Lets open up the floor for discussion! What pad are you guys playing with right now and with what game?
I use cloth with high DPI & low in-game sensitivity. If use hard surfice Ill have to lower (change) my sensitivity. Consistency is better than mouse pads.
Using the otsu now trying a zero Monday when it gets delivered, play Valorant and Warzone. Otsu is my favorite so far! (Aqua control black and Odin infinity were my pads before it)
@@n1kobg Agreed! That's why the Hien is so Zorz, feels like the best of both worlds.
@@floordtv4118 I have all of those but haven't had a chance to use them yet. Otsu seemed quite fast last time I checked but I will definitely be giving it another shot!

You're hilarious and your thoughts on the pad are spot on. I came to the same conclusions after switching to the Hien xsoft after using a qck heavy for nearly 10 years. You lose all the control you get from the qck heavy, but in games where precision isn't as important, like apex, it's really not that noticeable, and it's really fun to use the hien since it's so fast. But for games like valorant and cs:go, you'll really take a hit to performance and stability if you're used to a cloth control pad. Awesome video, wish I saw it before I bought the hien, haha. Looking forward to more content.

As somebody who owns a hien, zero, and hayate otsu v2 all in soft I think the one cloth pad to still rival artisan is the gamesense radar. The radar has the control of cloth without the static friction of a normal cloth pad. The radar is also humidity resistant like artisan pads. Worth a try if you haven't already especially with the labor day sale they have going on right now.
I'm going to be trying that one out very soon!
The Hien mid is also my favorite mousepad ever besides the skypad. Great video!

Would you have a mousepad recommendation for the starlight 12 medium? I play mostly valorant and some apex. I also currently use the Razer viper mini on 800dpi .484 sens and have a claw-ish grip.

Just for the sake of curiosity, why did you pick up the Zero XSoft instead of regular Soft version ? I've ever heard the Soft version is the safest version for Artisan pads. .. Is this related with the stopping power ?? Cheers mate
The ability to stop is supposedly increased by using the softer versions cause of the ability to push into the pad. I have all the versions but I wanted to start with the "slowest/most control" and then move up. I'm very curious to try all of them and will be doing a round up eventually!

You can combine the Zero with a very light mouse and Core Pads of even glass feet. Like you said it's in the combination. Also, Hien really eats away at the feet.
I don't have a artisan cause I live in Brazil, but i tried a lot of pads with taxtures, like longteng, mp510, equate plus, AC+ and I just can't get used to it. I don't feel confident using them, I alweays overshoot no matter the sensitivity. and I really miss the cushion. I am stuck with Tiger esports Qinsui 2, is a control pad with GSR-like surface and 6mm thick, and I love it. Maybe I will give more chances to AC+
