A Portal turret goes skydiving!

- When ThinkGeek started selling inflatable turrets I knew I had to take one out of a plane. Turns out those things are hard to get under control above 7000 feet, when the increased air pressure deflates them enough to be manageable.

*man hikes in the desert*
*"target acquired"*
*better watCH OUT-*
1,000 years from now someone will find that turret and think it's an ancient artifact of a lost civilization and I thank you for that
but it's a balloon... It would probably pop and get absorbed for nutrients..
@@supermariogamer8936 no, it will pop and then pollute! :(
BBQ Snapdragon :(
It will last a lot longer, tho.
Cave Johnson here. For science, we've taken our most popular military-grade product, the Turret on an experiment. The boys in the lab took a turret skydiving, for science. What happened? Your guess is as good as ours, because it's now lost in the Arizona Desert. Don't go looking for it. Cave Johnson, we're done here.
Imagine being stuck in the Desert, Then all of the sudden, You just hear
*"Target Acquired."*
I watched this video, and four days later, Wheatley spotted an inflatable turret in low earth orbit nearby us.
Space Core HA
hey space core, in 15 years we can live in space :3
I wish they can do with GLaDOS and tape me to her face
*looks through google maps to find turret*
man hikes in the desert
"target acquired"
TheNorskViking lok
Me too,i lee the portal turrets
did you find it?
R.I.P turret
R.I.P 😢
YOU MONSTER! I wonder what a person who found it thought about it :P
Piotrek Mazek Nice shitty, outdated meme of a profile picture.
That Turtle's A Spy! nice shitty, "oudatted" failure of an insult to a 7 months old comment
to this day, that lonely turret is still wandering around the Arizona deserts
“I’m flying!” “Im afraid of heights”
It's for science!
Braden Johnson I see you are related to Cave Johnson?
You missed the best line: "I'm afraid of heights!"
this is what scientists do when there not working
They're***
lol
You know this was probably part of testing XD
@@Jordan-jn1vj "Cave Johnson here. Now, if your on this Aperture Science Flying Device, your part of the turret experiment. We're throwing turrets out of a plane, while you hold the turret. Why? For science! Well, and also to test how durable you, and the turret is. Mostly the turret. The turrets are fully loaded, but don't worry. You have bulletproof vests, made out of spare Weighted Companion Cubes."
The turret says,"I'M FLYING!"
no someone's walking in the desert and sees it and the turn to start shooting
XD
1/10 turrent danger... no parachute attached to turrent.
Axvrilia *turret
Pryxtel its spelt turret
I mean, when it fell it became a turrent.
next do wheatley in space
SpeedOfHarmony yes!
I'm literally feeling emotional for the turret right now. Rest in piece, Cute Turret Plushie! You will always be remembered! (Except for the guy who let go of you because he's a jerk)
Rip turret
Please put me down (ok! *leave turret in desert*)
Well that explains the random object fell on tent -__-
Maybe in a couple hundred years, the future humans will find the turret, and they will think that we worshiped it. Idk, just a thought.
I started singing in my head when they were playing "Still Alive" at the end.
Legend says, that turret is still flying random in the desert even today
Poor turrent
Aaah, the things poeple do for science.
The smartest thing one has EVER done in his life... go skydiving with turrets.
BRILLIANT!
I like the idea of someone just coming across that whilst out hiking in the desert. I'm not sure it would be better if they knew Portal or not.
after Aperture faded into obscurity, many turrets had acquired different careers after leaving Aperture. this is one of those stories.
Nobody: My recommendations at 3AM:
So that's why I found a turret on google maps
UNKNOWNGAM3r Fuck off, you didn't, and this is a shitty joke.
That Turtle's A Spy!
god thats a lot salt
poor rturret
imagine portal 3 takes place in the arizona desert, then some new character finds it, picks it up gets captured, and at the end of the game they are re-united
I absolutely love the music
just realize, the turrets doing science cause its still alive
The long-fall boots really would have come in handy here.
pick up a copy of et for me, while your there...
