I was an infantry Marine for 8 years from 2001-2009. Did three combat deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan. We took great pride in being professionals and living up to the great history and honoring the traditions of the Marines that came before us. I really enjoy the way that you are teaching the importance of accountability. During the after action reports of every mission we talked about the positives for about a minute. The mistakes were always the longest part of the debrief even if they were just the smallest attention to detail. Only focusing on what was successful is going to give people that don’t understand the military a false impression of how things actually operate. Many situations that have ended in tragic results never address the failures that lead up to situations completely breaking down. I completely agree with what you are saying. Thank you for your service I always enjoy listening to other veterans talk about the experience they had.

Matt Bissonette tells his version well on his podcast with Jack Carr. As a former Scout and have multiple tours and knows how it all works, I've never believed anything Rob has said..And as for Red Win 32:22 g I've always thought there is a lot of cover up in that operation. The seal community has gone total off the deep end in cover ups and more. I have no faith in todays leadership in the new woke military. Just look who is running the military. Look at Milley and Loyd Austin those 2 and others have single handedly destroyed the military. My LT in Iraq was SF and in 22 he died after getting his 2nd mandatory booster. Im so glad I was medically retired after multiple tours in 14. I worked with a lot of the guys from 10th group at YTC and FTLewis training up the DEA. And all those guys were great to work with. But I've never particularly cared for the seals I've meet. They always thought they were above everyone and could do what ever they wanted with no repercussions.
The govt put O’Neill up the claims They wanted a face to go along with the story Needed a hero for the time Seal community was getting bad press and this hero story made them forget it
In addition, regarding John Chapman and Neil Robert's death on the mountain DEVGRU Ops Officer Syzmanski ordered the helo insertion on the X, despite daylight and despite Delta's success in their recce missions already in place after foot infiltration days prior. Pete Blaber who commanded these Delta AFOs advised Gen Trebon against the Seals joining late but he was shut down. He talks about this in "Men, Mission and Me". Slab followed orders from DEVGRU and the rest is history and the greatest heroism by Chappie. As documented, DEVGRU led the fight for Slab's MOH and stiffled Chappies process by the AFSOC.
I am glad you suggested books to read. From other books and interviews, it sounded like Slab did not want the Medal of Honor, and the BS came from the command. I've heard interviews that showed where Seals were told to tow the line or else by the command. And judging by the higher-up leadership and the actions and words of the joint chief I can believe that. They should be held accountable for not just the bs with the seals but more importantly, the withdrawal from Afghanistan. I can't believe that they are not all in prison along with the Biden administration. I'm not a Democrat or Republican nor a Trump or Biden fan. Frankly, they both are an embarrassment to our country.
I remember the first time I heard Rob O’Neil’s account of the events on the OBL raid on the Adam Carolla podcast. He said some things that didn’t add up to me especially when Rob was saying when they were breaching the door he was worried that would blow their cover, AFTER the helicopter had crashed in the yard. I would have thought a crashed helicopter would make a lot of noise no matter how stealthy it was. Something about the story didn’t sit right me especially how the rest of the team, that didn’t retire and write a book, were stuck on a helicopter that got shot down.
The first thing I learned in the military was teamwork. It was pounded into our heads every day. Any vet that steps out from his unit to take credit, is a vet I’d never have on my team
Of course he didn’t hear the debrief of Neptune’s Spear. I agree with this man about almost all he is saying. The Job Price situation I can see that being a murder. But on one hand he’s talking about how he’s getting nowhere with the Navy, and in the next sentence he mentions that he heard the debrief of the most important mission in JSOC history. Yeahhhh sure you did…
Going after these guys is how you get unalived, good luck and be safe out there my guy, keep it up but be careful the mafia are saints compared to what that community will do to protect the brand
The antihero podcast explains it best about the difference in stories and about how they don’t match up. Whether we know who the shooter is or not, the inconsistencies in robs story make it easy to convince me otherwise that Rob did not shoot the initial shot into UBL
The official government story is inconsistent. If Bin Laden was killed at Abbottabad it was likely a permissive ingress. Also disposal of Bin Laden's body was witnessed by no one on the Carl Vinson aircraft carrier who is willing to say so. The story of a hostile ingress into Pakistan, and being chased by the Pak air force on the way out is not consistent with a US aircraft flying over Pakistan the next day on the way to the Carl Vinson in the Indian Ocean.
It wasn't Bin Laden that was killed. Osama died in Operation Anaconda in the mountains from kidney malfunction. No pictures, no videos, no public proof Bin Laden was killed in Abbotabad. All done to re-elect Barry Soetoro.
I love when people that weren’t there think they know what actually happened hopefully this guy is a retired cop could you imagine him pulling you over
Maybe it peeved him at first. I would say he probably could care less. His team knows the truth and that's all that probably matters. The solid work continues.
Matt im a fan. But rob didnt panic and switch any story. Dont embellish. It doesnt matter he never said certain things before. Hes never told the story to people calling him a liar. He told the story to reporters and shit. So sure youll get more detail from him.
Jay, you have my respect for covering this subject. It's a touchy subject with most Americans. I remember the messed up photoshop image of dead Bin Laden on the news when this was happening. In the book, they said Bin Ladens head was cracked in half and they had to mush it back together to take conformation pictures. It didn't make sense. The whole burial at sea to keep him from being a martyr? my Muslim friends said that's the most ridiculous thing they've ever heard. Just lots of weird shit
It’s because Osama bin Laden had been dead for years and the Corrupt Barry Sotoro aka Barack Obama administration needed a win so they faked bin Ladens death. There was a Pakistani parliament member, who was a woman that gave an interview for the news saying bin Laden had died a few years earlier from complications from diabetes. She was found deceased a week later. The Whole World Is A Stage…
@@GATOR_MCLUSKY Rob just canoed ol' Bin's dead head in half, meaning not only he didn't kill him but made it much more difficult to positively identify who it was.

