Quick correction, latent power works by the amount of damage output not taken.
Actually pretty nice on CB with it's high base damage. (Not all of your damage is phials)

@nikitandy988 burst only affects raw dmg tho so it really depends on what you want. Latent power is good but because db probably doesn't have any attacks with more than 100 motion value, you can't activate it earlier.

@@shawnzyplays I was moreso thinking that, with Odogaron Bowgun giving Reload Speed 2 (insane if it is true), that would mean you would only need it with Paolumu Chestpiece and Coral Pukei Waist for Recoil 3/Reload 3, and you'd still have the Helm, Arms, and Legs for other skills - and Decorations when they're added. If they put the Spread Skill in these locations, that would already be pretty insane.
Burst 4/Recoil 3/Reload 3 with Zinogure/Paolumu/Ratian/Coral Pukei/Zinogure - 5 Burst with Deco. Pierce Up is going to have to be strong to compete with this.

I'm still a long ways away from actually using my favorite weapon (Bowguns), it takes so much longer to kill without armor skills. I find myself on the timer edge more than the other weapons. Currently using Gyros SnS - only 3* right now.
Not planning on going past 4* until I finish upgrading all my armors up to that point.

Shawnzy what is the amount of status able to trigger per mob in 75sec?
depends on your build. Without any boost in status build up dmg, you should be able to proc twice in a hunt. Use that as a guideline and if you build towards status you should be able to proc 3 times or perhaps even more.
@@shawnzyplays is there a limit? Example 4 hunter with same status? Some say there is proc limit, k.o stun once per hunt, poison twice per hunt, para also twice per hunt or thrice? Do you have any idea on this?
@t3r3nc392 theoretically no limit. Each time you trigger a status, the next time it will take more status build up to cross the threshold.
The 3rd time will be more. The 4th time will be more than the 3rd time and so on.

You're right to an extent. But some monsters are only weak to single element.
For example pukei and jyura is weak to thunder, not dragon.
Zino, tzitzi and odo are weak to ice only. Not dragon
Jho weapon tempting.. too bad I already have new year hammer, which is dragon too.
Also, good info on the pros of jho weapons but the elephant in the room (-30% affinity) is something I feel should be addressed, in part through discussion or in link to another video. IMO, positive affinity is not really a big deal if you know how to fight the monster; it'll die anyway, just faster with + affinity. Negative affinity however essentially means you start out nerfed and should be addressed. Certainly, players like @Shawnzy would probably balk at this, taking - affinity as a challenge and kill the monster anyway but not all of us are as skilled.
BTW, another pro of jho weapons I believe is that they *may* have higher base and dragon damage values (citation required) as compared to equivalent alternatives, such as the new year weapons, because of the -30% affinity penalty associated with these weapons. Example: jho hammer is 1318 damage with 1261 dragon with -30% affinity at G10 1/5 and lucky dragon hammer is 1293 damage with 910 at G10 1/5. Another good reason to choose them over new year variants *if* the affinity issue can be addressed.
Hey Plex, you're absolutely right. I've missed out on the -30% affinity. In the stats comparison part of the vid, even if we were to take into account that -30% affinity, the effective dmg would still be slightly above the other weapons.
@@shawnzyplays that's good to know. i use diablos hammer g10 5/5 as my bread and butter and personally cannot live with -30%, which is why much of my build centers around removing that affliction. you mileage might vary.
do you have a charge blade build guide. I still dont know if I should stick to my focus 5 cb build or focus 0 with burst and partbreaker build 😭😭

@aldenteo55 for now I'll say just go with the usual crit build. Even tho phial burst doesn't crit, the actual axe hits are really strong.
Use that as a base first. Then adjust from there. If you find that you spend too much time charging phials, add maybe 3 levels of focus.

If you already have all elements then don't waste resources on odo.

Oh it wasn't his r6 material. The reward is a wyvern gem shard.

Would you recommend adding slugger to a LBG sticky build?
Yeah sticky deals ko dmg and can KO monsters but you gotta hit the head.
Slugger affects the Ko dmg dealt but realistically you're up against the 75s timer more than the actual monster itself so you gotta consider if other skills are more useful

why i cant find any deviljho near me, is anybody have same issue?
Deviljho only appears at random in unstable zones instead of the monster you tapped on, so you will never see him on the map unless you don't complete the hunt he appears in. Unstable zones can't be seen until you are in a terrain type, and it will be written in the top left corner with the terrain name e.g. "Desert(Unstable)" or "Swamp(Unstable)". Deviljho will only appear in these areas, so you want to tap on as many monsters as you can in these areas to make sure you don't miss it, even if you don't fight them all.
Wait till your area emits blue flame from the ground. Then click random monster

Go to unstable area and just tap all large monster. Usually for me its thunder weakness monster
