2014 US Focus owner here, I'm still saddened by the loss of the Focus in the US market, and a shame it will end production in 2025. I honestly think it would make sense to make a next-gen Focus all-electric by then for Europe.

Deutlich kürzer Übersetzt als die alte 8 Gang Wandlerautomatik. Nur schade das der 1.5er Ecoboost dafür weichen musste. Der Motor war ein Sahnestück. Auch wenn er mit der Wandler ordentlich verbraucht hat.
hab noch den 1.6 liter mit 182PS......... ecoboost 2011 ford focus - gibts leider auch nicht mehr

Again (typical for Ford, Renault, basically anything in the EU besides VAG/Merc/BMW) really short gears for a 7 speed DCT...why dont the use the 7th as an Overdrive like the other ones mentioned? Another point is the lack of a Ventilation outlet for the rear seats which should be standard in this class...since Ford has gotten in the price range of Škoda and Seat this really baffels me
It's a small 3cylinder engine, 3000 rpm at 140km/h is actually decent and it shouldn't stress the engine that much.
Ford Focus is at the end of its lifecycle, it will no longer be produced so no need for them to add extra features to this model. Nevertheless, I know its sad but every manufacturer decides what to include in their vehicles, depending on what they think it better suits them. The Focus used to have and I think this model has too a ventilation system for the rear seats but its under the front seats, not on the center console. Skoda and Seat are both VAG vehicles so they share the same vw,skoda,seat ventilation system, so much easier for them to implement this in their cars. These are all gimmiks and even though its sad to see them missing from some vehicles, you have pick the all around best one for you. I'd never compare a Skoda to a Ford if we talk about the all around car feeling and quality because Ford do offer some really cool things in their vehicles.

Geschmeidige 12,5 Liter pfeift sich dieses winzige Motörchen bei konstant 180 also rein. Etwas mehr als beim 2,5x so großen Sechszylinder (m)eines inzwischen konstruktiv fast 3 Jahrzehnte alten BMW M52B25 - Motors aus einem 523i E39. Prost.
Kann der alte 523i auch 4,8 bei 100km/h? 😁

Das ist ja ganz normal - durch den kleinen Hubraum verschiebt man den optimalen Betriebspunkt des Motors in einen niedrigeren Geschwinidgkeitsbereich, durch die Aufladung holt man sich fehlende Kraft zurück. Den Ecoboost kann man bei ruhiger Überlandfahrt tatsächlich mit einer 4 vorm Komma fahren und selbst bei Kurzstrecke in der Stadt wirds kaum mehr als eine 6, bei den mildhybriden tendenziell sogar noch etwas weniger. Da kann der alte 6 Zylinder auch mal doppelt so viel schlucken. Ab einer gewissen Last (Geschwindigkeit) verlässt man dieses Effizienzmaximum dann schon wieder während ein viel größerer Motor gerade erst dort hin kommt. Bei z.B. 180kmh brauchen dann beide gleich viel, quetscht man das Letzte aus dem kleinen Turbo raus fängt er dann u.U. sogar an mehr zu schlucken.
@@Digi20 Genau meine Erfahrungen - ich vergleiche immer mit den Fahrzeugen aus meiner Arbeit (Autovermietung, überwiegend aktuelle Modelle). Wenn ich mit meinem alten BMW mal rein städtisch fahre, was sehr selten vorkommt (dafür nehme ich normalerweise den Motorroller oder das Fahrrad), lande ich bei sparsamster Fahrweise bei etwa 8,5 bis 9 Liter (mehrfach getestet im Urlaub in Südfrankreich bei tropischen Temperaturen). Im aktuellen Gesamtdurchschnitt über 31135 km sind es aktuell genau 6,95 Liter E10 / 100 km, und dies inkludiert auch ein paar wenige sehr flotte Langstreckenfahrten. Wenn man bedenkt, dass so ein 523i E39 trotz Leichtbauweise und seit einigen Jahren grassierender Fettleibigkeit neuerer Pkw immer noch rund 4 Zentner schwerer ist, und einem unterhalb von 2000 U/min. nicht die Ohren mit unfassbar lauten Dröhngeräuschen malträtiert, finde ich den Verbrauch angemessen.

@@francescoformato7093 ma così tanto non credo… Comunque ricontrollando forse neanche 8.02. Secondo me si aggirerà tra i 8.4/9.0. Su carwow dava 8.7 se non sbaglio, quindi con l’automatico dovresti essere un pochino sotto. Poi dipende anche da com’è uscita la macchina.
The range u wrote doesnt fit with the car range😂😂😂
its only calculated range, 52 Liter fuel tank and for example all the way only 100 kmh you get 4.8 liter so 52/4.8 liter is 10.83 *100= 1083 km range at full tank.
on display range is because it depends how you drive last maybe 30 min and the tank wasnt full.
