Apparently I’d had add since childhood but was not diagnosed until my mid forties. It was truly life changing. It’s almost as if my life finally made sense. Losing items, inability to finish projects, why I was the only one trying to finish my math problems while my schoolmates were at recess and the list goes on. I realized why I had all these workarounds and safeguards in place to cope with life. I got some good meds and they have helped a lot. I still struggle but at least I know why.

He narrated the book really well, but he describes tons of missions, and of course the ultimate mission: Neptune Spear. You feel like you're watching these missions as they are happening. He describes the SEAL training, etc..... brilliantly done. Great interview here by Joe Budden.

I think that DJ Vlad or Adam22 or The Breakfast Club would have done a better job at interviewing Rob O' Neil than Joe Budden did. There were some parts in the interview that were painful to watch because you could see that Joe doesn't really keep up on world affairs, history, military matters and geopolitics and that's fine but if you're going to being interviewing someone where you're likely going to be discussing all of these things then it might be a good idea to do some research beforehand.

The Navy investigated him to see if he shared any classified info from the mission in his book. lol no your wrong. In an interview, the interviewer directs the subject of said interview. They do so by asking questions that will explain, fill in, and CONFIRM that what the person claims is valid. He has no one to confirm his story, or even back up a single word. He doesn't list a single name of anyone else involved, so you cant even validate his words by asking someone else. This is not a interview. It is a random guy that they posted telling a tall tale. Real military operations are much more elaborate and planned out.

I cannot fail to appreciate Rob O'Neill for his tremendous capability in creating stories. What he narrates isnt even remotely similar to what happened that day, or what the SEALs official report reads. Truly amazing creativity, well done, his fiction book about the events has brought great entertainment to people.
Surprisingly- I ask civilian friends what they think about the man and the story- immediate response is all positive, but if discussed thoroughly most civilians I talk to can tell that something is not right. They just can't point out exactly what is wrong with the story. One Detective friend commented- "He lies a lot during interviews. The speech patterns and nonverbal cues are obvious."

I've worked with SEALs, Rangers, BORSTAR, PJ's, and a few others - they are are all individuals, but I will say one thing that stands out about everyone one of them is their ability to clearly communicate VERY quickly. It's too much for a lot of people to deal with as it comes across as aggressive, but you can learn a lot from just listening to these guys talk.
This dude is a complete damn liar and taking a dead teams credit. The heli that raided the compound was shot down after killing Osama and no one even survived.
You can tell he gets excited recounting this. Decades later he still feels the adrenaline. Thats crazy! He does a great job controlling it though and checking himself.

What I love most about Rob, which I have heard in his book too, is that he is so quick to acknowledge everyone that is involved in any operation. He never fails to mention the support people that the trigger-pullers rely on to do their jobs. He has mentioned Navy sailors that ensure the ships run that get the SEALs to their destinations, the pilots, the maintenance and equipment personnel that do all the thankless work behind the scenes. That, my friends, is a true pro in my books.

He narrated the book really well, but he describes tons of missions, and of course the ultimate mission: Neptune Spear. You feel like you're watching these missions as they are happening. He describes the SEAL training, etc..... brilliantly done. Great interview here by Joe Budden.

I think that DJ Vlad or Adam22 or The Breakfast Club would have done a better job at interviewing Rob O' Neil than Joe Budden did. There were some parts in the interview that were painful to watch because you could see that Joe doesn't really keep up on world affairs, history, military matters and geopolitics and that's fine but if you're going to being interviewing someone where you're likely going to be discussing all of these things then it might be a good idea to do some research beforehand.

Gray Maybe....this is not even close to the first time he has told this story.... He told his story shortly after the mission after the other SEAL claimed to have killed Bin Laden...This guy even wrote a book about it... The Navy investigated him to see if he shared any classified info from the mission in his book. Supposedly the reason he retired after this was because the senior leadership of the Navy was so mad he wrote a book about it ( against protocall ) that they told him he would not receive any further promotions in his career. Incredible story overall.

This is how an interview is supposed to work. You let the person talk without constantly cutting them off.
lol no your wrong. In an interview, the interviewer directs the subject of said interview. They do so by asking questions that will explain, fill in, and CONFIRM that what the person claims is valid. He has no one to confirm his story, or even back up a single word. He doesn't list a single name of anyone else involved, so you cant even validate his words by asking someone else. This is not a interview. It is a random guy that they posted telling a tall tale. Real military operations are much more elaborate and planned out.

Kinda hard to make that up. And he’s not naming names because many of those guys are still active and some probably don’t want their names out there. Rob just wants what way too many have gotten, and that’s recognition. It’s not supposed to be this way. Everything is supposed to be secret but the many cats are out of the bag. Besides who can blame him. He killed the most wanted person ever in the history of the US. But, believe what you want.

I cannot fail to appreciate Rob O'Neill for his tremendous capability in creating stories. What he narrates isnt even remotely similar to what happened that day, or what the SEALs official report reads. Truly amazing creativity, well done, his fiction book about the events has brought great entertainment to people.
Surprisingly- I ask civilian friends what they think about the man and the story- immediate response is all positive, but if discussed thoroughly most civilians I talk to can tell that something is not right. They just can't point out exactly what is wrong with the story. One Detective friend commented- "He lies a lot during interviews. The speech patterns and nonverbal cues are obvious."

I've worked with SEALs, Rangers, BORSTAR, PJ's, and a few others - they are are all individuals, but I will say one thing that stands out about everyone one of them is their ability to clearly communicate VERY quickly. It's too much for a lot of people to deal with as it comes across as aggressive, but you can learn a lot from just listening to these guys talk.
This dude is a complete damn liar and taking a dead teams credit. The heli that raided the compound was shot down after killing Osama and no one even survived.
The pace he talks is like a machine gun. You would almost think he's got ADHD which I suppose is not the case if you're a navy seal.

What I love most about Rob, which I have heard in his book too, is that he is so quick to acknowledge everyone that is involved in any operation. He never fails to mention the support people that the trigger-pullers rely on to do their jobs. He has mentioned Navy sailors that ensure the ships run that get the SEALs to their destinations, the pilots, the maintenance and equipment personnel that do all the thankless work behind the scenes. That, my friends, is a true pro in my books.
