Yeah thanks for letting us know about the size. Now I know which ones to get when I got to Hobby Lobby. My go to craft store. It's a bummer beadaholique doesn't carry these kits there. It would be so awesome. If they did
Hi Badaholique I just wanted to let you know I did get my kit and have already made my bracelet, I love it and it was so much fun to make and it's Beautiful Thank you so much!!!!
I purchased one kid and one refill I've got the kit made however I can't find my instructions so I'm not sure how to finish it off and I still got it sitting on the kuma Loom what would it take for me to get the instructions so that I would have a hard copy to be able to read and watch the video again so I can finish that bracelet off also can this be done with size 6 by cones and if so how do you reduce the amount of beads love it love you.
If you are missing instructions, please contact our customer service department at service@Beadaholique.com or give us a call at 866-834-4618, M-F, 9am-5pm Pacific Time. Just let us know your order number and we should be able to provide the instructions by email or regular mail, whichever you prefer. You can potentially use 6mm bicones. You would use approximately 6 less beads per strand to achieve the same length as you would with the 4mm. Thank you!
I followed the instructions, but my bracelet is very big. Can you suggest why, and how to make it smaller? I have a large wrist so I’m confused as to what happened!
That’s really amazing, I made one already and love it, just have a question, can I try making same bracelet but with roundel beads not bicone beads ?! Thanks in advance ❤️
Good question! We haven't tried a rondelle kumihimo bracelet yet. I think it's worth a shot but you might run into difficulties depending on how wide your rondelles are. We've done a few projects using unusual beads, and what's worked best for us is asymmetrical beads where the hole is closer to one end. That way we can thread the bead so the short end faces inward, allowing the interior of the braid to come together tightly. If your rondelles are too wide they might make the braiding a little loose. You might get a great look that way, but it might be a little unstable. I think it sounds like a fun experiment! Here's a few examples of asymmetrical kumihimo bracelets I mentioned if you want to see what I mean: beadaholique.com/products/jade-dragon-kumihimo-bracelet beadaholique.com/products/mod-mushroom-kumihimo-bracelet beadaholique.com/products/retired-draccus-kumihimo-bracelet
If you want to make the bracelet a little shorter, you add fewer seed beads but don't change the length of each cord which is 36 inches right? I am having trouble with mine as my bracelet is still too big and I went from 36 inches of cord to 30 inches and it's still too big. I need help! I am also using Miukui Round seed beads size 8/0. Am I using the wrong seed beads? Should I be using the Toho instead of the Miyuki round? Please help!
Hi Claire, You can change the length of the cord but you don’t have to. You do however need to change the number of seed beads on each section respectively. I believe nearly all our kumi projects including this one have used Toho rounds, but we have recently started carrying more Miyuki rounds as well and the differences are very slight and come down to personal preference.
@@clairemendoza8082 Yeah there are some small differences. The Miyuki rounds tend to be a little, well, rounder, whereas the Toho rounds are slightly more cylindrical. The Toho rounds also have a slightly large hole which we like for our bead weaving because it makes multiple passes just a touch easier.
I wish you would show how to do the Butterfly Kumihimo Bracelet. I am new to kumihimo but I love that bracelet so I want to make it & I'm better at following along with videos that paper instructions. I want to make a 6 1/2 bracelet & I'm worried that I'll add to many or not enough beads on each side of the charm.
We actually have a video on how to make this bracelet here: th-cam.com/video/rDr9VtEV4T4/w-d-xo.html The only difference is the charm is different, but the technique is the same. Thanks for watching!

hi Julie can you help me please. i wanna ask if how can i adjust the beads cause some of my family have a smaller wrist . this bracelets are perfect for Christmas gift for my family i eas about to order on your website. i hope you can help me and thank you ...
Hi Abena, unfortunately the shipping company we use doesn't ship to Ghana. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Some of our international customers have placed orders with us using a package forwarding service. If you're not able to to find kumihimo tools locally it might be work looking at. Here is one that some of our customers have used in the past: www.viabox.com

Hello could please tell me the lengh's thread of each piece of c lon? Thanks and sorry for my bad english.Pouvez vous me dire quelle est la longueur de chaque fil c lon?
Hi, I seem to have a problem with my own materials are these beads special kumihimo seed beads? I was hoping to have some advice as the cord shows a lot even though the seed beads and cord I picked up in a shop are correct for the project :( either that or my disk just has gone on strike 😂
C-lon or s-lon will be the strongest. However there are many factors to consider. You can use hemp, pearl cotton, or thread for kumihimo. The designs in this video are kits and come with all you will need to complete the bracelet, including the s-lon. If you use another material, be sure to match the size of your beads to your thread.
I am having trouble when I start adding the beads, They are not falling together. I am going just like when I was doing the strings without the beads. And the chain looks real good. WHAT am I doing wrong? Thank you. Dona

The clasps are 11mm x 7mm and fit up to a 6.2mm cord. They're our favorite clasp for all sorts of kumi projects. You can see them here: www.beadaholique.com/silver-plated-magnetic-tube-cord-ends-clasps-fits-6-2mm-cord-1-set.html
Pat Ford The instructions make an approx. 7.25" bracelet. If you want to make it longer, add additional seed beads to your strands before beginning. I would suggest stringing the beads in the following pattern on each strand: 17 seed beads, 12 bicones, 17 seed beads - for an 8" bracelet. The additional beads will make it long enough and you can also always braid a little extra on each end without beads that will extend the length too.
Marily C Hi, for a 6 inch wrist I would still make a 7 - 7.5" bracelet, you don't want it to be too tight. For the bracelet in the video you would place 12 seed beads, 12 bicones, 12 seed beads on each warp.

Could I do 15 8's, 15 bicones, 15 8's to make a longer bracelet?
