The fact that Conde Nast RATHER just let them quit and hire more POC for less money, instead of just PAYING THEM A FAIR WAGE speaks volumes. The fact that you even rather just ruin your reputation like this, let half of your video staff quit, and stop the channel altogether says so much. You want to profit off of POCs cultures and people, but not pay them back fairly? Crazy.
You are misinformed, everyone has gotten a paycheck. Everyone has gotten their salary, the problem here is that people of color did not get paid for being on camera. Everyone NOW has been offered a contract, and they decided if they wanted to stay with the company and receive money for being on camera with their contract. Some refused their contract and decide to move on and stay with the company, while others decided to leave the company altogether. If they decide to post videos on their channel they're going to do it anyway, you're not giving them any ideas. Sorry you're so pissed off about nothing. You are just a fan, you should try to relax.

The fact that Conde Nast still offered a bad contract instead of a fair one is still wrong. I'm allowed to be upset as a fan, idk what "ideas" I'm giving them? @Claire Praska: Just curious, who are the three chefs left?
Claire’s “splash of vanilla extract” is her “two shots of vodka” lmfao
And thats Molly's "A dash of salt"
Everyone saying quarantine has ruined Chris. I'm over here digging his sass and off-the-cuff attitude.
bein' stuck in the house with your kids all day every day is bound to make most anyone a lil* sassy.
*the degree of sassy one becomes varies due to amount of children and their unruliness.
Personally, I like the sassy chris.

Came back to watch the last video that was actually good
Imagining Sohla as a 4 yr old baking and singing happy birthday to herself is just beyond adorable.
Really brings out her cheerful Dora the Explorer vibe, right?
She's so adorable now; she must have been incredibly cute as a 4 year old
When she said that, I felt my heart warming. 🤣
Video idea: I'd love to know what everyone did before BA and how they ended up there 😁 maybe while cooking their fav/most meaningful dish?
This is an underrated comment.
Chris was actually at Vogue as a scheduler, IIRC. He had chef'd during college, went to cooking school while at CN and transferred.
Sohla had a restaurant with Ham, it went under, she was at Serious Eats for a bit. Bad experience there, came to BA.
Molly had been a line cook, did some food stuff for movies, came to BA.
Im pretty sure there was some small talk about what some of them did in the chefs react video. I do think a full video would be cool though
Def this. Career history. Highs and lows. Spill the beans.
While I know there to be plenty of info for most of them if you look around online (several of them have Wikipedia pages for a place to start), I'd personally really love a mini-series that gives each a chance to, in turn, deep dive their own history and tell any funny stories or stories about things that shaped or changed them.
Update: They have broken Chris. Also. Zhuzh. That's the spelling. Don't overthink it.
isn’t it tszuj?
Zhuzh is fascinating to me. As far as I know, it's an American word that is made entirely of sounds that have no way to be written. None of our letters have any standard way to represent those sounds.
I thought it was juj
mmm i don't like that
@Maria Tarek Urban Dictionary's second definition of zhuzh written in 2016 is a beautiful coincidence.
Yikes. Why haven't I heard of this earlier? Why, BA, why...
Ok, but now that BA is under new management and they've hired many new staff, is it safe to uncancel BA? Are they paying their new Chefs equitably?
@000 Yeah, and I'm following them in their new endeavours, but I'm wondering if it's worth watching the new talent and their videos.
Why doesn't sohla have a dedicated segment of her being a food scientist and creating crazy new kinds of foods??
I think she is too valuable in her job of cross testing recipes.
Yes. Even if they’re fails I want to see the process
I need this content in my life.
we've seen a little glimpse of it in the carbonara video, but a dedicated show is definitely welcomed
Isn't that the point of being a test kitchen chef? Also I think one reason why Sohla hasn't gotten her own show is because everyone wants her help on theirs.

What do you mean, A birthday cake? ;)
"I don't know why my parents allowed it!" Well if I had to guess, I would say it's all those cakes they got to eat without having to bake or decorate.
@@givememore4free I think maybe you are taking my comment too seriously and I hope you're not going around the comments section trying to start something with everyone. I know exactly what happened, so I'm not sure why you're assuming I dont. They weren't getting paid fairly for on camera appearances, they got offered a contract that STILL wasn't fair. You can check their personal IG for that information regarding the contract. Thats why they decided to leave BA video (not not BA entirely). I no where said that they weren't getting paid at all. The fact that Conde Nast still offered a bad contract instead of a fair one is still wrong. I'm allowed to be upset as a fan, idk what "ideas" I'm giving them? Unless you're reading way too deep into my comment. Fans are allowed to be upset, without fans BA/conde nast do not have money to do any of this in general.

Okay. As a corner-loving person.... i love this. How come i have not done this myself.
Using a muffin tin will make every piece q corner piece
I have a star silicon mold and it's PERFECT for corners. To bad I'm a center-loving person
Maëva B silicone moulds are actually terrible for corners. They don’t transfer as much heat as metal, so you actually end up with softer edges. If you don’t like corners, best thing would be a circular silicone mould. Conversely, for maximum corner-ness I’d recommend a aluminium star shaped cake pan.
