I like the Idea.....I'm on my third Piranha Portable due to the power wire hooked up to the Monitor has failed me twice..( Im not a fan of clipping in and off the cables)..I like the Piranha because it take double A batteries so I don't need a charge...I have been using a small soft skin 6 can cooler for my fish finder....The Monitor stays in the bag, and when Im done the Transducer, power wires goes into the bag and zips up. No Wire disconnecting.

I like your set up but it’s on a big /heavy side.
I’m thinking about converting my 5ah dewalt drill battery to power up my garmin 4.
Half size , half weight And 5ah battery has enough juice for full day of fishing.

Hi mark really enjoyed your video but i have a question I've looked into building the same set up from what I've been told the chargers for a single battery are expensive because normally the batteries are charged in pairs when their on a mobility scooter how do you get round this and is their any reason why you didn't use a motorcycle battery that can be charged from a normal charger cheers dave
