Hi! Excellent video. So I bought a new clutch and measured the pack without the 1 mm end plates and it measured 26.2 mm whilst the minimum for my bike is also 26.4 mm as well. Therefore the pack measurement must include the outer 1mm plates. If you don’t include them you’ll always be replacing your clutch and most certainly unnecessarily.
Great vid, I'm just about to replace the clutch and friction rings on my 2017 500 EXC and im so glad i found your vid or i could have messed it up deluxe, im confident to do is properly now
my clutch is not wanting to engage, i put the plates in correctly and the dampeners also. i pulled the leaver and it’s just not wanting to move at all?
Did you say 2013? I have 2013 350 excf and want to replace the clutch and rubber dampers. Just not sure which clutch holding tool I need. Some are bike specific plus not even sure what type of clutch I have yet. DDS or the multiple springs setup
Any idea why the clutch would not be locking properly? The bike doesn't go while in gear and is possible to push forward while not running and in gear, like it is in neutral. The clutch has just been replaced with stock plates.
Hi I'm assuming the bike was fine before the clutch install. Take the clutch cover off and check the operation of the clutch 9:48 in the video you should see good movement with the pressure cap if not there is something wrong and the clutch will need to be pulled apart. Sound's like the clutch is always engaged and not releasing.

I created these videos for this reason. Cheers
there’s holes on top and bottom so u can take out out clutch plates by hand
You don't drain the oil first?

If the clutch has been installed correctly you could bleed the clutch to see if that helps.

Just punch your bike details into a moto shop website or a KTM dealer website and you should be right to go

What would happen if you mixed up the 1mm plates with the 1.4mm plates?
I would keep it standard
