    Who would give this video thumbs down - your X-girlfriends? This is the best I've seen, elucidating those colorful screens which made no sense to me till now. Great job!

    This guy should be getting paid by Garmin for providing a service they can't even begin to match. He knows his stuff and can relate in a positive way with Garmin owners. Not only that he is a wonderful spokesman for the company.

    The way I figured it out was by tying on a LARGE swimbait and watching how it shows up on the fishfinder. This allowed me to see the "radius" of the finder... and gave me a better understanding of where I need to place by lures to hookup with a fish based on where it appears on the fish finder. This was an awesome explanation. This took less than 8 minutes but really explained what was going on and why... which makes my test make even more sense.

    • @1Cast1Fish
      @1Cast1Fish  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The swimbait idea is a awesome idea...glad you are out there learning your electronics....sure it will pay off

      How did you do? Did you just drop it straight down or did you cast it away from your boat?

    Hey 1Cast 1Fish, can't tell you how excited we are to see such smart analysis! I especially loved you tackling the math problems (and later making fun of it). Thanks. but, you're killing me... Your explanation assumes the boat is moving? and at a consistent speed? Why not say that? And what happens if your boat is in one place, and a fish swims by? Arrrrghhh. Could you tell me what a fish looks like if you're parked and waiting for a fish to swim by? So confused, and grateful at the same time. All best. Very inspiring.

    Thank you for these videos! Super helpful. I think I understand that if a fish enters the cone from ANY direction, it will show the same 2D image in the screen. So if my boat is stationary, and if a fish enters the cone, and makes a 90° turn directly under the transducer, it would paint the same image as if the fish swam straight through the cone. I wouldn’t then know which direction to cast but would know there is a fish near by that just left the cone width.

    • @1Cast1Fish
      @1Cast1Fish  ปีที่แล้ว

      In general that would all be correct, some things could alter the results some as there are always other variables at play as well. However this would be a good basic understanding.

      Do you have a video made for fishing in 600 to 800 feed deep saltwater ?

    • @1Cast1Fish
      @1Cast1Fish  ปีที่แล้ว

      No I do not, honestly if that is the depth I was fishing I would want a larger stronger unit than a Striker 4. I would be in the Echomap or GPSMap series.
