Mr. Spanner---Your videos are simply terrific! I've been running chainsaws for forty years and I still learn something from your videos every time I watch. I prefer not to use the grinder because it eats up saw chain, but when you hit rocks or need to take all the cutters down after a period of some irregular filing, then they are the best.

How do you dress the wheels that come with the Stihl USG grinder? These are meant to be asymmetrical but I found it really hard to work out which side should face the motor, even using the supplied profile guide. I don’t know whether they come symmetrical and you are supposed to profile them yourself?

The Husqvarna progressive depth gage is good too.
I have those as well but they are less aggressive than the stihl gauge. Also the Stihl is much harder 62 HRC Rockwell.
I wish the sthil progressive depth gauges were available in the US

I dress them asymmetrical and always just a nice U shape
You can dress they with the normal U shape works 100%
