Thanks for the guide. What I am confused about with the swaxe is there is no reason for me to want to morph to axe mode unlike cb that is constantly changing between it's two modes. With swaxe, I want to be in sword as much as possible up to depletion of the gauge.

Hey Shawnzy I love your videos, thx so much for this content, but something I wanted to know is Switch Axe's crit hits, what combo/hits does or not crit. 🥺 Like Charge blade can't crit on phial strikes Just to know if worth to use a crit build (sorry for my bad English)

Any info on the phials math? Like is the power/elem phials boosting total raw/element or just the base? Example: jura axe g3.1 (just forged) has 75 water +500 from water 5 Do i get 575 x phial % Or 75 x phial % + 500 Also what are the power and element phial % boots?

Im making the tigrex swagx and witv lvl 3 of critical ferocity the "red crit" does massives damages 💯

Regardless of element/phials what is the best switchaxe to go for?

I love SAxe I main GS but when SAxe was introduced it was instant love. coolest weapon imo. The way you stab and cling on the monster is just unhinged I love it.

Shawnzy, i watched your video since the charge blade guide, mhnow is my first monster hunter game, and now I’m a charge blade main lol. Nice video anyway, all the best in your projects, don’t stressed out. ✌️

You can also do a normal morph slash after any attack, hold and swipe up. (Works for sword > axe also) I find it a bit inconsistent, but I'm still not used to the special button for just morphing Also the forward poke (forward + circle on ds4 controller) exists. It's done automatically when you can reach with that forward step, but only as first attack in the basic combo (can only replace the up-swing)

In sword mode, the damage doesn't seem that insane to warrant the awful dodge/mobility you get.

Something worth mentioning is the huge amount i-frames you get when you cancel an elemental discharge. The entire cancel animation has s and can be used to dodge attacks, either intentionally, or as an emergency maneuver after completing a PD > double slash > heavenward > ED combo Also non-perfect dodge s in sword mode are nearly non-existent and your hop is tiny, so you can either time your perfect dodges or use the ED cancel i-frames to avoid getting hit

I find sleep better for solo hunts because you can take advantage of rude awakener and paralysis better for group hunts because everyone beating up on a paralyzed monster taking advantage of the damage boost does more than you can on your own.

Yeah! New monsters but old hunters all stuck at refining parts 😂

I'm new to charge blade in the game but I love my blasting build with artillery and quick work build, ❤ it goes boom every 2nd hit.

...Ye goodness...was that the music from the end of the Warcraft 3?! That Horde metal band?!🤣 Eh, Season 4 is just more stuff...I already have plenty of weapons to upgrade, so I'll just be playing catchup anyway. (And the palico stuff...wake me up when we can forge equipment for them and they can actually help us out in hunts!)
