, takes around 38-40 beads.
We do have a stretch bracelet kit, it's a set of bracelets with wood beads and gemstones, perfect for stacking together: beadaholique.com/products/boho-gemstone-bracelet-set-exclusive-beadaholique-jewelry-kit
Each side of the clasp measures 11mm long by 7mm wide, and will hold cord up to 6.2mm thick, you can find the ones we used here: beadaholique.com/products/magnetic-clasp-tube-cord-ends-fits-6-2mm-cord-1-set-silver-plated
Check out the project page for the bracelet, the instructions section will take you through it step by step with the help of some of our other kumihimo videos: beadaholique.com/products/talk-to-me-teal-kumihimo-bracelet
Are you going out of business? I saw somewhere on pinterest that said that or did someone new buy the business? Love this on utube and your website and products.
Nope, we're still in business with the same owners. Things may feel a little different as most of us are working from home and our warehouse is working under strict social distancing protocols, but we're carrying on and happy to be able to help folks find new hobbies and projects as they spend more time at home.
Glad to hear you're enjoying the designs Luz! We'd love to see how they turned out if you have any photos. If you're on Facebook or Instagram feel free to post a few pics and tag us @Beadaholiqe!

I agree it really makes me feel it’s all about buying their products. Talks that fast I missed how many beads per colour on three colour bracelet.
Wait, there's a lot missing! What happens after you put the beads on? How do you make it round?

No prob, have fun!
Is this faster than bead crochet?
It can be for some people, some folks also find it easier to learn as well. The end result is very similar to beaded crochet in construction.
