It's indeed wonderful to see Chiang Mai again thru' your eyes. I've been there before but it was quite a while ago. That temple is lovely. In fact all temples in Thailand are beautiful. I love night markets in Chiang Mai, my own favourite being Chiang Mai Gate Night Market, at the southern limit of the old city.
The cafe we went to was just across from Chiang Mai Gate 😊 Lots of food around there!

It was actually our first time going to the Canal Market … it’s not quite as good as the Jing Jai Sunday Market that we featured last time. That morning market is our favourite 😊

Yeah, burning season gets quite unbearable. So far this year has been great…still clear enough in Chiang Mai.

I wish Joy and I had bumped into you when you were here to buy you lunch or something to thank you for your kindness in letting us use your Lipe footage. I've been to Wat Lok Moli many times. You did a nice job filming. I don't remember the while elephant statues Flora walked by so I have to pay more attention. And no mist there for my last visit. That was nice. My daughter Hailey actually used to volunteer teaching English to the monks there. And she got to meet the abbott there who is evidently a major monk in Thailand, so even more interesting for her. I hope you enjoyed your return to CM. (:

Chiang Mai, I have so many good memories visited there with my family and especially with my first grandchild Logan. The beef noodle place is one of my (must try) things to do 😋👍

Kid tung mak maa my 2nd home CNX, been living there for 6 years and used to have beef noodles in a shop opposite to Wat Santitham but unfortunately it closed ( but I remember the main shop is in Mae Rim ).....for little adventures try to go to Wat Palad :).....and don't forget to practice your Lanna skills language haha....Cha yen at talad Warorot sao bath jao 😁 chok dee na krap guys

Hi, Flora and Note. I love Chiang Mai. Lived there for 3 months. However, I wonder how Chiang Mai can be the most livable place in the world when it becomes so smoky for months in summer. The burning season drives many away from the city. Hoping for your reply.

I think May will be ok. Burning season usually starts in Feb to April.

Yeah we did stay at Dcondo Ping but for short term, it’s around 1000 Baht/night for a studio apartment during high season.
Last year i went to Chiang Mai because they are famous for their Vegan restaurants. Been there 10 times and love it. Did you notice that there is no Soi dogs? After the pandemic its empty. I didn't se any

Chiang Mai has plenty of options for vegans/vegetarians, well reviewed on Google Maps too so it’ll be easy to find if you’re looking for them.

I love Rote Yiam. I stayed by the Shangri La last year and there is a location across the street there too.
We got married at the Shangri-La in Chiang Mai! That location is very good too, might even be the first location of Rote Yiam.
