The jump featured in this video was completed in 2012.
The jump that then broke the record set in 2012 was done in 2014.
Where did you get the idea from that the record was broken again only 4 days later?

The older gentleman ( now sadly passed) who was advisor on this jump is Joseph Kittinger who held the record for a staggering 53 years. Unbelievably his freefall from 102,000 feet made in 1960 lasted all this time, until 2012. This man should never, ever be forgotten if we are to celebrate these feats. And he did it alone. What a man to have on your team to break the record. Felix is incredible but Joseph was equally so. And such a cool calm dude

For those calling this fake because he did not catch fire upon entry, it is because his velocity was not nearly high enough to compress the air in front of him, which is what causes meteorites to generate their fiery shell. This man just fell from the upper atmosphere with a top speed of around 843.6 mph, whereas meteorites can often travel upwards of 90,000 mph with a much greater surface area.

      Gotta remember-
The speed of sound is relative to air density. In the extremely thin air of the outer surface of the atmosphere, sound travels much more slowly, so the sound barrier might happen between 150 to 200 mph. At sea level, under standard day conditions, the sound barrier is around 760 mph.

Just watched the no-chute skydive from 25,000 ft.
The most impressive part was actually hitting the 30 x 30 metre net from that altitude, since it initially presented a target less than 0.25 degrees wide.
However, it's worth noting that his speed at impact would have been the _same_ if he had jumped from only 2000 ft (the "miracle" of terminal velocity!), but it would make hitting the target much easier.

I'm sure the producers thought "It will make the earth seem rounder and that will be more dramatic cause it looks like we're high up". I am not a flat earther, but you can clearly see the curve you see in the video is from the fish eye lens.