Now let the Turret hunt begin
You are brilliant, my good sir. You hear me Valve? USE THIS IDEA!!!
Someone needs to go on a rescue mission to save that turret
I don't know which I'm more impressed by. Someone actually doing through with this, or they managed to hold onto it for so long
"I'm flying!"
I'm pretty sure Space Core will love this! :D
I think this guy got totally baked on 4/20 and was like "DUDE LET'S GO SKYDIVING WITH ONE OF THOSE INFLATABLE PORTAL TURRETS"
3 days later, Farmer Brown is going to get a painful surprise.
0:33 What GLaDOS sees when Chell steps on an Aerial Faith Plate while holding a turret.
I need this party mix of "Still Alive"
The turret even said “put me down”
would probably be someone who has never heard of portal and assumes it to be part of an alien crash site.
I wonder if that turret landed on its legs
Gotta go there and look for it
science is fun bruh
It's people like you that make me continually hope to just find something like this on the ground one day, like if you were to drop it or something :P
YOU BROKE THE RULES!!!
Gabe: Scrap Half-Life 3 and make a skydiving simulator involving turrets.
Valve Team: Yes Lord Master Gabe Newell Sir.
Logic: something exists -> take it out of a plane.
*invent planes*
*invents turrets*
almeister112: Why not use both!?
Battlefield : Future War Tatics
That is the other jumper that was with him. You can see blue on the sides and white in the middle of the chute.
When life gives you lemons, DON'T MAKE LEMONADE. Take the lemons back and take turrets to the next level...skydiving
I kinda want to go out to the middle of the Arizona desert to find this little guy.
guy walks up.
Turret: Helloooo? Are you still there?
Wheatly: oh, uh, don't make eye contact just keep walking
Haha imagine someone who played portal finding that turret lying around in the desert.
Thanks Kotaku!
My god! I did not suspect such things could be
Free inflatable Turret, just have to find it in the desert.
This is a triumph.
Nice landing.
This was a triumph.
awesome!
Space core: ARE WE IN SPACE
BLOODY STOP
rip turret
If you find it, please contact to Aperture Science in somewhere in internet
since it is inflated to a pressure good for 7k feet, then wouldn't it pop when it reached a greater pressure?
Nice landing
You know, because jumping out of planes with things = lulz. Doing it for the lulz is the best reason to do anything random.
How do you think they got it up there without getting hurt?
this seems to be a needlessly complicated way how to destroy a turret
Turret: WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?!
Me: YOLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
guy in the vid: *lets go*
me: *gasp!* WHAT DID YOU DO!?
This is what valve do when not making portal 3
your my 1000th faved video!!!!!
Aperture Science approved.
Next time, space core in space !
Next: Gabe Newell, after that, 1000 Potato batteries
WE HAVE TO GO FIND IT!!
When they landed they found a small wooden house... The entrance to Aperture Science.
mom: is that a fly ticket? where r u going
me: yeah brb
The Logic si that he Can say that He Took a portal Turret Skydiving
Now to do this with the Space core XD
Can't wait till someone finds him/her
Please reply if u did I want to look for it
I'm going looking for it right now. Wish me luck!
whats the name of that still alive remix @the end?
In a cornfield? Near a tin hut? I would be seriously scared
Shoul've brought the companion cube too!
Bye mom! I'm going out to the arizona desert to find a portal turret ... I'll be back in a few weeks!
My friend told me about this. We were like, "WE GOTTA GO SAVE HIM D8!"
Random guy used Seismic Toss! It's Super Effective! Portal Turret fainted.
Cave Johnson here. For this next test we're going to throw a turret out of plane. I gotta be honest, we're just throwing science at the wall here to see what sticks. No idea what this will do.
Heck, I'll do it. I'm already in Arizona so I don't have too far to travel