After every mission that includes raids, ambushes, reconnaissance, hostage rescue etc the Team conducts an immediate Hotwash/debrief. Each member openly contributes to it and discusses their part and even tells if they failed or that they need improvement on their TTPs. Killing or capturing UBL was the main target and the singular focus/decisive action of this mission. The DEVGRU Squadron/Team would have confirmed this during the hotwash and O'Neill would have claimed then that he killed UBL, period. Great podcast and keep up this important investigation!!
The person nickname is Red, the Real Deal. The other teammates who were there really knows who the lead was and I'm pretty sure the point man would shoot first, before any other seal that entered.
You mean Operation Anaconda? Which included 82nd Airborne, Delta, CIA and Northern Alliance. My son served on that mission and were told to stand down when they had Bin Laden in their sights close to the Pakistan border!
Are you referring when they turned their backs and went in hard on him because he was initially talking about being a SEAL on his channel? He addressed that in an interview and then I also saw another interview where another SEAL stated that if they don't like a guy because he's not popular or doesn't join in socially much with the rest of the team, they tend to single him out and turn their back on him. He also suggested that it seems some don't like when someone like Mr. Ballen gets very popular and successful after leaving the teams. Instead of being supportive and having their back. Mr. Ballen admitted he was never really a drinker and I think maybe that had something to do with the lack of socializing with his team, which many may already be aware drinking together is just part of the culture, when they are not training or getting ready for a mission. 🤔 Unless they literally DID beat him with a broomstick? Which I would not be that surprised about. Worse things have happened within the teams (or so I've heard).
There is also more than meets the eye to the EDDIE GALLEGHER story. No one ever gives the other guys a chance to speak about it on all the major podcasts. That's why the Rob O'niel story is a fairy tale .
I am all about band of Brothers. I completely understand however, I also know that you never leave someone behind. It’s damaging to unit morale and also has the effect I’m not making people want to fight. The same thing with saving someone from a very bad, sucking chest wound, helping them within the golden hour. If marines, sailors, airman, or soldiers know that their brothers will be there regardless then they will all fight with happy hearts. But now it seems that the military is nothing more than crabs in a bucket, and that’s because the genie of the sign of professional was led out of the bottle. There’s so much that I would like to say
When I learned cqb if you fire shots you follow those shots so you can confirm what you hit. I just find it weird that if the point man fired rounds through the "olive drab curtain " he would have been the 1st through.....

