    If you're looking for a thick and soft pad that is very comfortable for elbows / wrists, you may wanna have a look at Fusionstrike original limestone desk mat. Been using it for 3 years personally and my friends, so far it's been great so we made a whole batch of them. Currently ship within UK but could sort out international shipment too. The rubber is made from sustainable limestone rock (instead of oil/petrol) which makes it more environmentally friendly than most desk mats out there. It's laminated with super stretch smooth nylon so it's mouse compatible and very gentle to skin.

    yesterday i bought a 2,99€ mousepad from aldi and i really like it. It's 89x40cm so i could cut it in half and have 2 normal sized XXL pads for 1,50€ each.
    The surface is very smooth polyester wich makes it a speed pad with very low static friction. From how you described the raiden it sounds pretty similar to that.
    That's exactly the type of surface that i want from a pad. I even prefer it over my LGG Venus pad which would be a mid range pad by your classification. Sure, it doesn't feel as premium because it has no stitched edges but I care more about how i perform on it and my performance on the aldi pad is already better after using it for just one day.
    This really opened my eyes how little the production cost of a mousepad really is if it's mass produced in china. From what i can tell so far quality wise the aldi pad seems on par with other much more expensive "budget" pads like the qck. After the weekend I'll try to get more of these pads from aldi because i really like the surface and 1,50€ for an XXL pad is unbeatable.

    I used to have a glorious mouse pad for 2 years. Now I have been using a madcatz glide 38 for 2 years. It a semi fast pad and is the best I have used for fps. But for me an arm sleeve is just as important, because my arms sweat very easily causing a lot of friction on any mousepad. I wish companies made a perforated teflon underside arm sleeve; better than Flashe's.

    I use a mousepad that I found in my dad's garage sink and for about 2 years now it surprisingly still works really decently, but to be fair i have never touched any other mousepad so i cant really say much if its actually good or not

    • @ottpsfj
      @ottpsfj ปีที่แล้ว

      late to the party, but for everyone: dont dive into mousepads TOO DEEP, if you have already a good mousepad, just stick to it. I was having a good mouse pad which was cheap, I bought some control and speed mousepads and i fucked up my muscle memory, currently I cant decide which one to use and most likely I will just go back to my cheap mousepad that has the best control/speed balance.
      DM Pad is pretty much good product and A4Tech X7 is also a good cheap mousepad. Changing mousepad is for me the same as messing around with in-game sensitivity. You can eventually change it and think you will perofrm better, but in reality you will not.

    • @Pipiezi
      @Pipiezi  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree you shouldn't worry too much about your mousepad, but you can't "fuck up" your muscle memory. Nothing wrong with changing sensitivities or mousepads, they don't negatively impact your performance in the long run.

    • @gravityshark580
      @gravityshark580 ปีที่แล้ว

      I forgot about this comment. I bought a new relatively cheap mousepad (i picked the largest but not desk mat size, but didn't care too much about specifics of everything else) because my old mousepad (the one in the comment) started to break apart and I had to glue it back together to continue to use it and that was kind of an hassle. On muscle memory, I already believe that it kinda doesn't exist in aiming specifically and I used to change my sensitivity depending on what I'm aim training on, like high sense on track to force control and low on static to force speed.

    Haven't watched the video yet, but I already want to say this: A couple months ago I spent €75 on a Hien, and it's not worth it at all imo. The base is not 'insanely grippy', the quality is good, but not 'the highest quality object in my house', and it barely had any impact on my gameplay. I usually play CODMW. I should've bought a cheaper pad

    • @Pipiezi
      @Pipiezi  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ow man, that sucks. Stickiness of the base really depends on the desk you're using.

  • @nikushim6665
    @nikushim6665 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    mouse pad market is mostly a gimmicky scam. End of the day its all neoprene/eva with some fabric attached. Nothing magical about it to warrant the price. Hell i still know a lot of people who don't even use softpads, preferring to stick to the old textured PTFE hard plates which are pretty much indestructible lasting decades of nonstop use. (only drawback to these is any spec of dirt on the pad is gonna grind). Softpads came about mostly for trackball use, its not something that's required for opticals.
