It's funny because aperture did design the HEV suit and the gravity gun because in the rat man comic you can see in the background and cave Johnson does say they stole his stuff so the long fall boots must have gone along with that set also the portal gun has its own gravity gun built in just the pick up part.

The boots probably have some ultra-advanced gyroscope technology inside of them, leading to the theory that even though the camera doesn't move, Chell is rotating and hitting the wall feet first. This is also why you rotate upright when exiting a portal upside-down.
I just remembered, in Portal you have advanced knee replacements instead of the long fall boots. I'm guessing that the long fall boots use the same technology as the knee replacements, or Chell is just landing feet first.

Great video, also i noticed you haven't got activated windows, but i think, you're doing a right thing, because microsoft is not treating us how we were in the 2000s and 90s (also probably 80s), so i think not activating windows 10 is okay for me.
To be real here, the game bugged due to the infinite amount of rocket sentries, when they all shoot, there is too many projectiles the game could load so it just decides the easy way out, crashing.
mate this guy just places portals without even thinking and he doesn't fail i think a lot on where to place portals and i end up completing the test at the 10th attempt

The boots are designed to protect the gun, not the test subject so smashed torsos, arms and heads are fine so long as the gun is okay