I have to say this take down effort of another soldier is really low. It just reeks of weakness and spite. Dissecting everything Rob O’Neill said as literal and infallible. At 18:19 Rob didn’t mean he said “okay I’m back.” What he was saying (and I’ve seen many of his interviews) was- he was thinking to himself “okay I’m back.” No place did he say he literally said it out loud. That dude doesn't want to be known to anyone so the few people from ST6 who know, will never give him up because he was the best of them. Red was probably Rob O'Neil. He had red hair. The plot thickens
If O'Neal didn't get him why hasn't anyone that was that was on the mission actually gone on recorded and say no he didn't do and this person did plus this guy even says the only reason he's going after O'Neal is to get the attention of the seal brass to open up his friends murder case so this is just some grandstanding for attention so how am I supposed to believe someone calling someone a liar just for the attention to bring your friends death up

Its been a while since i watched the podcast but I believe he says Red is the point man and Matt was the second guy through the door. His story of Red talking to Khalid is the best part and you can hear it in his voice when he tells the story.

That story should have remained confidential.
I agree
100%. Should have let the rumors and mystery run wild with no one ever knowing how Bin Laden died and who did it.
@@GreenBeretChroniclesjust like no one said who shot down Yamamoto in WW2

@@MM-qi5mklol the person who shot down Yamamoto is known though . He was given sole credit for rhe kill after originally sharing credit with another pilot . Lieutenant Rex D Barber shot down Yamamoto in his p38 and returned to base with over 100 bullet holes in his plane lol

The govt put O’Neill up the claims They wanted a face to go along with the story Needed a hero for the time Seal community was getting bad press and this hero story made them forget it
And you know this how? What do you have to back your claim?
Alone at Dawn is a great book
Great show guys, keep up the good work.

His approach to questioning Rob was genius.

@@fishgang2023 That's called being tough now a days
I remember the first time I heard Rob O’Neil’s account of the events on the OBL raid on the Adam Carolla podcast. He said some things that didn’t add up to me especially when Rob was saying when they were breaching the door he was worried that would blow their cover, AFTER the helicopter had crashed in the yard. I would have thought a crashed helicopter would make a lot of noise no matter how stealthy it was. Something about the story didn’t sit right me especially how the rest of the team, that didn’t retire and write a book, were stuck on a helicopter that got shot down.
Breach his position inside the house
And how O'Neil was pulled off that helicopter just before it left. Strange how that happened
Great content Brother's 👍
Long retired as an Aidman and, am always interested in the facts of any matter.
The first thing I learned in the military was teamwork. It was pounded into our heads every day. Any vet that steps out from his unit to take credit, is a vet I’d never have on my team
Jay and Matt,, please keep up the good work i respect you both 🇺🇸
It’s sad that being a team leader in devgru and being on the raid wasn’t enough, he had to steal the credit too.
Need proof that Cubbler heard that debrief. Total bullfeces. His desire for retribution by “exposing lies” has a tainted goal.
Thank you
I personally can’t stand Matt for many different reasons. No way he heard the debrief.
Yeahhhh sure you did…
He got some many facts wrong about Robert's Ridge, that he is either challenged as a researcher, or has ulterior motives
He’s full of it. He was part of the most corrupt organization in history Law Enforcement and how he can question anyone puzzles me
ST6 should not tell the names of people and where they are in any op. If O’Neil did not pull the trigger who did?
Going after these guys is how you get unalived, good luck and be safe out there my guy, keep it up but be careful the mafia are saints compared to what that community will do to protect the brand
The antihero podcast explains it best about the difference in stories and about how they don’t match up. Whether we know who the shooter is or not, the inconsistencies in robs story make it easy to convince me otherwise that Rob did not shoot the initial shot into UBL
You guys have my utmost respect and honor. May our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ bless you always. DOL, RLTW

Jay, you have my respect for covering this subject. It's a touchy subject with most Americans. I remember the messed up photoshop image of dead Bin Laden on the news when this was happening.

Look what they did to mr ballen. The beat him up with a broom stick
Yuuuuup
What happened? Was it while he was in or out? He’s one hell of a story teller
Unless they literally DID beat him with a broomstick? Which I would not be that surprised about. Worse things have happened within the teams (or so I've heard).

That dude doesn't want to be known to anyone so the few people from ST6 who know, will never give him up because he was the best of them. Red was probably Rob O'Neil. He had red hair.
