just imagine if the system would have been hard braking because it has detected a fake dangerous situation. Hard braking, at that speed, on a downhill while turning left...

3 F150 Fords at the roundabout? Did know they were that popular in Europe, always thought people there considered them too large for the narrow streets. But great acceleration for just 155hp, nice top speed as well. I have a 2020 Ford Fietsa 1.0 EcoBoost 100 Hp. And it really pulls nicely for what it is as well, I would never have guessed its just 100 Hp by how nicely it pulls, it feels more like 120hp. I'm planning on getting a full exhaust, down pipe and tune (+Maybe an upgraded intercooler) to hopefully raise power to around 160- 170 Hp with around 260 to 280Nm of Torque. I've seen people go further, like 180 hp with over 300Nm, but for reliability sake I don't want to go that far, even though those people claimed they've never had a problem. It should really turn the 1100kg little car into quite the nippy little daily driver.

Just watch the headgasket. If anything will go on the 1.0l 100bph then its that. They apparently put on a slightly better headgasket for the 125 and 155 (not sure about the hybrid models) in order to improve reliability with the higher power output. So if you do map it, thats the point of concern. Ofc just make sure you scour the forums before you take the plunge (I have one myself, 1.0T 100bph in a fiesta stline. Soon to be sold unfortunately)
@@TheBritishMatt Hmmm thats odd. I personally had different findings about the mechanical differences between the 100hp amd 125 hp versions. I talked to the guys at Ford when i picked up my 2020 Fiesta those few months ago, as well as to a local Tuning company that i got a quote from. And according to them both the 100 and 125 Horsepower versions are 100% mechanically identical, the 125 Hp version just has an overboost when you accelerate hard. The 100Hp version is just restricted more from the factory by means of ECU mapping. Apparently it's for marketing reasons in order to make the Upper trim level Fiestas such as the Titanium and new Vignale even more appealing and worth their higher price point at no real extra cost. I did although find that apparently the 100, and 125 Hp variants are abit different than the 140 Hp versions. The 140 Hp models have the same Gearbox and Clutch, but more sporty gear ratios, and it apparently has a slightly thicker head gasket according to moat people on forums. But this id for the MK8 Fiesta, its different in the MK7, apparently there the 100hp version had a small turbo, and the 125 and 140 hp versions shared a more capable turbo. Now with the MK8 the 100 , 125, and 140 apparently all have the same turbo as well. At least this is what i was able to gather from research
@@dean8067 I may be wrong, as I forget things often 😅 That and I'm not very technically minded But If I remember correctly, I heard the 140 definitely had a slightly larger turbo as well as the thicker headgasket. Companies like BlueFin have changed their map in revent times to lower the power increase, I can only assume due to reliability As for the mk7s, I had a work colleague that blew a headgasket only a week after the map. How on earth he managed that, who knows. But the car was toast from that point. He stripped it for parts and scrapped the rest
@@TheBritishMatt Yeah it seems most people are in agreement about the 140Hp model's changes haha. And damn thats bad, there's also a guy on TH-cam who pushed his MK7 Fiesta 1.0 To over 200 Horsepower on stock internals and parts. Not sure which version it was originally, but it apparently caught fire while driving. I honestly would be scared of things like this. But thats why I'll stick to around 160 to 170 Horsepower even with all the mods in mind. I want to keep the car for at least 2 or 3 years so it needs to be reliable.

Is not the display of hybrid 155 hp (St line X) full digital? The analogic is of the 125 hp... And the max speed declared is 211 km/h when you reached 223
In Germany there is no full digital display for the Fiesta, yet. The 155 hp-version also has analog instruments. Top speed as declared by Ford is 219 km/h.
@@larsw.3240 Also for the Focus? This is a Focus. And why in Italy the speed declared should be less? {211 km/h)
@@marphy2516 Oh sorry, you are right! Obviously I got confused there. The Focus is available with analog or digital instruments. Don't know for what edition the fully digital display is standard. In the beginning of the video it states a top speed of 211 km/h, indeed. That might be because the Focus is heavier than the Fiesta. Since the speedometer usually isn't completely accurate the higher speed probably is due to the combination of downhill driving and overstatement. Greetings form Germany, stay safe!
@@larsw.3240 No problem :). I know that the full digital display on focus is std only on ST line X 155 hp. Than, yes, is possible that the overspeed is due to the reasons you sayd.

Hello! Ηave you seen big difference in speed power between the 155ps and the 125ps. Is that differece huge? I wonder if I did wrong I bought the 125ps version.
Not a big difference in power/performance, mostly fuel consumption

@@creatineenjoyer7345 It's basically the same engine, so if the 125 hp is reliable its big brother should be just as much.

Loving the video though And very impressive car! :)
The Ford Focus MK4 is fuel efficient and possibly one of the most fun cars in the segment. The assistance systems are pretty much a norm nowadays and will eventually be mandatory, just like ABS and ESP did. It's not like manufacturers are prioritizing assistance systems over other crucial areas of their cars, so what's your point?
just imagine if the system would have been hard braking because it has detected a fake dangerous situation. Hard braking, at that speed, on a downhill while turning left...
It did happend me with audi a4 2 years ago at 200 kmh cruising at night on autobahn then suddenly hard brake for about 1-2 sek down to about 140 kmh or something.
My friend recorded this video, he lives near US army base thats why many american cars driving around. And US trucks convoy at 2:45.
Thats nice project about your fiesta tuning :)
Just watch the headgasket. If anything will go on the 1.0l 100bph then its that.
They apparently put on a slightly better headgasket for the 125 and 155 (not sure about the hybrid models) in order to improve reliability with the higher power output. So if you do map it, thats the point of concern.
Ofc just make sure you scour the forums before you take the plunge
(I have one myself, 1.0T 100bph in a fiesta stline.
@@dean8067 I may be wrong, as I forget things often 😅
That and I'm not very technically minded
But If I remember correctly, I heard the 140 definitely had a slightly larger turbo as well as the thicker headgasket.
Companies like BlueFin have changed their map in revent times to lower the power increase, I can only assume due to reliability
As for the mk7s, I had a work colleague that blew a headgasket only a week after the map.
I still don't get how can you have a hybrid with a manual transmission?

@@TESTDRIVEFREAK I don´t mean to say that driving without gloves means a higher risk of accidents, it´s just a matter of personal habits. I say it again: you are a magnificent driver.
@Harim Sorry for asking, but why on earth would you need gloves to drive a modern car on the autobahn even at high speeds? These vehicles are equipped with electric power steering and mostly have leathered steering wheels. In addition to that you only provide minimal steering inputs.
