    • @Eyeofkamau
      @Eyeofkamau ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Yupthereitism I’m not being dramatic at all. In fact, I’d say it’s you being dramatic, since you’d go the length to insinuate I need to be better when all I did was speak on the reality of a camera’s weakness, even after I said it’s still a great camera and the RO speed won’t affect some shooting styles.
      An interesting statement by you, honestly, because one - it’s understandable you’d think that and two - you’re neither right nor wrong lol.
      Any cinematographer would use what they have and base their shots according to their camera’s limitations, myself included. If I absolutely needed to, I would use this camera if I didn’t have access to another, and I would form my shotlist according to it. But it doesn’t matter how good of a cinematographer you are… a 22ms readout speed will not render motion well, especially when panning, or better yet.. whip panning. In fact, one wouldn’t even need to pan… if you were filming out of a car window at 45mph and a light pole that was 10 meters away passed through the frame perpendicular to the direction the camera is pointing, it would look like the leaning tower of pisa, as well as any other parallels around the same distance in frame. That’s one example. It can affect something as simple as a subject waving a flag, with the appearance of the flags shaft being warped.
      For those reasons, and many others, cinematographers will upgrade from cameras like these to cameras with sub 10ms RO speeds, because they simply render basic motion better.

    • @chrisjmedia
      @chrisjmedia ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Eyeofkamau I totally agree with you and thought about the same that the rolling shutter has such a huge impact on the motion rendering but on the other hand the bmpcc6k has also a pretty bad and slow shuttter, though the image coming from this camera is insanely beautiful. so i think it's not just the rolling shutter. I personally don’t like vertical video because it ruins composition.
      I’m such a sucker for creative story telling through composition but I may also just be a whiney baby about it hahaha
