Burning season is throughout SE Asia, I traveled to Taiwan and was surprised at the smoke that was present in Taipei. Although there is burning done in Thailand, much of it originates in Myanmar, parts of China, Lao, Cambodia and northern Vietnam the lack of winds unfortunately causes the smoke to accumulate in parts of Thailand. The solution is very complex as it has to be implemented in several countries to be effective.

The day after bonfire night (5th November) in the UK the air is thick with the smoke from the bonfires and fireworks, I couldn't imagine how I'd feel if it lasted for months!
